1. LS: You will give the physical conditions of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for the treatment for the cure and relief for this body. You will answer all questions which I will ask you relative to this body.
2. EC: Now, we find the general conditions in this body are greatly improved. There still needs be given the proper stimulation to the centers as branch from the cerebrospinal column to the organs of the digestive system. These will be found from the 7th to the 10th dorsal. Especially stimulate that branch that has to do with the supplying of the incentives in functioning to the pancreas and duodenum. This, as we find, also stimulates the excretory system in the liver and through the hepatics.
3. The diet should be kept much in the manner as has been outlined. As for the milk, this may be given in small quantities without heating. However, the care should be given to the supply from which this milk is obtained, and had best be from that source where principally dry food is given, for this supply with the new vegetation would be detrimental. Will be beneficial farther along in season. Not too much sugar, even of the beet sugar, but do not use raw cane sugar in any manner. Saccharin would be better even than the beet sugar. In the diet give apples raw, if ripe. No bananas. Spinach, potatoes (both sweet and Irish) may be given. No new crop of either. The diet shall be of the cereal, that carrying as much of the whole wheat as possible. Whole pure wheat, rolled, and this made in gruel would be excellent for system.
4. Do that, keeping in the manner and way as has been outlined, stimulating the pancreas and excretory system; not too deep but sufficiently deep that the organs may function near nominally, [4281].
5. (Q) The milk referred to, does this mean then fresh sweet milk? (A) Fresh sweet milk.
6. (Q) Would it be detrimental for the body to be given meats of any character?
4281-5 Page 2
(A) The juices of meats may be given; that is, of clean beef. Do not give meats, save fish or wild fowl. No tame fowl.
7. (Q) How often should the body be given orange juice? (A) May be twice a day, as long as it agrees with the body.
8. (Q) When the body eats prunes, what gives the fermentation, the sugar or the prunes? (A) Both, for sugar with prunes creates an alcohol in the system, and of the nature that the body, [4281], is not able to handle. Hence fermentation is produced in duodenum. Lack of secretions in pancreas to handle such. Saccharin with this would overcome much of this, provided there was the proper stimulation to the 9th dorsal.
9. (Q) In giving fruit to the body, should sugar be eliminated in every case? (A) Quantities should be. Small quantities may be given.
10. We are through with this reading.
