Time of Reading 3:00 P. M.
1. FEM: Now, Mr. Cayce, you are going to sleep. (Pause) Now, Mr. Cayce, you are asleep, and all of the organs of your body will function properly, and you will hear me and answer all of my questions. You have before you this afternoon the body of [3897], who is present in this room. Now, Mr. Cayce, tell me the physical and mental ailments that you find within this body, and if an operation is necessary tell me, and if not tell me what will relieve the conditions within this body which you have before you. [3897] is present in this room.
2. EC: Yes, I find the body of [3897]. Now, the abnormal conditions that we find in this body have to do with the organs themselves, and the functioning of the organs, much produced by the general conditions existing throughout the body, or throughout the system, produced in accordance with the functioning organs. See? FEM: Yes, sir.
3. Much has to do with the nerve forces, and much has to do with the blood supplying forces of those, yet we find a condition within the system that produces it, that with the conditions existing in the general portion of blood supply to this repressed or impinioned nerve centers lend a condition that affect the organs that are affected here, as in the head. See?
4. Now, these are the conditions as we find them in this body, [3897] we are speaking of. The blood supply carries some of the bacilli known as streptococcus, which are taken into the blood supplying forces by conditions as expressed in the nerve forces from being impinioned, which produces in this system a condition if temperature to the hepatic circulation, hence the dull, tired feeling at times the body has in this portion of the body. That is just across the diaphragm here; you see? FEM: Yes, sir.
5. The hemoglobin within the body we find carries well. Yet
3897-1 Page 2
the action of the bacilli is to work destruction toward that of the white supplying forces in the body. The nerve forces show its effect especially through that in the sensory organism more at the third cervical and 4th dorsal, where we find lesions, where the nerves leading to the upper portion of the body are those especially giving off the forces necessary to give the proper vibration or nourishment to the nerves of the ear; these are not carrying the proper distributing forces, the blood supply being cut off in part so that the nutriment is not carried to these organs themselves. See? FEM: Yes, sir.
6. The sensory system becomes super-sensitive. The condition as exists in the head itself is that part of the organ impaired as we find through the action of the circulation through this portion of the body, as in the head here. See? FEM: Yes, sir.
7. The circulation has been so impaired by the nerve nutriment that the walls of the ear drum itself show the lack of proper secretion of this portion to give vibration force to the body necessary to produce the sound in the body, or the vibration to reach the ear drum to give action to the brain, and to give sound to the body. With the mouth open the body hears better than with the mouth closed, for we act on the ear forces through the channel leading to part of the ear drum. See? FEM: Yes, sir.
8. The rest of the organs, as we find them through the system, function fairly well. The nerve forces, of course, are impaired throughout many of the ganglion; only reflexes show as we have them here about the second lumbar ganglion. See? FEM: Yes, sir.
9. This is sympathetic from the condition that exists further up in the body, and not due to the condition as exists through the sensitive forces, yet for the abnormal forces to be corrected, would be to correct the condition that applies to the ear direct. See? FEM: Yes, sir.
10. And to correct the lesions that we would find along this portion of the body as we have given at the 3rd cervical and at the 4th dorsal - See?
3897-1 Page 3
FEM: Yes, sir.
11. This affects the conditions that are producing and affecting the condition within this body here. See? FEM: Yes, sir.
12. To correct this force we would apply to this system a massage or manipulation that would remove this condition. See? FEM: Yes, sir.
13. This would necessarily begin first in the palate, or the roof of the mouth close to the salivary tubes which reach to the ear itself from the inside. Then correct the condition along the spinal column as we have given here, so that we have a direct connection between the vibratory forces to the auditory nerves, and when we have corrected this we will find that we have again established a coordination between the nerves of the sensory organism and those of the sympathetic. As it is we have sympathetic nerve forces throughout the body. See? FEM: Yes, sir.
14. Follow this as we have given here, and we will within six or eight weeks see the effect and the return of forces which will produce vibration in the proper condition in this body. It must first be treated through the mouth. See? FEM: Yes, sir.
15. Manipulation and vibration as produced by osteopathic forces. Do that. FEM: Mr. Cayce.
16. "Mr. Cayce."
17. (Q) Is there any medicine that you would recommend for this body at all? (A) "Is there any medicine that you would recommend for this body at all." Just those forces as we have given them here. See? FEM: Yes, sir. Medicinal properties would work a hindrance to this body. Do not use a chiropractor, but use a gentle massage by osteopathic force. We are through.
18. Now, Mr. Cayce, you will forget all about the reading you have given. You are feeling all right, and all the organs of your body function properly. You are feeling

good. Now wake up in two minutes just feeling fine and all right.
