This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3564], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by her brother, Mr. [3062].

R E A D I N G

Time of Reading 11:35 to 11:50 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Ohio.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3564].

3. In giving the interpretations of the physical disturbances here, these we find are running very true to astrological aspects of this body. We find a body inclined towards anemia, with a tendency for the digestive forces to be easily upset.

4. There is the inability, as it were, of the stomach to empty the foods properly. This is inclined to make for formation of gas and those distresses caused from lack of proper flow of the acids, or proper distribution of acids and the alkalines from the glands in the mouth and the upper or the cardiac portion of the stomach. Thus we have periods of headaches, colds, disturbances through the lymph circulation in the face, the antrum, mastoids, the throat, the tonsil area and the back portion of nasal passages. All give trouble.

5. The circulation below the 9th dorsal we find poor, so that there are cold spots on the body. The body is easily inclined to have cold feet and the limbs become disturbed. If the body sits long it gets nervous.

6. All of these are general results of what might be called inhibitions. Or the body being inclined to close in on itself. Timid, lack of self-expression. Too oft has the body been closed in; that is, the body has been too sedentary in its activities. It should be out of doors more; holler, yell more, for the fun of it! The body has wanted to many times and never has to the full extent in its whole experience, since it was sat upon by somebody - it

hasn't ever liked very well since. But the body needs to change its environment, to be where it will meet lots of people and have to do a lot of talking and a lot of explaining to people that you realize don't know near as much as you do, and give to those who think they know a lot. If you will only realize it, you know a lot more than they do - on any subject.

7. These changes will make a great deal of difference with this body.

8. As to physical applications:

9. Every week for at least a month to six weeks, have a Swedish massage. Don't be afraid to get in the steam room. You need to inhale some of the steam into your nostrils as well as into your lungs. Not too long, to be sure, the first time. But be in the steam, not your head poking out of a cabinet but in the steam - only a minute to two minutes at first, then the time may be gradually increased. After this have a thorough massage, kneading the limbs and torso, the area around the lungs, the back of neck and head. All of these should be kneaded, not so much adjustments as a good massage. Not too much pinching but rolling, as it were, in the circular motions with the hands. For such a massage use an equal combination of Olive Oil and witchhazel. These will tend to separate, but shake together until it is thoroughly mixed each time before using, and massage thoroughly into all portions of the body. Do knead from the left side, the area of the stomach, toward the right side, pulling up the upper portion of the liver; so that we empty the stomach well. And we will change these conditions so that the end of the esophagus will "up" a bit and the stomach will empty much better. Also give particular reference to feet and limbs. The toes should have particular attention, especially under the toes and the bursa in front of feet, and the Achilles bursa also in the heel. Massage the oils into these areas thoroughly.

10. When these have been given four to six times, then begin taking Calcios three times each week. Just eat a whole wheat cracker thinly spread with Calcios, preferably at the noon meal.

11. Also at the same time begin taking KalDak as a tonic and also as a supplement to the digestive forces; for many of the vitamins needed in the diet. Take a heaping teaspoonful once each day except on Sundays - skip those. First dissolve it in a little hot water and fill the glass with whole milk - that is, shake up the bottle of milk with the cream still on it and use this.

13. In the matter of the diet, keep plenty of raw vegetables; as water cress, celery, lettuce, carrots, mustard, onions, radishes and the like. Not necessarily all of these at any one period but some of them every day. Often prepare these with gelatin - about three times a week, for gelatin also is needed in the body. Grate them, slice them, dice them, changing their manner of preparation so as not to become objectionable.

14. Don't be afraid of having troubles this or that time - you won't! Know that whatever you want you can have. For the Lord loveth those who love Him and He will not withhold any good thing from such.

16. (Q) Is there likelihood of bad health in March? (A) If you are looking for it you can have it in February! If you want to skip March, skip it - you'll have it in June! If you want to skip June, don't have it at all this year!
