1. LBC: You have before you Mrs. [3893], ... She is before you now. Go over her carefully, examine her thoroughly, and tell us what is the matter with her, if anything.

2. EC: Now, we begin along here from the head, coming down the spine of the body of Mrs. [3893]. We find first, at the 4th, 5th and 6th dorsals, formation of floating lesions formed by the inactivity of the muscular force supplied, or lying inter-lateral to the nerve supplies to these, forming a hindrance to the supply, or nerves, to the stomach, in themselves proper; or in the supply of the blood and nerve supplies to the first digestive organ, or the first receptacle of the particles to be digested, taken into the system. Then, its return force or reflex action from these same juices, that are supplied by this nerve force supplying this, there is the coming in contact with the nerve, muscular and blood supply to the facial muscles, or those coming in contact with the muscular forces in the jaw, under the throat, supplying the saliva, or the first coating for food taken into the stomach. We find that depleted, or lack of amount or quality or quantity of saliva in the mouth, both from the same causes. The body is racked of itself, the organs of the body; that is, the physical body is worn by years. The strength and vitality of the body, or resistive forces in the system, are depleted. Hence the conditions have exerted themselves more here than they would have at times back, in this body. But it has been of a gradual growth until we form these.

3. Then, you see, in turn with that same condition we have had in the body, we have a depleted condition of the nerve supply to the branch end, or the lower ganglia here, to the solar plexus nerve, at the second lumbar, where the ganglia there force into the branch or tail, supplying nerves and forces, to the lower extremities, producing a heaviness, bearing down or tiredness to the whole lower limbs, the whole lower extremities. Not all the time. As we have acute pains or attacks of the condition we have of the stomach, then there is produced the same effect to these forces here afterwards. An after effect of the condition existing through the stomach.

4. The digestion itself, proper, is very good. Only the supplies to these forces produce an overtaxed condition of the cardiac end of the stomach.

5. The forces then onto these conditions, or these conditions existing in them, show themselves most perceptibly through the circulation; that is, the heart action itself. Not organic of the heart in itself, but through the action of the blood thrown quickly to the capillaries. The oldness or the worn or lax condition of the lymphatics and their appendages, or the circulation taken up by the lymph (the circulation emunctories given out to each organ in the system supplied by these) fills full. Hence the heart pumps fast, to get enough blood in it to fill it. Not organic, but lack of quality and quantity of the life fluid or blood itself.

6. Hence it would be termed, as we say, from appearance or condition of the body - we would say it was worn or lax in its whole system; while the seat of the trouble formed here as we will find by tracing of the spine from the 4th to the 6th dorsal. Tender at the first and second lumbar. Tiredness through the neck, head; sometimes tends to want to sleep. That is from over-stimulation to the sympathetic nerve system in the body, and lack of inter-lateral connection between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic nerve systems of the body. The sympathetic nervous system is controlled by most of emunctories of the lymphatic circulation. Becomes tired, worn, full, relaxed, the whole condition. The over-stimulation to the cerebrospinal produces the condition we have through the lymphatics, through an over-stimulation or action on the sympathetic nervous system in the body.

7. (Q) What treatment would you prescribe to relieve these conditions? (A) Electrical forces along the spine, of a vibrating nature. Not plain electrical current, but of a vibrating nature, from the last cervical to the second and third lumbar, along the whole course of the spine. And relieve the overtaxed condition we have through the pelvis; or the discharges from the kidneys, or the secretions of the kidneys. Then, into the stomach have that of a vegetable matter which produces rejuvenation of the blood to form more of both the white and red corpuscles in the body. Not that which would relax, or confine to the muscular or cartilaginous forces in the system, or in the bone, to discharge too much of the white corpuscles here. To eliminate, have properties into the system which we would find in the yogurt, a patent vegetable compound made at Battle Creek.

8. (Q) Any other treatment you would prescribe? (A) That will be plenty. That eliminates from the system all these qualities or quantities of excess matter - matter thrown to the lymphatics here from unused forces in the circulation. We carry them through the dross, through its proper channel, through the respiratory system.

Plenty of fresh air at all times to the body. Not enough of a draught, cold, to produce congestion. When we have this stimulation to the blood force, it will make it easy to take cold through the respiratory system. But it will fill out full, all the chambers of the lungs, so the blood will take it in fully and freely. The action of it on this system will be good. It might not on others.
