Born May 7, 1890, in Columbus, Ohio. Time of Reading 4:15 to 4:35 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Ohio.
1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years to birth date:) Columbus, Ohio. Yes - one of the cities not a very good place to be born for some, and good for others - for it changes its place on the cycle at times.
3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3544].
4. In giving the interpretations of the records here, these we give with the desire and purpose that this may be a helpful experience for the entity. While many unpleasant things may be said about the tendencies in the selfishness of the entity, yet we would minimize the faults and magnify the virtue. And this the entity should adopt as its first principle, in the changing of its life as it goes to seek new opportunities.
5. Quit finding fault with others and others will quit finding fault with you. This is the first thing to adopt in thy new life. And let this be a new experience for you - to recognize the abilities as well as the faults.
6. For there are a great many abilities in the entity to get a great deal out of others. But never attempt to get more out of others than you give others. For even the horse is worthy of his hire - even the donkey! And ye may do the more for that one whom ye would serve. And whoever may

serve with thee is thy brother, no matter in what position he may be. Forget these not. They are basic laws, basic principles. And quit finding fault with others!
7. Ye have the ability to judge things. It is well to judge things - it is bad to judge yourself or your fellow man. Whatever the activities may be, whether pertaining to a washing machine or a flying machine, it is well to judge its abilities to serve man. For the injunction to man is to subdue the earth. Then all the powers of creation are in the hands of man, and ye are a very good one to handle much of these - but know that these abilities are lent thee by a divine power. Who made thee lord of any soul?
8. Remember these, and in the choice of thy labors - whether as an overseer in woodworking or in steelworking or in whatever character of activity - see that every man has all that is coming to him, and every man will see that what ye attempt succeeds under your hand.
9. Astrologically we have urges arising from Mercury, shadowed with Saturn, we have Jupiter shadowed with Mars. What a combination! For in being and in giving an activity of a universal nature it is shadowed by anger. You don't get mad because you have to go to church! You don't get mad because you have to speak kindly to your brother! You don't get mad because you have to take time to tip your hat to your brother's wife! No! It is not that ye should expect others to look up to thee. For if ye would be the greater, ye will be the servant of all. This doesn't mean being the footpad. It means that ye offer that which ennobles in thy principles before thy fellow men, but if ye will look at it materially, it makes them beholden to thee.
10. In thy abilities in the mental capacities changes have been wrought as in Saturn. Changes are wrought in management, changes are wrought by death, changes are wrought by the variedness as to who is to be head. And you've been put out by many of these. Don't let it bring anger to thee. But begin in the beginning. Find thy ideal spiritually.
11. This isn't preaching. This isn't giving just a good policy. This is obeying the law - the law of man and the law of God. And these coordinated will make a success out of even an ass.
12. Then, do make thyself coordinant with the laws of God, with the laws of nature, with the laws of man, and ye will find that thy abilities will mean much.
13. As to the appearances in the earth, we find that before this the entity was in the earth during the period of the American Revolution.

14. The entity then acted in the capacity of a messenger, an informer, when there was no other means of instruction than a messenger being sent from one command to another. The entity did a very good job until it became cold weather, and some of those things that should have been done ye didn't do - and you've regretted it ever since. Just as you find latent in self, every once in a while there comes the knowledge, "I've left something undone that I should have done."
15. Begin in the beginning. Learn thy relationships with God. Stand oft and look thyself in the mirror and see if you see an image of the God you worship. If you don't, change it. Change your disposition, smile more. Don't hate anyone. Don't begrudge anyone. And you will find life different.
16. The name then was Isaac Hicks, and you'll still find some of those same problems still being met in thyself - until you change and right about face.
17. Before that the entity was in the land of the Saxons, in portions of the lowlands of now France and Belgium.
18. The entity then was among those who were makers of pottery, of cloth, of those things that contributed to the welfare and the betterment of conditions in the homes and environs. Those things having to do with the making of furniture, furnaces, shuttles, cloth, hats, shoes, were all a part of the entity's activities.
19. Thus we will find the interest of the entity ever being in the industrial field. For there the entity was looked up to by his fellow men - and he liked it! Yet instead of using it to be of greater service, you liked it too well and others forgot you.
20. Hence we find the innate feeling that the entity loves people, loves to be with people, but he feels that people withdraw when he comes about. This brings about those feelings of loneliness, even in a crowd. It makes for the feeling ever that someone is withholding from him something that the entity would like very much to know, and yet the entity feels loath or unwilling to be completely honest with other folks.
21. This makes not too pleasant a life oft for the entity, for this is not only in the closest of associations of the entity but in secular things as well as in business relationships.
22. The name then was Seth Ludlow.
23. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land when there were the preparations for the opening of the mines where precious jewels, gold and other minerals were found.
24. The entity was put as an overseer or director of mines.

Thus the interest the entity finds in construction, in things having to do with various activities. Thus the many minded abilities of the entity.
25. The name then was Et-an-iled.
26. As to the abilities of the entity:
27. First know self, and you will feel at first you haven't much left. You haven't - unless you will join up with the source of power that never fails. And then you have it all!
28. Do THAT. It's worth while. Ye know wherein others fail, and you know how to make it right. For know, as ye forgive ye are forgiven. For He has promised, "Though ye be far off, if ye call I will hear and answer speedily."
29. Then brother, do something about it!
30. Ready for questions.
31. (Q) In what kind of business would I be most successful? (A) Anything that has to do with supervising activities.
32. (Q) Would you advise me to go into business with someone or should I work for someone else as an employee? (A) Go into business with someone, whether it is washing or ironing or steel or whether it has to do with the manufacture of things.
33. (Q) Is it possible for you to give me the name and address of the company with whom I will be next associated? (A) You'd better prepare yourself and make yourself worthy of such first, before you ask the name. Know, as has ever been given, when ye are prepared for a thing, the opportunity to use it presents itself.
