Time of Reading 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3780]. Now, we find there are conditions as cause distress with the physical functioning of this body. These conditions have to do with the effect as produced from improper eliminations and the causes as PRODUCE this improper distribution of poisons from the system. In the activities of the system, these show the effects of this condition more than ordinarily - though the condition, taken in time, may be entirely eliminated from the system.

2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [3780] we are speaking of, present in this room.

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find evidences of the character of disturbance in circulation and elimination as regards the blood supply. The blood itself, in its elements or constituents, shows the lack of that vitality as is necessary to produce the better reactions and the constant rebuilding as is necessary. Hence the dullness and lethargy felt by the body, as if the inner texture or skin is separating from the outer casing or condition in the system; dizziness at times, headaches. These are results, not causes.

4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, OR SYSTEMS, here we find more of the disturbance, and WHY the circulation and capillary feeling is expressed, for there are subjugations [subluxations?] in the nerve system, especially in the lumbar and in the upper dorsal, and reflexly in the upper cervical. These, as we find in the lumbar, are more of causes, while those in dorsal and cervical region are sympathetic reflexes, and produced by disturbances from other portions of the system. Yet that in the lumbar produces most of the distress as is felt through the activity of the kidneys and bladder, and the CAUSES of sedimentary conditions existent at times are from improper distribution through the nerve plexus of those incentives to carry on the resuscitation of forces in these organs.

3780-1 Page 2

5. While that of the condition in the blood supply also PREVENTS this assimilation taking place properly to SUPPLY the needs - Hence the drain and strain on the system; the heaviness across the hips, the bearing down conditions in lower limbs at times.

6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, here we find the reactions, while little of ORGANIC condition, the FUNCTIONING of organs ARE disturbed.

7. In brain forces and the aptibility [aptness - adaptability?] of reflexes through the activities of the brain, are good; yet at times the body worries self at the inability of being able to recall wholly those facts or conditions as body feels the brain or mental forces should be active. These are reflexes, and with the vitality replenished, with the nerves released, with the symptoms functioning normal, we will find these changes will be to near the old normal self, with the ability to think and act coordinatedly, and quick and active in same.

8. Eyes, ears, and throat, show the effect of disturbances in CIRCULATION, as WELL as in the nerve supply. THESE reflexes are exhibited in the manner of the sensory organism's reaction. At times quick in vision, in hearing, in feeling, in expression. At others apparently all seems to be, to have to respond secondarily, or to hear again, or to look at the second time before the full response is gained to the system. This from poisons, as we shall see through the mesenteric system and through the vegetative nerve system forcing into the capillary circulation those conditions as has been described, and that FEELING - as of SENSING, yet not coordinating.

9. Lung forces - these show the effect of the circulation; NOT organically disturbed, though depressions at times along the upper portion of the diaphragm gives the feeling of the fullness in the lungs.

10. The heart's action not WHOLLY in accord, for with nerve conditions existent, with the depressions as seen in circulation, these at times show quickness - and again slowness in action, but a reflex condition - NOT an ORGANIC condition.

11. In the digestive system and the liver: Through the hepatic circulation, and through the mesenteric system - that is, the connections between the organs of the body and the cerebrospinal centers along the cerebrospinal nerve system, or the connection with the trunk portion of the body - we find inflammation at times, and this dull sluggishness as occurs from same, this nausea, and the filling up of the stomach in that as is of gas, or of depressions, and again

3780-1 Page 3

as of gnawing in the stomach - are the results of the system attempting to adjust itself. This NOT a whole CAUSE of the trouble - rather a reflex condition exaggerated by poisons, or those of the forces attempting to eliminate through other channels than normal. The liver not functioning normal, not in a condition that may be even called torpidity - but rather that of the sedimentary - that is, sluggish at times - at others sufficient of excretory functioning for digestion - at others the digestion apparently has little or nothing to digest, but becomes stale, or rancid, or lays in the stomach without proper eliminations. These, as we see, are basic forces of disturbance - yet are reflex, NOT the causes; for the causes, as is seen, is that depression as exists in the lumbar region - in the form of lesions there, that disturbance through the hepatic, through the mesenteric system, through that of the vegetative system, as to bring poor reflexes or else the body would find that these conditions becoming localized in one place, we would have either those of ulcerations of the intestines, or ulcers or lacerations in stomach - especially in the lower portion or pyloric end. This, however, does not occur here as yet - rather soreness and the constipation as is effective in UPPER portion is as of these causing in the system a pressure bordering close to above normal, again subnormal - becoming subnormal in temperature, or at another portion of the day abnormal in temperature. These effects in the system are depressing to the whole general body.

12. Now, the seat or the cause of these conditions: As we find from the condition in the mesenteric forces and about the organs themselves, there are inflammations in the vegetative nerve centers, or from the lower dorsal-lumbars, and ESPECIALLY from the lower part of the dorsal plexus center, or the 9th, 10th and 11th dorsal. These are the seats, or the centers of disturbance. That condition as exists with the mouth, or teeth these are secondary, and are rather the RESULTS than causes, and when ONE - or that in the sympathetic and the cerebrospinal are relieved in lumbar regions, and the conditions in the intestinal tract are producing normal eliminations, these will gradually disappear. Should these become centralized, then LOCAL applications will be necessary to remove or destroy that as is producing disturbance.

13. Then, to meet the needs at the present time, first we would apply those forces as will bring about the near NORMAL eliminations for the system without producing irritation to the body.

14. We would add, then, those of Occy-Crystine, taken each

3780-1 Page 4

day for at least six days - a whole tablespoonful given as a dose. The body should rest during the period when this is being taken. This will change the reactions, yet producing pain through the intestinal tract. These should be given once each day, preferably in the evening. While this may produce disturbance in the rest for the first day or two, the MANIPULATIONS as would be given along the cerebrospinal system - especially in that region from the 10th dorsal UPWARD - would assist in relieving these. Following this we would take a tablespoonful of ALKALIN Petrolagar - THAT taken of mornings, see?

15. After the system has been cleansed, or after the six days, begin with the DEEPER manipulations in the lumbar and sacral region, that we may remove these stresses and these strains on the system.

16. The diet through the period should be that as more of the laxatives. NOT that the system is to be strained in this direction. No starches. Little sugars. Much of the proteins, yes - these may be given - are WELL - but those of the whole wheat breads, those of the gruels. Fish and fowl may be taken in moderation, but never overloading the stomach, especially through the period when eliminations in an extra degree are being set up.

17. After three to four DAYS of the deeper manipulation - and we would apply HEAT - wet heat - to the lumbar and sacral before corrections are made - preferably those of hot packs, then heat applied to same - THEN the corrections made. Also those in the upper cervical, or to the hypogastric centers - these may be relaxed. Not necessary that too much heat - but that of a dry nature be applied there.

18. Then we would begin with the sinusoidal, the short vibration - not too high, nor of a too long duration - applying the sinusoidal to the 4th lumbar and the 5th dorsal. These should contract the system sufficient to produce the relaxation necessary in the mesenteric and the vegetative nerve system, so that the intercostal nerves of the system will be relieved of their pressure. Ready for questions.

19. (Q) Any ulcers in the stomach? (A) No.

20. (Q) Defective kidneys? (A) Defective in their functioning, as is seen from those conditions as have been explained here in the lumbar region - those about the capsule of the kidneys show inflammation at times. These are reflex, rather than ORGANIC conditions. The soreness as occurs there, the trouble as comes from the

3780-1 Page 5

activity of the kidneys, is an UNBALANCED condition in the hepatic circulation, and is REFLEX. The sedimentary conditions that form there are from an UNBALANCED condition in the metabolism and katabolism of the system; that is, the vibratory forces from subjugated nerve centers, produce the irritation in the organ, and it is FUNCTIONAL - NOT ORGANIC!

21. (Q) Is the lumbar trouble causing all the hip and back pain? (A) The lumbar trouble causing all the hip and back pain, with the effect as is created in that of the mesenteric and vegetative nerve system, gives the bearing down pains and the heaviness across hips. This the trouble or disturbance in the hepatic circulation, as has been outlined.

22. (Q) Please give an outline for the diet for the three meals. (A) Mornings - should be, first - half an hour before the meal is taken - half a lemon, squeezed, without salt. Just before the meal is taken, the other half may be taken WITH salt. Gruel - such as oatmeal, cornflakes - or such - with LITTLE sugar, but MILK (not heavy cream) may be taken with same. Little coffee may be taken at this time, or during the day those of Coca-Cola may be taken, in moderation. Of the noon meal - this may consist of vegetables that are easily digested with the system. These would, necessarily, have to be tested out - for there will be seen at some times one would digest when another will not. These, preferably those of at least one or two green vegetables, with some broths - soups, or any sea food soups, as oysters - but cooked in their OWN soup, NOT with cooked milk. Those of the lobster, or of ANY of the sea foods that may be easily taken. Of evenings - there may be the flesh of fish, or of fowl, or of vegetables that do not carry too much starches. These would be the meals for a day. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n office " " Cayce Hospital " " Mrs. [5654]
