Time of Reading 10:45 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.J. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4125]. Now, as we find, there are specific conditions that disturb the general equilibrium of the body. Many of the conditions are reflex, but with the relief of those conditions that produce these, or that prevent the system from functioning in a normal manner, many of the reflex conditions for the body will be relieved also.

2. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [4125] we are speaking of, present in this room:

3. THE BLOOD SUPPLY shows the effects of a general disturbance throughout the system, produced by the subluxation of centers along the cerebrospinal system that have not adjusted themselves to the reactions that are taking place in the system. In some instances there are the after-effects, or gas pains that are produced by the effluvia thrown off by various centers along the circulatory system that prevents the body from having circulation in the normal way and manner, which - when we find the circulation filling the liver, the pancreas, the spleen - makes for pressures in the region of the diaphragm as to prevent it from pulsating downward, pushing up on the activities of the respiratory system, or lungs, that FILL the same with those depressions which cause the blood flow to the head to become twice the amount as should be in its general circulation. Naturally, these conditions produce the large amount of ash or drosses that must be eliminated, by this over-activity in the upper portion of the body. This produces the quick pulsation, this produces the shortness of the breath, this produces those heavy pains to the head; and, as the circulation is abnormal, makes for that clamminess in the lower portion, or in the extremities and the trunk portion of the body.

4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, then, are the basic forces or the CAUSES that produce these conditions. Where those

activities externally in the operative measures for the body brought about the shocks to the nervous system, the inability of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal to coordinate properly with the general functioning of the system is the specific condition. The basis of this, or the centers suffering from the same are in the cardiac plexus and secondary cardiac plexus; hence are those that affect the upper portion of the circulation.

5. As we find, the general organs of the system should be, or WOULD be nominal in their functioning were there relieved those pressures in the upper dorsal and cervical area; and with this relief there will come the normal flow, the rest, the rest from those conditions that PREVENT this circulation from being normal, relieving those activities in the pancrean, liver and spleen area, as to form an even circulation.

6. These pressures we would remove through the osteopathic adjustments AND manipulations that will make for a general easing of those conditions in the system. As we find, in the first two or three days there will be required treatments of the GENTLE nature; then those of the deeper or more GENERAL nature that will allow the ganglia in the area where the tautness occurs to flow through in a normal way and manner.

7. This we would do. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) How often should the adjustments be made? (A) The first two or three days, as given, there will be the general and GENTLE relaxing of the system; then after the third or fourth day there would be GENTLY begun those adjustments. From fifteen to sixteen such treatments should EASE the body to such an extent that the general activities may be resumed, with those considerations for the general conditions, but without fear and with the preventing of the re-accumulations in the system that cause plethora in the activities of the glands and the membranes in the abdominal region.

9. (Q) These treatments, then, should be given every day? (A) The first day or two it may be necessary to give them twice a day, but once a day gently given should be sufficient to soon relieve these stresses and strains.

10. (Q) How long will it take by this method to bring relief? (A) In three to four days; in fact, the first TREATMENT will bring considerable relief! After the third or fourth day the relief will be more decided, and of a SURE nature that the CAUSES are being removed. In fifteen to sixteen treatments the body should be able to return to its nearer normal activities; its OUTLOOK upon Life will be entirely

different!

11. (Q) What doctor (osteopath) would you suggest to give these treatments for the body? (A) One that is a specialist in the manner of the activities for the MEMBRANES of the system - see?

12. (Q) Would Dr. Richardson of Norfolk be able to give these in the manner necessary? (A) We would suggest this FIRST, and we would do this immediately! Dr. Richardson of Norfolk. He will understand the conditions and be in sympathy with the activities that may be given through these channels, aiding to bring relief to this body in VERY short order!

13. (Q) Any other advice for this body at this time that will help? (A) To be sure, to keep in the open and in the sunshine (as he will suggest) will be well for the body. There will also be outlined, by the one applying these treatments, those manners of diet and of exercise which will be most helpful. These we would follow.

14. (Q) As she has had an operation, would it be alright to take exercises? (A) These conditions, to be sure, WILL be and must be taken into consideration; but the TENDENCIES for the thickening of tissue (which has hindered and does cause these pressures in the ganglia disturbed) are bringing the distress that has been outlined, see? so that the mild FORM of exercise would be to PREVENT these adhesions; they are causing the disorders, you see, producing pressures in the system FROM forming. With the massage, and the circulation increased, the drosses that have been mentioned will be eliminated, see? hence the sufficient exercise; not strong, not heavy exercise, to be sure, but sufficient that the circulatory system, blood supply and nerve energy, would be near normal to meet the conditions, see? Do that, and we will find relief for these conditions.
