1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3267]. Rather disturbing to work in this environ for this body, owing to those disturbances that exist.
3. As we find, there are disturbances of a specific nature. These need not necessarily be progressive, if the general vitality of the body is built up. Neither should the disturbance necessarily grow to the other side, or the auditory nerve become too badly involved.
4. We find that this may be aided somewhat. It may add to the confusion of the body, though, if there are the applications to correct same. But if the general health of the body is built up, these conditions should not spread nor become involved in the other ear.
5. These will require, then, regular intervals of corrective measures osteopathically - and regular habits even.
6. Under the present circumstance, do drink each day four ounces of gingerale with two ounces of top cream in same.
7. Do walk at least half a mile each day; and this as exercise, not going to or from labors.
8. Do have the regular setting-up exercises morning and night.
9. The osteopathic treatments should be about twice each week for a series of six treatments. Then these may be taken one every two weeks, or every month, for a general relaxing of the body.
10. In the diet, do keep body-building foods; including at least once each day plenty of carrots, raw and cooked; not necessarily at the same meal but alternate them. Prepare

with other vegetables, but take plenty of carrots, plenty of beets - but not with vinegar. These should be a portion of the diet regularly. Turnips also should be included whenever in season, the tops as well as the root itself.
11. Not too much of fats, but foods that are easily assimilated; plenty of fish, both canned and fresh.
12. Doing these, we should bring the better conditions for this body.
13. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) What caused my loss of hearing when a young girl? (A) This is from catarrhal condition, and it was the filling of the eustachian tube at first. Now it is the drying of the inner ear. Thus it would be irritating to add any stimulating influence. Hence general body conditions should be improved.
15. (Q) Did having a wisdom tooth pulled a few years ago have anything to do with it? (A) This caused irritation, but building up the general health this condition should be builded back and not advance farther.
16. (Q) Is the right ear affected also? (A) Only sympathetically, as we find in the present. But building up body forces, putting on body resistance will aid. Do as given.
17. (Q) What causes the kink I get in my left hip when I have done work such as gardening requiring stooping over, or even raking leaves causes such a catch in my upper leg or hip that it is hard to even put my weight on my left leg alone? (When I have rested and not done any of this work for a time, the condition is hardly noticeable.) (A) This is from lack of body resistance and the long standing at times. Take the regular exercise as indicated, - the setting-up exercise, the little walk early of morning or late in the evening. Have the osteopathic corrections made as suggested. And we should have better forces.
