1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. Now, we find there are those specific conditions that cause distress in the physical functioning of the body. While there are times the body feels fairly well, yet there are few times that this really occurs. The body feels a little better, but never very well.
4. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, [3841], we are speaking of. First:
5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this very good most of the time in its circulation, yet in its elements and constituents often times there is shown in same the effects of that as causes the greater distress in the body, in that there are carried in the system that which produces soundings, as it were, to the nerve centers, by the pressure on same. An abnormal circulation, then.
6. In the nerve centers, we find that the nerve system is responsible in a manner for the distresses, while the physical condition as produces same remains as a separate condition, but those pressures as are produced by the hindrances in the system cause the pressure on the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus, in the right portion of the intestinal system, near that of the glands as produce the separation of rebuilding materials made into blood, and that as becomes drosses in the system. Then we have a cold hepatic circulation. We also have nerve indigestion produced by these conditions. We also have a torpid liver at times, tendency towards constipation, and at other times apparently too much activity of the intestinal tract. Headaches are produced from these conditions. The plexus also in the 8th and 9th dorsal shows as the seat or cause of the trouble, for three and a half (3 1/2) - four (4) years ago, we find the entity received a wrench in the back,

through lifting - had something to do with a wagon. Here we have formed a lesion. This lesion has brought about an adhesion in and about the appendix, and this producing a pressure on the ascending colon brings about the distresses and pains, reflexly, through the various portions of the system. See? Hence this sick, dull headache - pains at the back of the head and on top of the head. All of these coming from the reflex conditions as are produced in the system, and pressures as are produced in the various portions of the system. The strain on the body is caused by this specific condition.
7. The functioning of the organs are all involved, more or less, according to the cycle of functioning of same, but with the high nerve tension as produced by this existing condition, with the disturbance as is caused in the digestive system, and in elimination and assimilation in the system - all show the effect of the conditions as are produced. Not that of appendicitis in its virulent form, yet that is the condition as PRODUCES this condition in the system, for inflammation, as yet, has not set up in the system.
8. Now, this may be overcome in two ways and manners:
9. By the operation, which would remove the trouble, or by that of the manipulation, which would gradually break up these lesions and gradually break up the adhesion, by the careful diet and by that as will keep the system cleansed, so that the adjustments and the correcting of the incentive of nerve plexus and of the functioning of organs may absorb or correct, or break up this condition, see?
10. We would, then, give either the operative mode, or that of the osteopathic adjustments - which would necessitate st least thirty-six (36), taken at least twice each week, and the body should rest at least half an hour to an hour after each adjustment. Do not begin by trying to break up the lesions or adhesions at the first, but gradually work the system to that condition and position where these may be corrected properly.
11. Beginning, at the same time that the adjustments are being taken (and do not take one without the other) - should this mode be taken - those properties as would be found in this:
12. Take plain Ragweed six (6) ounces, in half a gallon of distilled water. Reduce by simmering (not boiling) to one-half (1/2) the quantity. Strain, and while warm add three (3) ounces of sugar, first dissolved in two (2) ounces of hot water. Then cut three (3) drams of Balsam of Tolu in four (4) ounces of pure grain alcohol, and add to same.
3841-1 Page 3
13. The dose of this would be two teaspoonsful - begin though first with one, for the first fifteen days - then two teaspoonsful - three times each day, before meals.
14. Do not ever overload the stomach. Do not eat any HOG meat! Others may be taken in moderation - preferably these should be without grease - these may be taken boiled or baked, but not fried. Use the whole wheat flour, rather than that of the white process, and as much GREENS as the body may take of every nature. These are preferable to any with greases, while these conditions are being corrected.
15. Do this, and we will find that by the time the full treatments are taken, and all of the medicinal properties taken, this will be corrected - were this manner used.
16. Or by the operative manner, we would find it would be necessary to prepare the body for such an operation, but the adhesion may be removed through this manner and means.
17. We are through for the present.
