Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Ala.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: (In making the location - "matron's office" - .)

3. Yes, we have the body, [3284].

4. Now, as we find, there are disturbances that prevent the better physical functioning of this body. These, as we find, as to the acute condition, are from definite causes and are, apparently, far from where the effects are seen.

5. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body:

6. The blood supply indicates a great deal of toxic conditions and these - combined with the specific crosses where pressures exist in the coccyx and lumbar area of the body, cause the agitans or the trembly sensation along portions of the spine, which is indicated in the inability of the body to control the muscular forces in head and neck; giving considerable pains at times at the 1st and 2nd cervical area - while the pressure, as indicated, is in the coccyx and lumbar area.

7. These toxic conditions, too, need attention. For, unless these are corrected, the corrections for the others would be of little significance - or other conditions that affect heart, liver and kidneys, may be even in worse condition after a little. For, these are producing plethora in the abdominal area or colon, in the ascending area of the colon. And this gives some distress at times; though only when there has been an unusual amount of exercise, standing, walking or excitement for the body.

8. Then, in making corrections, all of these conditions are to be taken into consideration.

9. First, there should be sufficient hydrotherapy treatments

3284-1 Page 2

to correct the plethoric condition in the colon. This will also aid in correcting the prolapsus in the descending area, or across the transverse and a portion of the descending area of the colon. Colonic irrigations should be given scientifically by a good hydrotherapist. There should be at least three or four of these before other corrections are attempted. These should be at least ten days or two weeks or more apart, dependent upon the manner in which these are used.

10. For such colonic irrigations we would use water, body temperature, carrying soda and salt as a cleanser or purifier, in the proportions of a heaping teaspoonful of table salt and a level teaspoonful of baking soda to each half gallon of water. In the last rinse water, use a tablespoonful of Glyco-Thymoline or Lavoris to each half gallon of water.

11. After the colon condition has been corrected (through the colonic irrigations), begin with osteopathic treatments. But apply wet heat before attempting to adjust the coccyx and the sacral conditions where pressures exist. Make these corrections first, then coordinate - at each treatment, the 9th dorsal, the upper dorsal, and throughout the cervicals, with those corrections made in coccyx and sacral area. When beginning these treatments with the osteopath we should have these at least twice a week for the first series of about twelve or fifteen treatments. Rest then from all the applications for two to three weeks, and then the whole procedure may be necessary to go over again - dependent upon the reactions of the body.

12. Be mindful in the diet that there is little meat. Fish and fowl, when any is taken. Leafy vegetables are preferable to those of the pod variety. Very little white potatoes. No white bread, no spaghetti or macaroni or things of that nature, but leafy vegetables and green vegetables often. Especially have plenty of watercress, green.

13. Do these, and we will make for better conditions for this body.

14. Ready for questions.

15. (Q) Any suggestions as to daily exercise or other routine? (A) Not such a great quantity of exercise while these treatments are being taken.

16. (Q) How can I improve my eyesight? (A) With the improvement of these pressures especially in the upper dorsal and the cervicals, the eyesight will be aided.

17. (Q) Any particular doctor in this vicinity that you

would suggest? (A) A good hydrotherapist, then a good osteopath.

18. We are through with this reading. Two copies to Self - (one for the hydrotherapist and osteopath) Copy to Ass'n file " " Miss Goodall for indexing (We do not know of a hyrdotherapist in your vicinity. Several years ago we had some contact through another patient with an osteopath in Mobile: Dr. Meredith White, First National Bank Bldg., Mobile, Ala. He may be able to recommend a hydrotherapist who can give you the colonics which are to prepare you for the osteopathic treatments. Please fill out and return the enclosed Membership application blank to keep in our files.)
