Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern War Time.

1. GD: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4088].

3. As we find, while the body is very good in many respects, there are those tendencies and conditions the correction of which would allow the body to respond in the present and to gradually overcome the weaknesses, the tiredness, the lack of energies, and thus the outlook upon circumstances and conditions about the body would be greatly improved.

4. There is low resistance as the result of superacidity in the system, causing poor eliminations and the effects of toxic conditions through the body. These as we find are the sources. Then, with this superacidity, there are those conditions with the central nerve and blood supply. Hence the organs of the central nerve and blood supply show tendencies towards weakness. The circulation between heart and liver is affected, also that between the kidneys and lungs.

5. We find there is slow activity or torpidity of the liver. In the heart's activity there is a heaviness and an unbalanced condition, because of the disturbances in liver.

6. Then, to make better conditions for this body, we would begin first by having a thorough, high colonic irrigation to cleanse or purify the colon area. This we would have done by Dr. Parker.

7. After the colonic we would begin with thorough, general osteopathic manipulations. We would have about six to eight of such treatments, but have a good colonic irrigation before beginning these. These should, or will, stimulate better activity and coordination. Have the osteopath on the same floor with Dr. Parker.

8. When the first three osteopathic treatments have been given (not before) we would begin taking internally a tonic

such as may be found in KalDAK. For this body, take a heaping teaspoonful first disssolved in a little hot water and then the glass filled with milk - each evening before retiring.

9. There should be kept a regular balanced diet. Increase, however, the amount of raw vegetables taken. Have some raw vegetables as a salad each day, or at times these may be taken separately. Have a little if any hog meat, though crisp breakfast bacon may be taken at times. Fish, fowl and lamb are preferable as the meats, but stress more the leafy vegetables in the diet.

10. The weakness in the lungs is the condition in circulation, NOT real T.B. There is not active bacilli there.

11. When the resistance is built up we will find that the cough will gradually disappear. We would use an inhalant to lessen the irritation to the bronchi and larynx, having one prepared in this manner:

12. To 4 ounces of Grain Alcohol, in a 6 ounce bottle with a screw top or a glass stopper, add - in the order named: Oil of Eucalyptol................20 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp.............5 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin.....20 minims, Oil of Pine Needles..............10 minims, Tolu in Solution.................30 minims. When this is to be inhaled (especially at night and of mornings, or whenever there is a tendency for the coughing), shake the solution, remove the cork, and inhale deep into the throat and lungs. Don't swallow the fumes. Do not take any of the solution, just inhale the fumes. Thus we will relieve this cough or this irritation in the bronchi.

13. Doing these, we will rid the body of these tendencies for colds, the tiredness, and make for better circulation, nearer normal conditions in heart, and better eliminations through alimentary canal and better activity of the liver.

14. Do that.

15. We are through with this Reading. Two copies to Self (one for Dr. Parker and Dr. Irvin - See marked carbon copy to be shown first to Dr. James R. Parker in the Bankers Trust Bldg., Norfolk, who is to give the colonic, and then to Dr. C. W. Irvin in the same building on the same floor who is to give the osteopathic treatments.) Copy to Ass'n file
