1. GC: You will have before you the treasure located near what was Kelly's Ford, Culpepper Co., Va., the work done in attempting to locate this by A. C. Preston, Dr. Snyder and son, Gray Salter and Hugh Lynn Cayce; in connection with this you will have the enquiring mind of Edgar Cayce present in this room and the problems which confront this entity in regard to this and other propositions at this time. You will please answer the questions which we will ask you.
2. EC: Yes, we have the treasure as located in Culpepper County, Virginia, near what was Kelly's Ford, the operations as have been done there, circumstances and conditions as surround same. Also the enquiring mind Edgar Cayce, problems, circumstances and conditions as surround the body. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) As directed, a location was made with indicator on Monday, April 27, 1931, in the bottom of the excavation on the south side of the abutment by A. C. Preston and Gray Salter. Is this location as outlined by the indicator the cache of the treasure? (A) This, as we find, the indication of the cache of the treasure. We would, then, sink a shaft, or dig in from the West side sufficiently deep - which would require two to two and half feet to be to the bottom of the cache - opened sufficiently so that most, or practically all of same may be reclaimed. Also we would, after following this, follow out ALL those indications in the present operations toward the South and East - see? This, as we will find, will be of a different nature - but worth investigating.
4. (Q) How deep is this from the bottom of the excavation? (A) Sink a shaft to two and a half to three feet, and then clean out - see? Do this sufficiently far from the outline as NOT to dig into same from above.
5. (Q) Any suggestion as to the best time this should be done? (A) Whenever ready, begin.
6. (Q) What would be the best way to handle the putting of this treasure into present day currency to avoid any
3812-10 Page 2
unnecessary trouble? (A) It will not be necessary to change, for many of these will be valuable in more ways than just in the present day currency. Then select or change same in such a way and manner, through the regular channels, that same may be used in present day currency. As for the gold and for the silver - the gold will be good at any period or any place, the silver - some of the silver is what will be - See, there's some of these that will be VERY valuable, if taken one or two at a time, but not so much if put all at once!
7. (Q) Would it be advisable for Edgar Cayce to go to N.Y. with Brown, Kaufman and Pyre to meet Mr. Matchit and hold the N.Y. meeting on the organization of the work, or go to Kelly's Ford and aid in the locating of the treasure, taking into consideration here the best interest for the development and expansion of the work through these forces? (A) This should be given careful consideration from each angle, but to confine same to an individual group because there had been the locating of immediate needs or funds would be to enhance or to HINDER the operations in a greater expansion, see? Then, taking all into consideration, the representatives should be - but the body should proceed with the expansion in such a way and manner as to bring the greater number of individuals into a group to form an association that would function so that MANY conditions MIGHT be clarified.
8. (Q) Is the plan involving Ady, Kaufman and Kahn working with Edgar Cayce in N.Y. on the new organization correctly set up, and are there any suggestions which would assist in carrying this forward to a successful conclusion? (A) The IDEAS as set up - we see no plans, or definite outline; for there are IDEAS and there are ideals. As to the plan of having the cooperation of the three in the meeting of, forming of, classifying and signifying the advantages of the purposes, aims, of such a group or an association, is well. This would be well to be considered, first as having harmony between the three as to how and in what manner the various groups are to be met - for there will be at least two or three different groups to be considered. Then, when the consideration has been given by the groups of ideals and purposes, then there may be REPRESENTATIVES of same for a general discussion or signifying of individuals and groups as to the meeting for the crystallization and formation, and taking into the plans as HAVE been outlined in full cooperation and full consideration in forming what would be a group. This, to be sure, is an IDEAL manner - yet, as is to be considered,

there have been others that have also signified their idea of holding an individual group responsible for certain portions of carrying on developments in certain lines. These considerations are NOT to be ignored. They are to have their proper and due consideration, yet there MUST be a head.
9. (Q) Please suggest the general line of approach to the subject of "Psychic Phenomena" which should be made by Edgar Cayce in his talk before the Norfolk meeting tonight. (A) That should be made as the spirit or the form gives itself expression in the actual activity of the hour, for if the individual has so lived, so conducted self in the way, the promise remains "In the selfsame hour will it be given thee what shall be said."
