1. GC: You will have before you [4082] nee [4082], born June 2, 1892, Adrian Township, near Tomah, Wisconsin, who seeks a mental and spiritual reading with information, advice and guidance as to her mental and spiritual welfare. You will answer the questions she submits as I ask them:
2. EC: This information we give with the desire for making this experience more in keeping with the purpose for which the entity entered this material sojourn.
3. In giving an interpretation for this entity of the mental and spiritual attributes, it is well for the moment to view those purposes for which the entity entered this present sojourn and the urges that arise not only from those activities in this purely material experience in the present, but from the activities of the soul-entity, the soul as an entity, through other experiences in the earth.
4. For as is the hope, the expectancy of the entity, it will be a conscious entity through eternity. Then it has been a conscious entity from the beginning, but not aware of those experiences save as the entity may attune its spiritual abilities and spiritual activities to the infinite. For the entity finds itself a body, a mind and a soul, or a body-mind adapted to the environs of a physical experience in the material earth with urges latent and manifested, and these urges magnified or minimized according to the activities of the entity in relationships to such urges.
5. But there is no urge from an experience in the earth, or factors or activities in this material experience, surpassing the will of the entity. For that will is the birthright of an entity, making of that entity an individual or its expressed individuality.
6. The individuality is the sum total of what the entity has done about those things that are creative or ideal in its varied experiences in the earth. Just as what the entity
4082-1 Page 2
may do with its abilities in the present experience will depend upon what the entity does about that which it chooses as its ideal in this present experience, and what it does about such an ideal in dealing with the problems that concern things, conditions, and individuals. For each phase of the entity, as the physical body, has attributes. The mind has physical and spiritual attributes that may be as one. For the mind is as the Way, the way in which one uses, the way in which one approaches affinity or purely materiality according to that the entity does about or uses as its pattern for its ideal.
7. The entity has its ideals physically, it has its ideals mentally, it has its ideals spiritually. Are those ideals creative? Are they of the divine? These may be best answered within the entity itself. For what it does about those ideals, and how sincere it is in such activity, governs what the future will be. As the entity experiences (as do others), there have been through the sojourns in the earth those tendencies constantly deep within self to hide something. Never completely telling the whole story.
8. The entity then lives within self that it would have others feel about self, and that it feels deep within self because of its experiences and associations with individuals of the opposite sex, that very oft become repulsive to the entity, especially in sexual relationships. These are builded urges latent and manifested in the experience of the entity.
9. For as the entity took those vows of chastity, purity and devotion to celibacy, these have become innately displeasing at times. Never satisfying or never gratifying desires for self or for others.
10. These will become and are stumblingblocks to the entity. Yet these are not necessarily those things that should make for disagreements with others, for there are those abilities within self to meet the needs of those relationships in those directions when there is the choice. But as should be from every individual, there should be agreement between those individuals in such relationships and only when there is such should there be the relationships. For the lack of such agreement brings more discordant notes between individuals than any portion of relationships with the opposite sex. The disagreements may be very slight at times, but they grow. For these relationships are the channels for the activity of creative forces and not by mere chance.
11. The abilities then are for the entity to build that within self to make this experience in the earth harmonious,
4082-1 Page 3
bringing peace, happiness and joy, cultivating those things deep within self that are the fruits of the spirit.
12. Man may not live by bread alone. Man may not live by the gratifying of appetites in the material world. For man is not made for this world alone. There is a longing for those experiences which the soul, as an entity, has experienced. And without spirituality the earth is indeed a hell, an individual soul do what it will or may. Such longing may not be gratified from without or in the consciousness of, and the experiences that pertain to, the forces and influences without self. For the body is indeed the temple of the living God. Act like it! Keep it clean. Don't desecrate it ever, but keep it such that it may be the place where you would meet thine own better self, thine own God-self. As ye do this, there may be brought harmony, peace, joy. As in everything else, if ye would have joy ye must make others happy! Bring joy to others. If ye would have love, ye must show thyself lovely! If ye would have friends, show thyself friendly! If ye would know God, search for Him, for He is within thine own self! And as ye express Him in the fruits of spirit; love, grace, mercy, peace, longsuffering, patience, kindness, gentleness; ye will find such within thyself. For if ye would have life indeed (and life is the manifestation of God) ye must give it. For the manner in which ye treat thy fellow man is the manner in which ye treat thy Maker. This is the source of life, the source of love, the source of peace, the source of harmony, and as ye give expression to same, it may come indeed to thee.
13. In the application, then, know thyself, thy ideals, thy purposes. Then study to show thyself approved unto God, condemning no one, for with what judgment ye mete, it is measured to thee. Ye cannot judge others harshly and not expect to be judged harshly. Ye cannot do evil that good may come. For each tree, each body, each life is known by the fruits it bears within itself.
14. Ready for questions.
15. (Q) What have been the causes of so much fear in the entity's life? (A) Read just what has been indicated.
16. (Q) What are the reasons that the entity takes life more seriously than the average person? (A) For ye have taken it more seriously in other experiences.
17. (Q) How did the entity's inferiority complex originate? (A) For the fear or dislike of men. You cannot be one who took the vows and kept them and then lightly turn around and
4082-1 Page 4
try to gratify the appetites of those who are not easily satisfied.
18. (Q) What has been the cause of the entity's nervousness? (A) Lack of coordination in body with the purposes in soul-self.
19. (Q) Is there some emotional complex back of the entity's trembling when emotionally upset? (A) Read those things that have been indicated of what you are meeting within thine own self. You do not meet others' problems save as you take them on yourself. You meet thyself in same.
20. (Q) Does she have an "electra complex"? (A) No. Read those things that have been indicated as to what are the sources or urges that arise from physical, mental and spiritual. Don't leave one portion out.
21. (Q) Psychoanalytically speaking does the entity have a split personality? (A) Let's leave these out, for ye are living part of the real self. The psycho-self is a portion of the eternal but if ye misjudge, misapply any of the phases of the whole of the entity, ye leave out something.
