Time of Reading ... Hotel, 3:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Virginia Beach, Virginia. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4245]. Now, as we find, while conditions are very good as to the physical functioning of the body, there are rather those conditions of which the body should take warnings, and with the correction of these other conditions that have been and are disturbing at times will be eliminated from the system.

2. As we find, there are some specific conditions that are apparently of very minor nature, yet were these corrected in the present there would be a better functioning of the general system and the prevention of disorders - as the conditions would gradually develop to become troublesome in the system.

3. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [4245] we are speaking of, present in this room:

4. The BLOOD supply we find very good. These are only conditions that disturb at times, when there is an over stress in the nervous system, from those conditions that may be in the present easily adjusted and eliminated.

5. In the NERVOUS system, here we find the greater causes for distress, or that which may be eliminated in the present and prevent those disorders that may arise - or ARE arising - from these pressures. There is, then, existent in the lower lumbar region - the 2nd, 3rd lumbar area - that which makes for some impingements there, that makes for the heaviness that apparently comes to the lower limbs, and disturbing forces as related to the lower digestive system, making for periods at times when the nervousness upsets the digestion and the eliminating system. Reflexly, these also disturb the coordinating between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system, through these making for disorders that appear as specific conditions in organs of the sensory system, or making for weaknesses in the functioning of these organs - as the eyes, the ears, the respiratory system, as related to the throat and head, and those effects that make

for at times insomnia, or the distress of at all periods being easily aroused, or not sleeping as well as the body should. These, as we see, are then SYMPTOMS, rather than the disorders direct.

6. In the functioning of the ORGANS themselves - brain forces very good. The discernments of the reaction in the sensory system are good, as related to the active forces of the cerebrospinal nervous system; yet these pressures - from those conditions existent in the cerebrospinal system - make for an irritation to the sympathetics, so that the body has at times those periods of worrying over conditions that never happen!

7. In the action of the throat, lungs, and the respiratory system - as given, these are affected at times, though only sympathetically.

8. The heart's action is good.

9. The digestive system is disturbed at periods.

10. The action of the hepatic circulation is very good, save when upset in the action of the digestion and the eliminations become poor.

11. In meeting, then, the needs of the conditions, that those may be warred against - or making the corrections that would make for the PREVENTATIVE of conditions which - arising from these - would give distresses, especially to the left lower limb, in the form of actions that may be called, from the nervous pressure, producing a reaction in that particular area; in relieving same, then:

12. We would find that the osteopathic adjustments, with the reliving of the pressures in the lumbar area, also the correction of those in the 3rd and 4th dorsal and throughout the cervical area, would relieve that pressure to the sympathetic system, bringing for the whole system a better reaction and relieving the pressures. These, as we would find, would be better to be had at least twice each week - until at least thirteen to fourteen had been taken.

13. In the matter of the diets, these are kept very well for the body in the present. These would only be changed as necessary for the corrections, as they are made in the system.

14. Ready for questions.

15. (Q) What should be done to improve the eyesight? (A) We will find that with the correction of those pressures in lumbar, in the upper dorsal and through the cervical area, all functionings of the sensory system (of which, of course, the eyesight is a part) will be strengthened. The vision will be strengthened, as well as that burning sensation will be relieved - that comes from

4245-1 Page 3

the poor elimination, by the pressure in this particular area - the 3rd dorsal, the 3rd and 5th cervical.

16. (Q) Is an internal adjustment necessary to relieve this pressure? (A) In the lower lumbar area, this would be better were the external and internal made as an adjustment together.

17. (Q) Please explain just what is meant by external and internal application at the same time. (A) Those conditions that exist in the lumbar area, where it makes for adjustments with the functioning of the pelvic organs, will make for an EASY adjustment if these are made together; that is, as the adjustments in the external - or in the lumbar area - are made, in the cerebrospinal, see, those in the organs themselves will be relieved by these being adjusted at the same time - see?

18. (Q) No operation necessary? (A) No operation necessary, if these adjustments are made. This will relieve the pressures from the periods, that make for distresses to the system through this pressure existent - which was made from those conditions at the childbirth, in those reactions.

19. (Q) Any further advice for this body at this time? (A) These we would take; for, as given, they are minor in the present - but with the irritation that comes from pressure, and the general reaction to the nervous system, these may be EASILY adjusted in the present, while - if they are allowed to become such as to become a constitutional condition, or that necessary for the alleviating of pain by the use of any applications, these would make for distresses that would make it harder to relieve. In fifteen to sixteen treatments, this should be a near perfectly normal body, and relieving these distresses, AIDING - as given - those minor reflex conditions. Do that.

20. We are through for the present. [See GD's note below.] Copy to Self " " her brother, Mr. [437] " " File [GD's note: Mrs. [4245] stated that the reading was "absolutely true" and asked that a copy of it be mailed to her brother, Mr. [437].]
