1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4252]. Now we find there are abnormal conditions with this body. These have to do with the eliminations of the system and the effect as has been produced in same by the accumulation of drosses not eliminated in various portions of the functioning organs, and the condition brought about by same.
2. Now these are conditions as we find them with this body, [4252], we are speaking of. First:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find impoverished, naturally, through poor elimination, as well as poor clarification, or oxidization, as the conditions as exist in throat, bronchials, trachea, and the effect same has produced in system is a portion of the complications as are seen in many parts of the body.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this we find - both the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic nerve system - offers the greater part of the seat or cause of conditions, by the effect as produced in these centers from which much of the radial incentive comes, from various portions of the segments in the cerebrospinal system; for with the accumulation of these impurities - as should have been eliminated from the system - the tendency of these segmentated centers to bring about those conditions as produced by such accumulation, the improper incentives are natural effects of the affectation as is produced by such condition in the functioning of the organs, as receive their impulse from such centers. Hence we find - as there has been in the system from time to time - various portions of the body as have suffered under the stress and strain of a high taut or a high tension nerve system, first in the cerebrospinal, then when the system began to force itself to function under the strain of SYMPATHETIC system, the condition became MORE acute on account of this taking on, as it were, the same condition. Hence the sudden loss in the weight, in the ability to force self farther, or - as might
4252-1 Page 2
be termed - a FULL nervous breakdown with functioning organs under sympathy, not only of the nerve system but of the accumulation incentives from functioning in the organs themselves, from the nerve centers and radials.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING ORGANS, as seen, many of these suffer under the stress and strain of the condition existent. The head, neck, throat and lungs OFFER that of the greater distress. At the same time, the greater improvement may come to the body through these very same conditions, for with the assistance of the system to produce the proper reflexes through the activity of a purified blood supply, the carbon may be added to system in such a manner as to bring resuscitation to the functioning of the system, and aid the whole body in its ability to recuperate. Also there must be considered the abilities of the system to bring about the collaboration of the eliminating systems in their proper order and distribution, for to produce - in a condition as existent in this body, [4252], an overtaxation to one portion of the system through the non-cooperation of the rest of the eliminating system would be to only CENTRALIZE the condition in some one portion of the functioning organs in elimination. Either, then, the lower hepatic circulation, liver and kidneys, lungs, or that of the digestive system, would be the sufferer, without this proper coordination being brought about as the condition would be assisted or ELIMINATED from the body.
6. In the functioning of the organs, then, these must be kept, as given, in this way of keeping in the way of cooperation, or collaboration, or cooperating in the PROPER manner of elimination. Through the respiratory system must come the proper amount. Through the alimentary canal must come the proper amount. Through that of the distribution through the hepatic circulation the liver in its function, both as excretory and secretive, must be kept in balance. That of the eliminating through the kidneys, and through these portions of the system, should be kept in balance.
7. To add, then, for this body, that vibration as will bring about the resuscitation of the forces in the body, we would BEGIN with these - though there will be found that it will be necessary for a change from time to time to bring about the normal forces for this body.
8. Begin first, then, using these as inhalants for the body. These should be prepared, then, in this manner, and USED in the manner as is outlined.
9. First there should be that of pure apple brandy, as would be kept in a CHARRED container - not of any other but a CHARRED container, at least two quarts of same in a
4252-1 Page 3
container twice the size of the quantity, and so arrange that this being kept near a fire will produce fumes above same, and same may be inhaled into the throat, bronchials and lungs, at least twice each day - not a solution, only that gas as is thrown off by evaporation from same. This will act as a healer for the lungs, the throat, the larynx, and the whole system. Also a stimuli for the blood supply as will be carried into the system by this being inhaled.
10. Then we would use THIS as an inhalant that may be used whenever there is the necessity of reducing the irritation as is produced in throat by that of the improper relation of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal nerve system, from the 4th and 5th dorsal, 4th, 3rd, 2nd cervical, to the throat - in attempt of the system to throw off through these portions of the body. This will act only as a CLEANSER, and as the form of the active forces in preventing the spread of infection from conditions that should be ELIMINATED from the body:
11. To 4 ounces of at least 85% alcohol, add: Eucalyptol.....................22 minims, Benzoin.........................5 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp...........5 minims, Rectified Creosote..............8 minims, Canadian Balsam................10 minims, Tincture Tolu in solution.......4 minims.
12. Keep this in a glass corked container at least twice the size of the amount of solution. Do not shake solution until ready to be inhaled. Inhale both through nostril and through the mouth.
13. To cleanse the nostril region, where there has been infection in the soft tissue of face, nose, antrum, and other portions of this part of body, pour a portion of this solution in hot boiling water and cover head, inhaling same in the nostril - not through mouth, but in the nostril.
14. When shaken cold, inhale in mouth AND nostril - but to CLEANSE the nostril HEAT in boiling water; for each of these properties are thrown off at a DIFFERENT heat, and it is necessary that head be covered to receive benefit from same.
15. Let the diet, while these treatments are being administered, be those of blood and nerve tissue building properties - but of the alkalin reaction in the system. Hence those of the juices of fruits, of nuts and the like, are the PRINCIPAL foods. Juices of BEEF may be taken, but not the flesh. This should be extracted by heating, but not added in, other than the juices as prepared in proper seasoning. Plenty of salines, or plenty of salt for the
4252-1 Page 4
body. Salt rubs, when the manipulations are given osteopathically, would be well for the body. Rubbed until the HEAT is brought to the exterior portion of body. These will aid in stimulating the blood supply, as the inhalants will aid internally. The manipulation should be such as not to relax too SUDDENLY, but that the activities of the body may be kept in proper coordinating through the system.
16. Keep these for at least three weeks - the inhalants, the manipulation every DAY, not deep - but for three weeks. Then we would give further instructions. Do that, [4252]. We are through for the present. Copy to Cayce Hospital " " Self
