1. LS: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief for this body.
2. EC: Now, we find this body very good in many respects, yet there are abnormal conditions that need correction. The body, as we find, is in that of the developing stage. In times back we find there have been conditions existent in the system wherein the lymph producing portions in the body and the emunctories of the system were involved in the existent condition, and about many of these centers, especially in trunk portion of body and in ganglions from which these centers receive nutrition, there are lesions formed. Hence condition existent at present wherein the vitality of the system is low and the resistive forces in the body are at nought to meet conditions at times. Hence the laggard activity in the system, the inability of the normal development through physical forces, though the mental abilities of the body are above normal.
3. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, [4299], we are speaking of. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, while we find this very good in its constituents and elements, yet in its circulation it is at times slow in meeting its equilibrium in rest from physical conditions. Hence the condition existing in times when the body should rest. Restlessness and such conditions. Nervousness in its action in its first awakening periods, during the evenings at times. These conditions present themselves beyond the ordinary or normal conditions. Hence brings distress to other watching this development in the body, from the conditions as we shall see. Inability then of coordination in circulation rather than of blood itself, yet affecting organs in portion of body.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find there are many centers throughout the body wherein these lymph producing glands, this separation in white and red blood supply, this
4299-1 Page 2
condition in the tissue in the portions of system where the lymph performs its function throughout the system, this shows how the lesions prevent this condition from developing nominally, or body from developing normally. In these specific centers we find: In the 1st and 2nd cervical, in the 3rd, 4th and 5th dorsal and in the 10th, 11th and 12th dorsal. Hence we find the condition of a nerve temperament in digestion, of a nerve temperament in the action throughout trunk portion of body, especially in that having to do with the eliminations or the excretory system in trunk portion. In the reflexes as produced from these conditions we have the functional conditions of organs involved, as we shall see.
6. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good.
7. Sensory organism rather accentuated; that is, keen perception in judgement, beyond the years in sight, exceedingly good in hearing, and in speech slow but thinking in the functioning of same.
8. In the throat, bronchials, lungs, larynx, we find the effects of this lack of lymphatic circulation, this lack of emunctory elimination. Hence body easily (at times; not always) to be susceptible to cold an heat. No abnormal conditions in these portions of body, yet all function under strain at certain cycles of development.
9. Heart's action subnormal and again abnormal, depending upon the action of the sympathetic system, which is through the activity of sensory system susceptible to conditions and to suggestions.
10. In the digestive system we find more of the organs involved. Spleen full in size. Pancreas show a lack of proper secretions. Liver torpid and smaller than of its normal development, on account of conditions as have been seen and given. Hepatic circulation high. Kidneys over-active, yet not functioning in a normal manner in its eliminations.
11. Then, to bring, to give, the normal conditions to this body, we would take those properties in the system that will supply that necessary for the rebuilding of the body and the creating in nerve, blood and tissue that necessary to bring the better development in system. Relieving by the deep manipulation (osteopathically given) those lesions all along the spine, as has been given, equalizing the circulation through this manipulation, and equalizing the conditions as will be found in those centers and in those ganglions as pointed out.
12. The properties as would be taken in system would be Beef, Iron and Wine, (Wyeth's preferable, half the quantity
4299-1 Page 3
as given for child) with the emulsion of Cod Liver Oil (half the quantity as given for child). These to be taken in their regular order; that is, one taken in one part of day, other taken in other part of day. Beef Iron and Wine evenings, Cod Liver Oil or emulsions mornings, but only taking half the quantity even as given to child for this body.
13. Let the diet be those of the green vegetable forces as much as possible. Sea foods and fowl, no other heavy meats, though meat juices may be given but not the meat itself.
14. With this we will find the normal, the full, development of this body. This we will find necessary that at least sixteen treatments osteopathically be given, and small quantity, but sufficient to produce the correct equilibrium and incentive through the digestive system, of the medicinal properties.
15. Do that.
16. We are through.
