Time of Reading 3:30 P. M. ..., Wash.
1. LBC: You are now asleep and will be able to tell us what we want to know. You have before you Mr. [3931], ... St., Apartment M, ... Apartments, ..., Wash. [3931], he is before you now, you will see him.
EC: [3931], ..., Wash.
LBC: Yes. Apartment M, ... Apartments.
EC: Apartment M. [3931], ..., Wash.
LBC: Yes, Imperial Apartments. You will see him, he is before you now.
EC: Yes we have him here.
LBC: Alright, now I want you to go over him carefully and examine him thoroughly and tell us what is the matter with him, if anything. Well what do you find?
EC: [3931].
2. (Q) Yes. Well, what trouble do you find with him now? Find any trouble about the eyes. Well tell us what you find. (A) Begin with the whole body here - [3931], ..., Wash.
Have a very poor circulation for the body in itself; that is, we have no unison or regularity of the circulation through the capillaries or through the lymphatics; the circulation and muscular and fibrous forces of the lymphatics; in other words, we find in the body, as it were, a continual strain from overtaxation of stimulating through the nerve supply or digestive organism of the system.
At first the trouble is here from the digestion of the stomach here, produces then a redoubling of the forces in carrying out of throwing off from the intestinal tract this mucous, or lining inside of the intestinal lining of the stomach and intestinal tract, until we made an extra charge of the forces of the liver, through these forces, producing
3931-1 Page 2
then a strain to the nerve supply - both to the arterial circulation and to the veins or to the venous blood thrown back here. The blood is thrown out through the arteries to the whole system, drawn back then through the veins as it passes in and out and straining of the nerve forces has produced a trouble along the spine until it produced into the facial extremities the closeness of the skin; tightness of the head; tightness of the ear drum and ringing of the nose - a catarrhal effect through the head and through the eyes; a stigmatism of the lens or blood in the eyes itself. This is all reflex from the conditions in the rest of the system.
Straining of these forces produce pains through the head, impression to the brain, through the nerve forces or supply; a lack of nutriment to the blood supply taken up and allowing nothing to be carried to the capillaries or lymphatics; this has produced an abuse of the system itself of [3931].
3. (Q) Any other conditions? (A) Now this effect in the eyes is of the forces as we have it from the eye in itself. First, pains through the head, you see, the back part, coming down here just above the first cervical. The eyes is strained, a pinching as it were, right across the nose (nasal bridge), coming in contact with the greater nerve force in the head through the sensory system or organism, both, through the ear and eye and the nostril in itself (sense of smelling) impression of the brain from there; action on the sensory system of the forces by this. As we have the eye from this side it is alright (without pain), turn back (this way, left to right), we have then pains through the forces. The trouble is not so much in the eye but in the forces - in the eyesight, seeing in the body or impression carried.
The forces are produced from the overtaxation from the nerve supply and brought about by non-acting of the blood supply to rebuild the forces through the lymphatics and capillaries, that is, capillary circulation. The circulation to the capillary out of the small extremities (find it most any point) the nerve supply forces the blood to the lyphatics and as these forces rebuild or take up the waste tissue in the matter supplying to this organism, taking up of these produces a nerve strain to the system in itself, until we have brought about a change of the whole sensory system through the head.
Reduce these forces that we have through the whole system

here of [3931]. Reduce the forces, the taking of inflammation through the eye, by application from the outside or rest; plenty of light, but shaded; plenty of open air, but soft to the eye; plenty of green, dark, in the shade until we produce a refractory effect on the system by aiding in the digestion and blood supply until we produce a toning of the forces to the whole system. Stimulation to the blood supply and out door living, live not the strenuous life we have had here. Put him back more to the earth, more outside or open air; less of the nerve strain, more blood and the body will improve by being outside more. Needs not to strain the eyes, simply to digest and well masticate what is taken into the stomach. Needs bandages for it, want something of the tubulous character, something that is fresh - poultice to the eye - night vine or the potatoe vine, cold. If we have an over amount of stimulation to this after we get these forces it will have to be corrected by lens or glasses in front of the eye. Remove the strain of the forces and it will be better.
4. (Q) Any medicine in the stomach? (A) Have to have something to use for the digestion - light something. Stimulation to the blood forces, small quantities of stimulation - something into the system to masticate the food if it is not well masticated; plenty of saliva to the mouth.
We have in this system like this: The digestion being impaired into the system produces a nerve force effect on the whole system until we get on the nerves and the treatment of the digestion through here into the stomach (not at present, but back), corrected, in part, this into the system and allows an excess of juices thrown out into the system to act on these forces themselves; left the nerve force, as it were, impaired until we draw away from the lymphatics and capillaries a quantity and quality of amount of matter thrown out that should be gathered back to nature to supply into these forces themselves, to the exterior; same thing applies to the abrasions he has on the skin and produced from the same effect - lack of blood throwing out through the pulmonary and discharge through the kidneys and, hence, through the respiratory system. He rarely sweats, we have a dry exterior of the skin; he gets hot but does not sweat much, allowing these forces to act back and effect this and produce the condition we have in this system at present.
5. (Q) Any other treatment you would prescribe? (A) Nothing else. Change it if it does not produce the
3931-1 Page 4
effect here. We have an overstimulation to the rest of the system - the effect from the eye themselves and the effect from the nerve system produce then a different condition in the system, but nothing at present.
