1. GC: You will have before you Charles Augustus Lindbergh, Jr., who was in his room on the second floor of the home of his parents, about five miles northwest of Hopewell, N.J., at about 7:30 P.M., on March 1st, 1932. You will please briefly trace the movements of the body, who was removed from his home on Tuesday evening, March 1st, 1932. Give the exact location of this baby at this present hour, March 9, 1932, and describe the surest and best way to restore the child unharmed to his parents.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Charles Augustus Lindbergh, Jr. - 7:30 - 8:30 - He's being removed from the room - He is carried by a man. There is another waiting, and who takes the body as it is lowered to the ground. They immediately turn to the right and through those of the surrounding grounds leave. This, then, has another body in the car in which these are going. Going northward, and through those of the outlying section. Now, we find there are some changes in the manner of transportation, in that another car is used in going on northward and into Jersey City, and through the tunnels. Then across the city in the morning carried into Connecticut, in that region of Cordova, and there the body is YET - as we find. This not far from New Haven, and is on the outskirts of this town Cordova, and may be located there as yet - alive - well - but changed somewhat.

3. Ready for questions.

4. Those that were instrumental in the removing, not in the direct manner, have been apprehended - and are yet being held; not responsible, KNOWINGLY, but gave the information that ENABLED the bodies to locate the place.

(A) The body has remained in THIS place, as we find, since Wednesday, and there is little chance or OPPORTUNITY - with these conditions SURROUNDING same - of the body being moved. As for the safety, that not as secure - yet we would find that this may be taken care of without bodily injury.

7. (Q) What is the exact address or location of the body? (A) As we find, in entering this suburb, or edge of the New Haven or Cordova section, we find the streets are beyond those of the named - but it's of the section where there have been mill workers, and a two story home that was once green and then painted brown - that is UNASSUMING, yet is not wholly ramshackle in its appearance. This is on the east side of the town.

8. (Q) On the east side of New Haven? (A) Or Cordova section.

9. (Q) Who guards the body? (A) One woman and three men are now at the home.

10. (Q) What is the best manner to communicate with them without harming the baby, or without harm coming to the baby? (A) Through someone who may make the arrangements or agreements for the release, or return, WITHOUT injury to the body. There are many channels through which such may be done. There are already many in motion, and there have been individuals close to same. Those that are of the ones that are acquainted best with those of the nature of the racketeers would be the better channel. These individuals are partially new, partially NOT new, to such rackets - see? that is, one HAS been an employee of such an one - the others entirely new.

11. (Q) Is it possible to get the names of any of these people? (A) The woman is known as Madge, while the men - or ONE of the men - that may be termed the leader - is called Meglo.

12. (Q) What is the best way to communicate with them? (A) Through anyone who is acquainted WITH the character of such individuals.

13. (Q) Is there any direct address that a letter or telephone call could reach them? (A) To Cordova in Connecticut, this would reach them - to Madge Beliance.

14. (Q) Is there any special mark on the house? (A) 437.

15. (Q) Is there any special mark on the street? (A) At the present time there's some goats in the yard.

16. (Q) Is it thickly settled, or any houses close by? (A) Rather as a regular mill, or town where such - rather closely settled.

17. (Q) What kind of houses are on either side?

4191-1 Page 3

(A) Most of these are of the frame structure, but of the square built - run rather uniform - in this - 473 - the street, we don't find the number. 473 is plain, because it has a glass mark - which is not on any of the rest.

18. (Q) Is there any building of importance by which the street might be designated? (A) Turns up this little red hill here - it's a very nice street, yet it shows red across the paving - of the character where there's red - short turn at this to the left, you see, as you go out the street. Scharter Street - going out Scharter Street and turn to this center - corner.

19. (Q) After turning left, how far do you go to reach the house? (A) Third house - 473.

20. (Q) Is there any mark by which corner - (A) The street where the red dirt across the paving - on Scharter Street.

21. (Q) How is this spelled? (A) S-c-h-a-r-t-e-r.

22. (Q) Is there any danger of the child being harmed, and what precautions should be taken to prevent this? (A) As was given, not LACK of precautions should be taken - for in making connection, or making associations with the individuals here - Madge Beliance - Meglo - e - lo - these, as we find, may be approached without there being too great a harm for the safety of the child. There are some other peoples in portion of the house not even acquainted with the surroundings. Child is well - the body, the father, should be assured of that.

23. (Q) Has the child's hair been cut or colored to disguise same? (A) Cut and colored.
