c/o Dr. D. W. McFarland's Time of Reading Sanitarium, at 11:15 to 11:55 A. M. Greens Farms, Connecticut. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have those conditions that affect and surround this body, [3950] at D. W. McFarland's Sanitarium.

2. As we find, if the general physical conditions were viewed or approached rather from the psychopathic, and from the mental and spiritual conditions in the body, they would not only be of more interest but approaching them from this angle we would find there may be much more to be gained as to the better response for betterment of conditions physical and mental for the body.

3. The effect of these conditions may be rather termed incoordination in the activities of the imaginative forces of the body, and the normal-natural physical functionings of the body from the material standpoint. While the statement incoordination may cover a great deal of territory and not be very definite, yet this is the condition that exists.

4. Then, we find there are the more specific conditions that are indicated from the general reactions in the system, that deal more directly with the effects created in the physical functioning of the body, when those conditions that are of the spasmodic nature do react in the system.

5. The basis or the cause, then, as we find, is not so much that which may be termed in its better sense as prenatal, yet this would be rather the conditions that existed with those responsible for the advent of the body-physical in the world during the period when conception and gestation took place, and the prenatal conditions in this sense. It is true conditions that arose as the body-physical developed have had, and do have in the present much to do with the general physical outlook, but the causes that produced these, the causes that are as yet the contributory influences to the general physical reactions, have their basis in this condition; hence those conditions that make for the greater association of the glands, that make for the

3950-1 Page 2

balancing of impulses that arise to the distributing centers or to those impulses in the brain forces themselves from which and in which the coordination is necessary for the reactions that are of the voluntary nature, ARE the centers, the basis, or the disturbing conditions that are the production from the first causes; hence the psychic forces, or the psychopathic influences, are the basis for the disturbances in the activities of this body, [3950].

6. Then, these make for the impulse from those centers in the system that function with the organs of gestation to the lyden, and their pressure and activity to the forces, to the brain centers through or along the pineal center that has remained or is engorged throughout its course along the cerebrospinal centers themselves, to and through the medulla oblongata to those upper or central portions of the brain. This is not a true case of softening nor yet drying of the brain's circulation, but the impulses that are received to same are so distorted by that impoverishing of a portion of conditions in the system and the over-abundance of attempt to apply or supply other forces that react to same prevent a normal reaction to the system. It is true that when there are those applications that call for the reactions to impulses, to be acted upon by the sensory activities of the nerve system rather than those coming from the conditions of incoordination as to the proper valuations of activities to the body, melancholia or the opposite reactions are apparent; yet docility is not one that may be termed the proper or the ordinary reaction from such periods. Then there are periods when from such conditions there comes rather the recurrent reaction for the normalcy, followed by periods when the general conditions show physically - PURELY physically - real reactions in virility of strength. These in their incipiency produced rather a high nervous state or tension throughout the body. As there were those changes or developments (that occur or recur through a system as the various portions develop for their functioning), these naturally changed for periods of betterment; and then the relaxation into periods when the suffering of organs by their inactivity, or the attempt to keep them subdued by giving into the system properties which prevented their functioning in a normal way, brought DIS-EASE, rather than diseased functionings in the system.

7. As we would find, then, these conditions for this body of [3950] may be MATERIALLY aided. This will require, to be sure, the same type of replenishing or rebuilding that will be the closer to the fundamentals of changing vibrations in the system, so that the responses of the various glands in

3950-1 Page 3

the body will be to create the proper elements for the carrying on or the functioning of the system in such a manner as to create a balance, both for those elements that would supply the replenishing and rebuilding of tissue in its essence; also structural portions in their essence, brain and nerve tissue in its essence, and the activities to the blood supply, with the organs that function for the resuscitation through the system in their well-BALANCED order; thus supplying to the system that which will bring a more normal balance throughout the physical body that is so disturbed, not by physical conditions so much as the mental, and the attempt of the mental with the physical functioning, disturbances and reactions, to find ready response in what is termed collaboration of coordinated forces in a physical body with the mental and spiritual body of the same.

8. These activities, then, must act upon the assimilating and eliminating systems.

9. First, in ministering to the body for the bringing about of these corrections, it would become necessary that all the drosses that are excessive in the system be as near as possible eliminated from the physical functioning body; BUT this may not be done all at once, else the response or the great strain that would be brought upon the body through such severe applications would be overpowering and bring greater destructive forces than are apparent in the present; rather there should be the stimulating through such stimuli that gradually changes those vibrations in the system, during the same period strengthening those centers for the coordination of the cerebrospinal and sympathetic systems to be brought to bear on the body, increasing the eliminations as to general drosses; not merely in the alimentary canal, not merely in the functionings of eliminations through those portions in the hepatic circulation that make for a greater activity of the kidneys and liver in their functioning; not merely in the respiratory system, when the emunctories and the lymph circulation show the clogging for the general conditions in the external circulation, or that we know as or call the return circulation to the heart or the activities in the capillaries; but from all portions of the system where great amount of drosses show in the whole general system.

10. The stimuli that we would add for the body, then, would be the low form of electrical vibrations.

11. As we may see in a functioning physical organism, electricity in its incipiency or lowest form is the nearest vibration in a physical sense to Life itself; for it is the nucleus about each atom of active force or principle set by

3950-1 Page 4

the atomic activity of blood pulsation itself, that begins from the very union of the plasm that creates life itself in a physical organism. These are continued throughout the activity of a physical body, known and called plasms of cellular forces in the blood stream itself, building in the various organisms of the system through the activity of the glands or the little engines of activity that create for the system that necessary plasm which has gone to make for not only the functioning of the liver but that which would replace the liver itself; that which would not only make for the functioning of the kidney but that which would make for the plasm that would rebuild the kidney itself; not only that which supplies the pulsation and activity of the heart but that which will also aid to the system that which will rebuild, replenishing the walls of the heart itself; not only that which adds to the system and makes for the pulsation or flow of plasm through the nerve energy, but rebuilds the walls of the cells that HOLD the plasm that FUNCTIONS in its activity as nerve impulses through the system, whether to a ganglia that may be situated in any portion of the cerebrospinal system or in any plexus or flexus of a muscular force throughout the system, whether in extremities or the central or trunk portion of body, but that which will make also for such plasms that function in the brain matter itself, GIVING to the system the impulse FROM that stimuli that may be received from within and pulsation that may be started from without, which WE know as a reaction to the functionings of, the system's response to, vibration without and within; enabling the BRAIN to see, the BRAIN to hear, the BRAIN to feel! and yet, from what source does this arise?

12. What, then, is the cause, or the condition? A sickening, a deterioration of the impulses within the body to supply these very conditions that make for coordinations in their activity; PHYSICALLY functions, MENTALLY functions at periods, but coordination from the proper stimuli is lacking.

13. Add such to the system, then, in the low form of electrical vibration that may be had from the preparation of the wet cell appliance; not in the first carrying any elements in the system that would make for the creating of greater drosses in the system, but so stimulated by the activity of this low vibration passing through the system as to break down such a great amount of pure carnal physical forces, allowing the electrical life fluids themselves to be increased in their various forms through the activity of the system itself.

3950-1 Page 5

14. These connections may be made by (that termed ordinarily) short-circuiting the vibrations through the solar plexus center itself; varying them, however, by changing from those plexus centers that govern the locomotion through the lower portion (and that affect the organs of the pelvis from its center in the 4th lumbar plexus) to the organs of the digestive system themselves (in the second application), or through the liver, lungs, heart's action, the digestive system, the spleen, the pancreas and those functionings in the same, or at the 9th dorsal vertebra plexus. Change next to the centers from which all portions of the system receive their impulses to the brain center itself, or to the 2nd cervical plexus that carries impulses not only to the central portion of the system (through the activity of the coordinating there of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system as it enters the brain itself) but to all the functionings of the organs that supply to the sensory system, through the throat, bronchi, upper portion of the lungs, face, head and neck.

15. In these changes, to be sure, the larger plate would be the last to be attached from such a battery; this coming from the nickel pole, (while the copper pole would carry the smaller and be attached at each treatment - which should be given every day, beginning with a five to ten minutes treatment, gradually increasing as the circle is made), five minutes first in the lumbar, five minutes in the dorsal, five minutes the next day (that is, each one each day) in the cervical area. The next day increase to seven minutes, or add two minutes each day when the circle is made; seven minutes in the lumbar now, see, etc., but the other anode, or from the copper, at the center opposite the plexus of the umbilicii, or over the lacteal centers where the effect to the hepatic circulation is changed; short-circuiting the circulation from these various centers, as it were, so that the system may gradually be increased.

16. The drosses being eliminated through the respiratory system would require at times baths carrying great quantities of salts, or at other times quantities of witchhazel steams or baths.

17. At other times the alimentary canal would be cleansed thoroughly, so that the drosses would be carried out.

18. At other times there would be given a stimuli to increase the eliminations through the alimentary canal, that would cleanse the kidneys and their functioning.

19. After such treatments have been carried to where the system is cleansed, or cleared (which would require from three to four months, when we increase the quantity or

3950-1 Page 6

amount of application of the low electrical vibration to as much as thirty minutes), rest for three to five days. Then begin again with the very low and very short period, carrying out these same things.

20. When this has been done, or as conditions progress, we would give those necessary conditions for increasing the eliminations, and we will bring the alleviation of those distressed conditions, bringing for the body - by the second or third year - a near normal reaction, physically and mentally; ridding all of these distresses that are secondary from reaching the basis of the reaction.

21. Ready for questions.

22. (Q) Will it be possible to have these suggestions carried out at this sanitarium? (A) As we find, it would be better to put the body under the supervision of, or in close association with, those who are more in sympathy with the reaching of such information through these channels.

23. We are through for the present. Copy to father " " File " " David Levy, Nov. 26, 1932
