In small, private Time of Reading laboratory, at Set bet. 3:30 to 4:30 P. M. ... University, Taken 3:50 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern War Time. Detroit, Mich.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4031].
3. In considering the disturbances here, these in a manner might be considered minor and in others they might easily become quite aggravated. Taking any unusual step in the change of chemical processes in the body may cause the condition to become quite upsetting. For, if there is only left off salt from the diet and the use of those properties that will produce quantities of calcium in the body, and then the relaxing of the body osteopathically, until there is a perfect alignment throughout the whole cerebrospinal system, especially in the lower cervicals (that is, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and in the upper dorsals and in the lumbar areas), we should find better conditions for this body - with the keeping of a regular balance, not going to extremes.
4. To be sure, with the chemical forces necessary and those tendencies for the lack of proper segmentations throughout the spinal system, or that tendency for the cartilaginous forces to be pressing upon those above or below, in portions of the areas particularly indicated, we would find response if one meal each day would consist principally of raw vegetables. These should include carrots, lettuce, celery, chard, mustard greens, water cress, tomatoes, onions and the like.
5. These will gradually and very specifically correct those disturbances that have been and are at times quite aggravating to the body.

7. The corrections osteopathically should in the beginning be rather of the relaxing nature, taking the time to relax before there is the attempt to make specific adjustments; else we may cause irritations that would set up inflammation, (until chemical forces are brought about by the changes in the diet) and the producing of a greater quantity of calcium deposits. Increase the eliminations by the use of vegetables and fruits, until there are at least two good evacuations through the alimentary canal each day.
8. Unless there are other disorders, these should be corrected by the changes wrought there, by the change in the diet. Instead of using laxatives of the vegetable or mineral nature, cleanse the colon with enemas; using especially mineral oils with agar or Petrolagar (alkaline) stirred in the water that is used for the colonics.
9. In the diet use only kelp salt or deep sea salt, or the health salt, rather than plain calcium chloride that is mined internally in portions of the country.
10. Have plenty of sea foods, fowl and occasionally lamb. These should be the only characters of meats. Do not change wholly to the vegetable diet, for this would be too weakening for the body conditions.
11. Ready for questions.
12. (Q) Is all the hydrogen sulfide damage out of my system by now? (A) Refractions might be expected, but the massages and the increasing of the eliminations through alimentary canal should soon purify system and allow for normal reactions.
13. (Q) Any specific foods to avoid? (A) No fried foods, not too much starches. Rarely ever white bread, rarely ever mix starches with carbohydrates.
14. (Q) How can I regain healthy and efficient eyesight? (A) Do use consistently morning and evening the head and neck exercises. Do this besides the adjustments through the areas indicated. This will correct and give better eyesight for the body and better reflexes. The head and neck exercises should be very specific, very consistent. Don't commence and then forget it. Do it morning and evening. Standing or sitting erect, bend the head forward three times, backward three times, to left side three times, to the right side three times. Just bend the neck, you see; then circle the head, clockwise, first in one direction, then in the other. Do these three times for each one. Be very quiet, very easy with this. Preferably take this exercise just before retiring and upon arising, before the clothing is put on of morning and after it is taken off in the evening.

15. (Q) Will I eventually be able to do without glasses? (A) You should be able to.
16. (Q) I have poor coordination - which bothers me most - astigmatism or nearsightedness? (A) These, as indicated, should be corrected.
17. (Q) Can I be physically able to join the "WAVES" in June? (A) Thee can be physically able if it will begin at once.
