1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of the body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. Now, we find while this body is very good in many respects, there are some conditions that are abnormal to the degree that they cause distresses in the system at times, and these same conditions, without the correction, would lead under certain conditions, if not warned of same, to destructive forces in the physical body. The abnormal conditions have to do with eliminations in the system, especially with the functioning of certain organs in their eliminations. These have to do then with the conditions that are left in the system and find their exercising to distressing conditions that come to various portions of the body.
4. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, Dr. [3881] we are speaking of. First:
5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find very good in many ways, yet that condition shows poisons are being left in the system that tax the rebuilding supply of system, as is given in system by the blood force, and is carried to some extent in the blood supply. This gives then the tired feeling the body feels after attempting normal sleep or rest. The body does not feel that it is sick or ailing, yet there is that distressed feeling that comes with the body being taxed through the conditions of the eliminations. Hence the dullness at such times and the lack of the vim and vitality necessary to keep the body builded to its best abilities. This we find is affected especially through the hepatic circulation, and especially in that of the kidneys does it show it effect. That is, we have from the discharge of the kidneys the show of how these organs in their elimination are overtaxed; this coming however more from the system attempting to produce an equilibrium than from the organ being defective; simply an overtaxed condition on account of
3881-1 Page 2
the state of the hepatic circulation and the effect as is created in this circulation, especially in that of the hypogastric circulation. For the liver, not acting normally in it excretory function, taxes the kidneys; so we have an effect produced in the system from the condition existing in that portion of the body, which is the balance between the two eliminations, or the emunctories in each not balanced in their functioning.
6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this we find is very good in many ways, yet with the taxing in the system of the body in this manner there are centers that come under the strain then of this condition and need the rejuvenation necessary to produce the equilibrium, and the vibration to give the equalization in the elimination and the rejuvenation to tissue and the blood supply to this portion of the body. Kidneys in the opposite effect of the liver.
7. In the centers then that would be stimulated would be those above the 9th dorsal. Those to be relaxed, that their natural contraction may be made normal, those below the 12th dorsal, and the general manipulation of the muscular forces that direct the tissue through the region from 12th to 9th dorsal, osteopathically, not too deep.
8. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good.
9. Sensory organism, there have been in times back in the system those conditions that, had they been corrected and adjusted then, we would not have had the present condition with the organs of the sensory system direct. That is, with the condition that has existed in the cervical and in the upper dorsal region. Were these correctly adjusted, the vision, the inflammation that comes at times to the eyes, the buzzing at times to ear, the fullness in the throat, would not have given troubles as much in times back, in the correction of these by the system adjusting itself to the present condition, as now. We still find the body is in that state of being subject to inflammation or disturbances in these organs, as given, though not direct, save at special times do we have an overtaxing. For the rest of the system in this portion of the body is better equalized and has better coordination, but the blood supply, the tissue, the nerve force as goes with the supply in this portion of the body, still has these impingements to the degree that gives this the incentives, as given.
10. In lungs good.
11. In heart's action near normal, though subnormal at present.
12. Digestion is of the sympathetic condition. Hence the
3881-1 Page 3
body has spasms of over-eating, or desire to over-eat, and at other times no appetite, for the system is in sympathy with that condition as exists in the lower portion of digestion. Or, the liver, not functioning normal, the pancreas and spleen not giving the normal flow or secretions necessary in digestion at all times, forms these conditions in the body. Not of the violent nature, yet that which is produced by the toxins as absorbed through the thinned walls of the small intestine. This produces the lack of firmness in tissue in exterior, or in capillary circulation, for we have the condition of a higher internal than an external circulation, having at times through these, and through this condition, an unequalized circulation, for the tips of fingers, the portions of lower limbs feel the sensation in the extremities especially.
13. In the colon and the lower intestinal tract, these are very good, when the conditions as shown are considered, for the body takes much care of these conditions.
14. The kidneys and the bladder show, as has been given, how that with the examination of this portion of body, and of urine specific, would find these conditions existing, as given, yet that producing same coming from the upper digestive tract in intestines; that is, from intestinal digestion or absorption of poisons by non-eliminating forces working properly in the system.
15. Then to bring the better conditions for this body, as we have given, use the manipulation over the portions of the body as given, stimulating also all of the lower portion, even to the extremities, along sciatic centers and all branches of the lower limbs, with the violet ray forces. Also using violet ray applicator for eyes and for the cervical and upper dorsal region. This is better than heat alone, for this will give the vibration, also using this at least every other day; that is, the violet ray vibration, for ten to fifteen minutes.
16. Do this and we will find we will bring the better conditions for this body.
17. Beware of too much meats for the body. More vegetable matter. Fish and game may be taken but not other meats. Fruits and those conditions in the vegetable formation that carry the better conditions for the intestinal digestion. No ferments for the body. Brown bread better than white. Not too much sugars.
18. Do this, [3881].
19. We are through.
