R E A D I N G
Born April 24, 1894, on a farm in Norfolk County, Va. Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:20 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Virginia.
1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions she submits, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records here as indicated in the personality and individuality of the entity now known as or called [3576].
3. In interpreting the records there is much from which to choose. There are many interpretations that may be made of that which is a part of the experience of this entity; not only in the present sojourn but all of the sojourns that have to do with the present experience of the entity.
4. These we choose from same with the desire and purpose that if the spiritual and mental suggestions are applied in the entity's activities they will bring more harmony and peace, and a greater understanding of that taking place in the experience during this present period of sojourn.
5. Urges we find latent and some manifested by nature, by purpose, by intent. The entity is spiritual in its import, yet it has allowed the thought of "What will people say?" to have much to do with the choices made by the entity in its relationships and dealings with others.
6. Then, the question might easily be asked: What is the variation or difference in the entity being influenced by what may be indicated here and that prompted much from others' experience?
7. One has brought confusion, mentally and in some material aspects. Yet if these suggestions are approached rather

from the spiritual angle first, they should bring harmony and peace into the entity's experience - and these the entity would find making the whole experience of life in the present much more worth while, or a change. The intents of the entity for becoming rather in that way of making personal application, rather than that as contingent upon principles.
8. For who made or set principles in the experience of the entity? It is that the entity has chosen as its ideal, whether it be in those things related to the soul or spiritual life, or in the mental enfoldments [unfoldments?] of the body itself, or in those things of the body-force or body-mind that has been and is a part of all that has to do with bringing harmony in the whole influence to the body expressions.
9. Latently and manifestedly we find Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Jupiter and Venus all as parts of the experience, or that which is represented symbolically or accredited to such influences of the nature from the astrological aspects - that are as influences in the life of the entity.
10. Then, we find high mental abilities, the tendencies for great changes in the environs, associations and activities. The abilities of the entity are in those fields that pertain to that innate general manner of applied arts. But this may be as much artistic in creating a home as in arranging a bowl of flowers. For each should be seeking to give, as would flowers, the whole of itself in glory to the Creative Forces or God.
11. Thus we find in Saturn the changes wrought, also the opportunities for the expressions of the mental body or mental self through those choices made by the entity in dealing with others.
12. Then, as to how the entity may apply such urges, this is also dependent upon the sojourns in the earth. For the high mental abilities apply directly to the mental self. As it unfolds or grows in a material plane, so does expression in the material plane give rise to urges that are latent and manifested through the sensory self.
13. Hence we find the entity a sensitive individual entity, sensitive to a fault at times. For what others imply, and what others are, they oft bring to bear influences towards experiences which bring changes in the environ and activity of the entity, consciously and unconsciously.
14. As related to these phases of the entity's experience, we find that much of that experienced through other sojourns becomes a part of the whole urge. For as has been indicated, the whole mental, physical and spiritual self

must be coordinant or cooperative one with the other, if the best that is within the experience of the entity would be the choice taken.
15. All of the activities in the earth may not be indicated in the present period, but sufficient to enable the entity - if there is the application in the present - to meet the needs of the entity, and to grow in grace, in knowledge and in understanding.
16. These require that certain definite individual rules be applied in the experience in and through this particular sojourn.
17. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods of the early settlings in the land, when there was the beginning of the establishing of classes or groups as some became leaders, governors or directors. Others became active in just meeting the needs of the physical body.
18. The entity gained through those periods of activity. For the entity has those virtues which, if applied for creative energies in the life, may unfold and bring better environs and surroundings for the entity.
19. Then the entity was among those of the established group active in things pertaining to moral welfare, through entertaining groups and masses. There are abilities in the entity at present to contribute to individual activity as related to creating peace and harmony. If applied, these will bring much greater harmony in the activity of the entity.
20. The name then was Julian, or Julian Howe. The entity gained, for the entity contributed daily in tenets and activities pertaining to the welfare of individuals and groups, during those periods of construction, in the unfolding of opportunities and possibilities in those activities.
21. Before that the entity was in the English land, in the name Marie Culpepper. The entity contributed to those activities in thought in which individuals were in those groups not controlled by edicts of Church or of a group.
22. These have brought to the experience of the entity in the present those opportunities in which the entity may aid in adding to the confidence of the individual in itself. For as the true law of such associations is announced, "Thy spirit beareth witness with my spirit as to whether ye be children of God or not."
23. The entity brought the awareness of this more often in its experience through the earth, adding to brotherly love, kindness, gentleness, patience, longsuffering. These are

not of the law, for they ARE the law as applied in self.
24. Before that the entity was in the Roman land and one in authority, one to whom those came who were in authority during the periods of certain sects or groups being persecuted. The entity was one to whom individuals looked when there were great decisions made, or to be made, in and under the arena circumstance.
25. These grew hard for the entity, just as in the present we find that discipline oft has riled the entity, as to the meaning of its own individuality and personality in the present.
26. But if there is the applying of those tenets that became as a part of such experiences, greater may be the abilities of the entity to unfold in the consciousness and the awareness of its relationships to the Creative Forces or God.
27. This do.
28. The name then was Eldranna.
29. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, when there were those periods of activity in which preparations were made for emissaries to be sent to various groups from one land to another.
30. The entity was among those who were brought to activity in such ways as to become an emissary to the land of Saad [?].
31. Hence we will find certain latent routines to which the entity may adjust itself, yet never quite sure of itself. Yet as might be the admonition, know in Whom ye have believed, and in Whom ye believe know He is able to deliver thee against any experience of whatever nature that may come into thy life, if ye will only trust in Him.
32. As to the abilities of the entity, that to which it may attain, and how:
33. In any of those fields of service wherein there is the contributing to the unfoldment of the young, as well as in those activities for making the earth just a little bit better for the entity having been in same, the entity may find the greater outlet for its abilities.
34. Study, then, to show thyself approved unto God, a workman not ashamed, rightly dividing the words of truth and keeping self unspotted from the world.

36. (Q) What were my relations with the following people in past experiences and how can I best help them now? First, my son, [...]? (A) In the experiences before this there were many differences that separated those activities. The positions

then were almost reversed. Hence as ye will find, so oft thy present son would tell thee what to do! The best contribution ye each may make is in finding the things on which ye agree. Know what you believe and who is the author of it. So with the relationship with son, know what he believes. Then point out to him the authorship of same. Under these ways of approach greater contributions for help may come. Help individuals help themselves. Don't just pass out confidences in one direction and live another.
37. (Q) My sister, [...]? (A) As we find, the experiences in the Egyptian land, where there were differences as to the manner of preparations of the groups for entering into the activities in the land. In the present great differences arise, but these need not disturb the entity, if the entity itself wholly lives up to its ideals.
38. (Q) Would it be best to stay in my present job? (A) For the immediate, yes - or until there are the changes in the environs, or until there are the variations in the various governmental activities. Then we will find there may be better relationships established with many - in and through thy abilities to contribute to the welfare of those with whom ye come in contact.
39. (Q) Is this the best location for me to work in? (A) As given, for the immediate - or throughout this period of the beginning of reconstruction in the activities of individuals with things, as well as with people. Work ye with people, not things.
40. (Q) Would appreciate having my life seal if it would be helpful at this time? (A) Not in the present. This may be a part of the experience, but we would build to a creative force in the experience that it may symbolize something in the experience.
41. (Q) Why do I often attract undesirable people? (A) That ye have much to give to others is indicated by all manners of people whom ye attract. Ye owe them an obligation. They owe thee an obligation. Use it, the privileges - don't abuse or lose opportunities.
