Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., California.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes. As we find, there are rather disturbing conditions here. The inhaling of some disturbing factors in either the fumes or steams has caused an accumulation in the lungs and in portions of the bronchi.
3. This has caused the tendency for the palate to fall. The relaxation of same causes continued coughs or irritations, unless very hot or very cold substances are taken in the throat - and these cause irritations afterwards, as the general relaxation begins.
4. We find that operative measures are not necessarily needed, if proper precautions and treatments are taken that would cause the absorption and relieving of this irritation.
5. There will be needed in the lungs area a stimulation that will act as an antiseptic for the air chambers, as well as for the throat and the palate. We would use two inhalants, one for the lungs themselves, the other for the irritation in the throat:
6. Prepare the brandy keg - a gallon and a half charred oak keg, prepared so that the gases that form from apply brandy as it evaporates (from being kept in a warm place where this will form in the vacuum above same) may be inhaled. Put half a gallon of pure apply brandy in the keg. Fix this so that the fumes may be obtained from one end of the keg, in the manner as we have outlined. Inhale these fumes about twice to three times each day.
7. Also prepare another inhalant for the throat, in this manner, adding the ingredients in the order named.

Pure Grain Alcohol.................4 ounces, Oil of Eucalyptus.................20 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp..............5 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin......20 minims, Oil of Pine Needles...............10 minims. Prepare this so that the fumes from shaking the solution may be inhaled through the nasal passages as well as for throat, but the greater part through the nasal passages, so that it passes into the area back of the throat - or in the back part of throat through nasal passages.
8. Twice each week for thirty minutes at first, and gradually increasing, we would apply the Infra-Red Light - not other types of light; for with the fumes of alcohol these would be detrimental, but the Infra-Red would be well. Gradually increase the time to at least an hour. This should be sufficient distance from the body not to burn.
9. Follow the Infra-Red with a massage over the chest and back, using an equal combination of Olive Oil (heated) and Tincture of Myrrh.
10. Keep up better eliminations. Colonic irrigations may be needed often, so as to cleanse the colon area.
11. To assist the eliminations occasionally take a vegetable laxative such as that having a senna base.
12. In the diet keep those foods that are body-strengthening; as plenty of liver, not too much fried but broiled, plenty of beef juices, plenty of fresh vegetable soups.
13. Do all of these and we will bring better conditions for this body.
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) When will I be able to work again? (A) This will depend upon the responses, but we should find responses in less than six weeks.
16. (Q) Will this inhalant stop my cough? (A) As indicated, both of them will. These will irritate at first, but use through the nostril for the stopping of cough, as well as inhaling into the lungs. Don't swallow the fumes but do draw into the bronchi and lungs the brandy fumes. Do use apple brandy, not apple jack.
17. We are through with this reading. Copy to Self - Air Mail " " Ass'n file (See sheets of directions [which were enclosed] for preparing the two types of inhalant recommended.
