Time of Reading Unknown.

1. EC: Yes, we have him here. We had some trouble here before, there is not much difference in the general condition of the system than there was before [No record of earlier reading]. We have some difference in the circulation and some difference in the action of the nervous system, especially, in the action of the white and gray matter.

2. The condition in this man is in general reflex, that is the disease is in one place and the cause of the trouble is in another.

3. Through the upper part of the body, the head, the facial muscles, the nerves in the neck, trouble along the upper dorsals and lower cervical vertebra is all reflex from the condition that exists through the intestinal canal and especially the lower part of the digestive tract the small intestines and the colon.

4. The pancreas is also involved; we have considerable inflammation of a catarrhal character, with sloughing of the mucous membranes of the intestines, which produced inflammation of a catarrhal character at the entrance of the small intestine into the large intestine and catarrhal inflammation of this region, which extended throughout the large intestine as a result of this catarrhal inflammation in the small and large intestine the poison from the system is not thrown off in the excreta, but is carried back into the system and produces the condition that we have in the kidneys. They are overtaxed as a result of the increased work of throwing off this poison.

5. They in turn have been inflamed and have not performed their function properly in consequence of the increased work which they were called on to do in excreting the poison that nature in a normal condition should have passed off through the intestines.

6. The coagulative condition that was produced here in this side produces a gathering of the forces of the white blood corpuscles in the system but since this was cut out they are resting at present. This did not entirely remove the trouble. The trouble was not in the appendix, you see entirely, but in the intestine, above and below where the operation was performed.

7. We have then following these conditions the capillary circulation is affected to a greater or lesser extent. In order, to create resistance through the circulation sufficient reaction to keep it from the hepatic circulation as nature in this condition is trying to equalize the circulation, consequently this condition.

8. The sympathetic nervous system in its attempt to take care of the body and bring about the reaction, brings about these reflex pains, aches, etc. We have the same resistance, also, in the lower part of the lung, in the chest, which produces the condition in the face - reflex from the cervical. The eyes at times are dimmed, we have a glimmering and other reflex conditions, also, reflexly from the same conditions as before, resulting from non excretion or lack of excretion, produce trouble or over stimulation to the special senses.

9. In treating this case first remove the trouble from the intestinal tract so that digestion will reproduce the proper amount of nutriment and force to throw off the poisons from the system. The reflexes conditions will come in but will gradually be taken care of as the cause is removed.

10. A condition of a malarial character is manifested here in the liver. We have a little malaria in the system, this must be taken out of the system.

11. Very easy treatment and something that is stimulating and something to aid in the action of the organs to discharge this poison to help nature; we, also, need something to act on the kidneys as they are overworked. The kidneys, consequently, require stimulation.

12. The intestinal tract deserves particular attention. The fibrous tissue and muscular, of which the intestine is composed, lined with the mucous lining, covered on the outside by a tougher fibre, which incloses the nerves of the intestine, will allow of a great deal of inflammation, but nature rebels.

13. If we allow the contents of the intestines to gather and allow it to lay there for a period of time in the intestines the mucous lining becomes involved, becomes inflamed and in turn it tends to destroy and produce inflammation of the fibrous tissue or muscle in the intestines, in consequence, we get the reflex conditions we have spoken of before, also, reflex conditions in the pancreas and the liver as a result of sluggishness in the bowel tract.

14. We must get the kidneys to act by small doses of Oil of Juniper to stimulate its action. We will then get the relax condition of the muscles and the nerves in the upper lumbar region will not be taxed as they are at present. Allow the

whole system to rest. The muscles and nerves have been wrought up so long that they are now tight, they draw themselves together tight, relax them, especially, at the second lumbar by manipulation, stimulate the nerve centers, which will relax these conditions until the blood flows freely to the points of distribution of the sympathetics from the motor areas.

15. Take, also, internally, to remove this trouble Peruvian Bark and Alcohol, just enough to tone up the tissues and cause a reaction or a tonic effect. Do not excite too strongly or magnify the condition within the intestines themselves. Too much will produce inflammation, too little won't produce anything. Use judgement and use just enough so that we will have force sufficient to remove this condition that exists in the blood current. When these conditions are removed this condition that exists in the eye, the face, the shoulders, the rush of blood to the head will all be removed, nature exerts itself in the right way and the whole system is rebuilt.

16. Make his diet light and use discretion regarding meats (no meats) nothing heavy, give him cereals and fruit, plenty of fruit, nothing hard to digest, nothing that takes up too much of the digestive juices of the stomach; try pepsin to aid the digestive juices in the stomach and also, in the duodenum. If we bring meats or vegetables into the stomach in excess we disturb the normal digestive functions and excites the mucous lining of the stomach as it passes into the duodenum, in other words indigestion, in this state it lies there and produces inflammation which affects kidneys, spleen and other organs and causes increased circulation or rush of blood to the head.
