Time of Reading 11:15 A. M.
1. GKN: Mr. Cayce, you are going to sleep, in a quiet, peaceful and restful sleep; all of the organs of your body will function normally and perfectly; you will be normal in every way; you will hear me in what I say and answer the questions I shall ask you slowly and distinctly, so that we may get every word. Mr. Cayce, you are asleep and you have before you the body of [3933] who is here in this room; you will see this body and go over it carefully, and tell us what the trouble is, if anything, and what to do for it to make it normal again; you will answer any questions about this body. Talk out loud.
2. EC: Yes, here we have the body here. (A brief pause) Now we find that there are some abnormal conditions about the body that may be corrected. We find there are other conditions that to this body are normal that to other bodies would not be a normal condition existing in the body. The abnormal conditions that we find here in this body of [3933] we are speaking of? - GKN: Yes sir.
3. - have to do with the functioning of organs themselves, and have come to such a state or condition that they produce an organic condition existing in some of the organs, yet not entirely of organic origin, but of a functional origin, until they have produced a state of being in the organs themselves that will have to be combatted with to bring about normal conditions. See? GKN: Yes sir.
4. The conditions, that we find in this body here, are these: First, with the blood supplying force, we find there is a lack of the white blood to sufficiently carry on the rebuilding without exceedingly great destruction to certain fibrous, mucous forces in the red blood cellular force itself, so that we have a drain on the supplying forces from the blood in this body, and an abnormal condition of the blood in quantity rather than quality only of the white
3933-1 Page 2
being of deficient quantity to supply the proper forces. See? GKN: Yes sir.
5. The body or blood forces is not anemic, yet in the functioning in certain organs it becomes anematized from the condition of the organs themselves through this force; then the functioning of the other organs to adjust the condition produces an over-taxed condition in certain portions here of the body, as we will come to later. You see? GKN: Yes sir.
6. In the organs themselves. GKN: Yes sir.
7. As to the nerve forces, the balance of nerve force in the body we find is very good, considering the condition of the body throughout; there is a laxity or a proneness to plethoric conditions existing in certain centers from the over-taxed or over-used energies as supplied to the muscular forces from certain portions of the system. Especially is this found in the lower dorsals, where the feeding of the muscles and nerve and blood supply come to those of the digestive tract, or especially of the upper intestinal tract conditions. You see? GKN: Yes sir.
8. So that in the tract itself the emunctories becoming over-full of mucus to carry the proper conditions, leaves too much to be carried through this, producing larger centers for the nerve forces in these portions, and at times the phials of the body is broken down, unable to control itself, through the action of these conditions in the system, from the nerve forces. You see? GKN: Yes sir.
9. The connection between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal nerve forces here is in the lower dorsals, becomes exaggerated in its expression to the brain power to control all actions, and some of the actions, that is, of the forcing power of the nerve centers through the intestinal tract becomes involuntary, when the nature of a normal condition would be of a voluntary notion or action. You see? GKN: Yes sir.
10. The sensory organism in the nerve force in this body is normal for the condition existing in the system, yet to other bodies would not be a normal condition. In the
3933-1 Page 3
condition of the body the sense of hearing is above the normal, while we have that as of feed given out to the centers as applied to the brain forces and action to the eye has become reversed at times, that is, changed about from time to time from the condition that exists in the nerves. Again, as that is applied to speech or touch, this becomes variegated, as it were; at times the body feels inclined - certain portions of the body feel as if there is no touch; again, it is exaggerated and if portions were above the normal conditions. You see? GKN: Yes sir.
11. As to the questions and the function of this, as we have where the condition existing has produced abnormal conditions, we find this that is here: through the lungs or the first centers from which all vibration is carried and given into the body, the clarification of blood, the taking on of life forces to rebuild all unit of supplying force in the system, this is very good; the action as given from this between the centers supplying every nutriment to all brain action and nerve forces, or to the cerebellum itself, is correct. That as to the center to the solar plexus and its supplying forces through these ganglionars do we find the exaggerated and plethoric condition coming to both nerve forces and return energy force through the circulation in the hepatics and to the rest of the trunk portion of the body, so that at times the action to the lower gangliolars [ganglia?] becomes tired, worn-out, give-up. See? GKN: Yes sir.
12. An expression as these centers give back to the body, or as what is the use of combatting with it. You see? GKN: Yes sir.
13. You see the condition exists, through the digestive tract, through the stomach, through the digestion, we find here where the condition exists that causes or produces the trouble, even the system itself. You see? GKN: Yes sir.
14. It began time back; it is better now than it has been. You see? GKN: Yes sir.
15. It is not as good as it was once before this. GKN: Yes sir.
3933-1 Page 4
16. The diet as taken into the system as at the present time reacts to the lower portion of the stomach, becomes a nausea to it at times, at the present time too much of any one diet as to this produces and brings to this system without the proper adjustment or relaxation of certain centers, both of muscular and nerve forces, to carry the proper nutrition or carry the proper vibration from blood forces as acquired by intake of the carbon in the system, leaves off or prevents the proper adjustment of all of the forces as it can to use and needed to rebuild. There is too much of the mucus of the intestinal tract passes through the system, so that the body suffers by the intake of foods that will not digest in the system or that will not produce an astringent condition when passed into the upper portion of the body, so that the laxity when it passes to the colon, or in its action on the system, produces or is unable to act in its proper form and manner. Both the action of the muscular forces and of the functioning of these need to be vibrated, through the proper channels and forces and vibrations, to produce the normal conditions again in this body. These can be adjusted by taking into the system that which would produce proper astringement to the portions of the body and give the strength to those portions of the body of the adjustment with the centers along the lumbar and lower dorsals are kept at the same time. It doesn't necessarily mean that you have treatment at all times, but the medicinal properties shall be had consistent with the needs and conditions as exist in the system. GKN: Yes sir.
17. The relaxation would only be to the upper portion of the body, that is, from the lower cervicals to the fifth and sixth dorsals, the congestion of muscular conditions from the seventh dorsal to the second lumbar should be. See? GKN: Yes sir.
18. By the manipulation. Then there should be taken into the system, is this: a preparation that is made from this will act as an astringent to the system and will be that which will cause proper adjustment through the system here. We take - (pausing) - four ounces of alum root. This is put into one quart of distilled water, reduced by simmering, - not boiling - [GKN: Yes sir] - to one pint. To this is added one dram of alcohol grain - [GKN: Yes] - while it is yet warm. This is as a preservative and will make food for the system. See?
3933-1 Page 5
GKN: Yes sir.
19. And there is added to this while still warm, you see? - [GKN: Yes] - two drams of Indian turnip; and this is allowed to cool, and strain. The dose would be a teaspoonful every four hours for the first three days. See? GKN: Yes sir.
20. Then the evening and morning will be sufficient for some four weeks; with the manipulation as given to the system every third or fifth day, we will find the condition will be adjusted within itself. It would be well if the body would keep small portions of the alum root, that would chew on it or dissolve in its mouth, just without anything else in itself. You see? GKN: Yes sir.
21. We will adjust this condition in this body here. The diet then can be gradually changed to those that will be needed to rebuild the system properly. This is a condition to combat or meet in the body.
22. (Q) How frequently should the osteopathic treatment be given, Mr. Cayce? (A) How frequently should the osteopathic treatment be given, Mr. Cayce? I have just told you. Do it that way.
23. (Q) What shall the diet for this body consist of, Mr. Cayce, please? (A) What shall the diet for this body consist of, Mr. Cayce, please? At present, you see, as we have the diet which is inaction to the system itself. You see? GKN: Yes sir. Very little, if anything, is being taken into the system. Then we will begin with just the things the system calls for. No meats, though, should ever be taken into the system again until the body is very much better or well from this condition. GKN: Yes sir. Vegetable diet or such as we will find first would be well to begin with, as those we find in vogue. You see? GKN: Yes sir. The intestinal antiseptic and yet a food for the whole system. Again we will begin with those that carry small quantities of nut fat. You see?
3933-1 Page 6
GKN: Yes sir. No meats. GKN: Yes sir. And then we begin with the vegetable; the rougher the food the better it will be for this body until adjustments are made throughout the system.
24. (Q) Should this body continue drinking boiled sweet milk, Mr. Cayce? (A) Should this body continue drinking boiled sweet milk, Mr. Cayce? When we have taken these properties as given here, into the system, you see? GKN: Yes sir. With the boiled sweet milk we will find the reverse from the condition it is in, so that it will gradually find them to be changed from these; you see? GKN: Yes sir. Not too suddenly from either one of them; you see?
25. (Q) Yes sir. How long will it take to bring this body back to its normal condition, please, Mr. Cayce? (A) How long will it take to bring this body back to its normal condition, please, Mr. Cayce? I have given an outline of the thing here, particularly as to the system; but with the body as it passes on, it is with the body and how consistent the medicinal properties are taken as to how long it will take.
26. (Q) Yes sir. Should this body exercise frequently, Mr. Cayce, and if so, in any particular way? (A) Should this body exercise frequently, Mr. Cayce, and if so, in any particular way? No, the body needs more rest than it does exercise. GKN: Yes sir. To keep off its feet as much as possible while taking this until we begin to make the adjustments in the system. GKN: Yes sir. Just enough exercise to a system to let the body be controlled by its mind and in adjustment with this mind or
3933-1 Page 7
the others, but do not be indiscreet with anything that it does. GKN: Yes sir.
27. We are through.
28. Now, Mr. Cayce, you will dismiss this body; you will not see it any more for the present. You are resting quietly and peacefully; all of the organs of your body will function normally and perfectly; you will be normal in every way. You will awake now in two minutes, feeling good and all right and thoroughly rested in every way. You will forget what you have said, feeling good and all right and thoroughly rested in every way. Now, wake up, as I have said, in two minutes, Mr. Cayce.
