Time of Reading 6:10 P. M. ..., Ohio. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now, we find, there are some abnormal conditions that may be corrected in this body. They have to do with the nerve forces in the body, the elimination as is shown and the effect of the non-elimination as should be carried out of the body.

2. Now, these are conditions, as we find them in this body, [3740], we are speaking of here, you see:

3. In the blood supply we find that carrying those forces that should be eliminated in the system through their proper channels; and the deflection of this condition has produced direct conditions, and they have become localized in portions of the body. The beginning of this was caused by bacteria carried in the system without the proper vibrations to remove or destroy this condition. When it found its weakest part in the system, and was affected by the congestion, we see how it works with the functioning of portions in the body.

4. In the nerve force of the body we find the sympathetics all through the system engorged in their centers, especially about those that are governing the eliminating centers from the cerebrospinal forces and the blood supply. Such we find here in the fourth cervical vertebra, until we have lesions in these portions or centers of the body. Hence the body at times cannot control the nerves and muscles that govern the body, especially to the extremities. In the nerves of the sensory forces we find, with the non-eliminating forces, we have produced in the force, especially to the eye, the strain on the optic nerve itself, to produce strangulation in part. Especially, is this shown in the frontal portion of the face, where the nerves to the nasal forces connect with those of the optic forces, as is shown by the condition of the nostril itself, or in that portion just back of the face proper of the body. This strangulation of the optic forces then comes from this condition, or from the old congestion as began in the body, and is shown in the condition as exists here, this being back of the frontal bone in the face proper. This is not caused by atrophied condition coming on

in the nerve, but will produce an atrophying of the optic nerve if strangulation is allowed to on in the body.

5. The condition, as we find, in the functioning of the organs are all governed, more or less, by the sympathetic condition of the body, so we have, with the change of the cycle in the body, the change of the effect of the organs themselves.

6. To relieve the condition here would be first to relieve that portion of the body that is causing the strangulation here of the optic forces. This would be done by the operation through the nostril itself; then by giving those properties in the system that will produce the perfect elimination throughout the system. Necessary that the optics be, or the eyes themselves, be kept from the light while the healing force goes on here.

7. But these medicinal properties would be taken into the system to give the system the resistance necessary in the body. To one gallon of rain water, add: Wild Cherry Bark....................4 ounces, Black Snake Root....................2 ounces, Ginseng...........................1/2 ounce, Dogwood Bark........................1 ounce, Elder Flower........................1 ounce. Reduce by simmering, not boiling, to one quart. Strain. While warm add three (3) drams Balsam of Tolu cut in six (6) ounces of Grain Alcohol. The dose would be a tablespoonful three times each day before meals.

8. To relieve the pain at present in the optics we would use the scrapings of the nightshade tuberous, or that as known as Irish potato; the old variety. This would be removed every three to four hours.

9. The operation should be performed as soon as possible. Only operate through the nostril. [3740], ... Columbus, Ohio.

10. (Q) Mr. Cayce, please tell us just how to go about the operation through the nostril? (A) First, we have the dilation of the nostril itself. Back in the frontal bone, as we have given, we have that nerve from the nasal forces that connect with those of the optics in their nerve and blood supply. With the overtaxing of the system, this force here, where we are describing, you see, has become so enlarged as to cut off the nerve and blood supply to the optic nerve to such an extent as to produce strangulation. Remove that condition or growth as shows there.

11. (Q) Mr. Cayce, if the treatment is followed out will this body be able to see again perfectly? (A) When these conditions are removed and the system is so set that elimination takes place properly, there will be nothing to hinder the body from having the use of the nerves that give the sight to the body. It is a strangulation at present. Remove that strangulation, and will give the correct sight to the body.

12. (Q) Mr. Cayce, how long will it take to perfect a cure for this body if the treatment as given is followed out? (A) Nineteen days. The bandage, you see, will only be on the eyes six days. After that, the bandage will be removed, and the light of a subdued form will be necessary for the body. The properties to stimulate the elimination through the body must be given all this time. Then the bandage will be replaced again, then the secretions as given off from the eye will be taken up here, you see. Be careful of infection only.
