1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Now, we find there are those conditions with this body that may be so changed as to bring about better functioning of the physical conditions of the organs of the body. There are many things concerning the physical and mental make-up of this particular body that must be considered, when those conditions or applications are made towards correcting or changing conditions in the functioning of the organism.
3. Now, these are the conditions as we find them for this body, in the correcting of same. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find, from outside influences (as gas inhaled, as shocks to the general system), these have affected the supply as much as internal conditions, or those as bring about that change of food values and conditions taken in the system to rebuild or to furnish this supply in the system. In the effect then as is produced in blood stream at the present, we find the effect of these conditions, and reflections of same in the capillary circulation, or the connection with portion of the blood supply in the lymphatic circulation WITH that of the blood stream proper. Such is seen in the capillary centers in various portions of the system. Also the effects of same are seen in the functioning of the eliminating centers, or that which gives to the system that stability of an equilibrium in assimilation and elimination; such as is seen in kidneys proper and the functioning of same; as is seen in the liver in its functioning, especially as concerning with that combination of secretions from the liver with that of the pancrean juices as secreted, and the effect that is produced about the lacteal ducts. Also, to some extent, this condition is shown in portions of the bronchial tubes,
4297-1 Page 2
where the effect of gas, and the effect of a deterred or hindered circulation, has and does produce irritations, which to the nervous system, in that condition as is produced in the lymphatic and blood stream in capillary, brings distresses or irritations of uncertain nature at times in the system. See, we have a combination of conditions as exist in this portion of the disturbances of this body, [4297] we are speaking of.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, the mental forces of the body control, rather than the ordinary locomotory forces of nerve centers, save as is of the voluntary nature - that is, under the stress and strain through which the system has passed at the various stages of the development, we find the body PHYSICAL controlled by MENTAL in this connection of nerve system, rather than of the normal way, for the will's forces, as are seen, control the system much. Ordinarily, we would find a body given up - gone to pieces.
6. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANISM OF THE BODY, brain forces, as are seen, exceptional in their nature and in the functioning.
7. Organs of the sensory system show the strain under which the body functions.
8. The throat, bronchials, lungs, larynx - that strain as is shown in the disturbed nerve centers, especially of the secondary cardiac plexus; also those of the thorax and of the centers from the diaphragm in its reaction, which becomes the conjunction functioning between the functioning of digestive and of the respiratory system - that is, at certain stages. Of course, not always; when it's a functional condition from the respiratory and digestive system.
9. In the organs as themselves, not organic, but functional nature, from many disturbances as are seen in the blood stream, in the nerve system.
10. Heart's action, then, irregular. Not an organic condition, but again the effect of the control of the sympathetic system over the cerebrospinal, and of the condition in the blood itself.
11. Liver, spleen, and the organs of digestion, are disturbed both functionally and through secondary condition as produced by other forces; though the body suffers distresses in the digestion, especially in the lower end, for we find, as has been given, that distress in the pancrean juices, or the pancrean fluids as are given in the system, and of the liver. This distress is rather of the nerve STRAIN than of organic, as has been given or told the entity in other conditions.
4297-1 Page 3
12. In the lower portion, or throughout the mesenteric system, this distress at times, with the overcharge in the kidneys, produces this heaviness, this condition wherein the dizziness appears to the body, and the overflow of all the pressure, or of the metabolism of the system - seems, as it were, out of balance. This, as we see, again a pressure produced on the lower portion of the nerve plexus; not as direct of solar plexus, but as of the lower branch, or that which comes toward the front, just below the 12th dorsal, see?
13. Then, to bring the normal, or better, conditions for this body, would be through THIS nature:
14. First, the system should be taken well in hand by the body, mentally, realizing, as it should, the physical must be made as near normal as possible for the mental to better function in a physical manner to the betterment of self and those dependent upon it. Then, there must be physical conditions take place in the system that the inhibition of mental over system may control, for this, as we find, the pressures as are produced in the various centers, give such a stress on the general system as to cause disturbances that will lead, not only to such abnormal functional trouble, but as to become organic, were these not corrected, in the later periods of cycle functioning.
15. Correct, then, first the mental attitude of self. Second, correct through manipulation, osteopathically preferred, those conditions in the cervical (2nd - 5th); 3rd and 5th dorsal, 9th, 10th, 11th dorsal, and the lumbar and sacral region; rather as stimulated than correcting segments that have become subligated.
16. In the properties for the suggestion of proper distribution in system, no medicinal properties other than plenty of water and of those of a saline nature through mesenteric system, to prevent any toxins from forming in centers, especially in the lower portion of mesenteric system. Hence the salines, preferably used as douches or enemas, to cleanse lower portion of body; keeping plenty of water throughout the alimentary canal.
17. Drinking plenty of water - not meats as diets; rather green vegetable until the system is more thoroughly balanced in the eliminations, at least. With this, through this way and manner, we will bring the better conditions for this body.
18. At least as many as thirteen to fifteen (13 to 15) such adjustments should be given for the system, and these should be given, for the first few days, EVERY day. Then every second or third day. When these have been followed out, we
4297-1 Page 4
will find the system will respond to self and to the body BUILDING in the physical man.
19. We are through for the present.
