This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of March, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3709], new Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., via Mrs. [3102] and THERE IS A RIVER.

R E A D I N G

Born October 13, 1903, in Lynchburg, Virginia. Time of Reading 11:35 to 11:50 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Tenn.

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - a good town to be born in and yet a good town to be away from for many.

3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [3709].

4. As we find in analyzing the records here there is much from which to choose. These that may be given the entity may be quite at variance to the entity's ideas at first. Study them. For as ye analyze self and the ideals and patterns ye have made in the earth, ye may apply this information in such a way and manner as to bring harmony and understanding in this present sojourn.

5. The natural trend of the entity is to lead, to direct, to teach, especially children. The entity has the abilities latent and manifest, though not altogether applied, to understand children. Thus the study of pedagogy, the study of child training, the study of child psychology, the study of the adolescent ages and stages of child life, should be the activity of this entity. Not only is this indicated from the sojourns of the entity in the earth and the manner in which it applied itself but from the astrological aspects also; as seen in Mercury, Venus and Jupiter, as the ruling factors in the entity's activity.

6. The mental abilities, the patience, the judgments, the understandings that are a part of the entity's innate and

mental self indicate those directions, as do the love and the ability to attain and gain confidences, the ability of the entity to make itself beloved by others. For the entity understands how to make itself lovely, how to gain confidence, how to work upon the sympathies, upon the emotions, through the various activities. Thus if the entity will apply itself in these directions, the entity may offer itself as a channel, either in the home or in the public for the general education of children, whether in music, in teaching tots or adolescents. Whatever the entity chooses it may apply itself to attain that beyond the ordinary. The entity is gifted in the ability to write. This, too, may be a part of the entity's experience a little later in preparing literature or books on pedagogy or books on child training or child development - those from two, three, four, six to ten years of age, as well as those from twelve to sixteen. These are abilities in the entity's experience.

7. As to the appearances in the earth:

8. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity during the early settlings.

9. Then in the name Celice Tate, the entity was a teacher, an instructor in the early settlings and adapted itself to the training and teaching that brought many of those to a more perfect correlating of ideas in their relationships to others.

10. Before that the entity was in the Holy Land among the mothers who gathered by the sea when the Master talked.

11. The entity was among those who sought for the blessings of the Master upon her children as well as those of the neighborhood.

12. Thus a purpose, a deep soul-purpose is a part of the entity's make-up. Whatever the entity promises it keeps, even though at times it hurts others or the entity finds it has been misunderstood in the causes or purposes. Yet this deep, innate experience of the entity as Celeste is that which gives this deeper purpose for others which may be applied in the present experience of the entity in its teachings.

13. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land when there were those preparations in the Temple of Sacrifice and the Temple Beautiful.

14. The entity was dedicated to the training of children, the care of children, even in those periods when children were cared for by the State rather than in homes. The entity applied those tenets that brought to the consciousness even of the teacher or the Priest, as well as

others, the fact that that bound by motherhood brought love and care that could not be replaced by whatever might be supplied by others not bound by the suffering that is a part of the experience of childbirth to every mother.

15. These are then latent and manifest facilities, manifested urges that may enable the entity with the study of self and of the young, to fit itself especially for such activities that may bring greater joy to the entity than in any other direction.
