1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
2. Now these are the conditions as we find them in this body, [4360] we are speaking of, see? We find there are abnormal conditions in the system, caused by disturbed distribution of the rebuilding forces; caused first by congestion to certain portions of the body, especially those that have to do with the supply of nerve force to the head, and more especially to those organs in the sensory system that have to do with the hearing and eyesight.
3. Some time back, not at present, there was begun in this body some trouble with the kidneys, in alleviating this condition was produced in the system too much force so that it affected the digestion, that is the part making contact with the new blood supply in the system. Then with cold and congestion in the system produced by bacilli formed in the lungs these set about in themselves to establish an equilibrium in the new force to rebuild or to form about the gangulars [ganglia] of the blood a nerve force in conjunction with the muscular force as thrown off from the upper dorsal and lower cervical. Then in the sympathetic and nervous systems there was established too much of the force that was not absorbed in the system, or rather there was no equilibrium brought about in the used nerve force of the body. This then formed lesions along this portion of the spine that affected the blood supply to the ear and its functioning and to the eye and its functioning, so that the hearing and the sight are impaired and this impairment is produced throughout the system itself, which in turn becomes a reflex condition to the eye or optic nerve and it throws off discharges of used matter. In the nervous energy of the sensory system there is something used but it must be carried off in the proper channels; and in this case by reason of congestion and not proper nerve force the blood supply flowing through all channels has become impaired.
4. Now in other portions of the body we have at times some digestive trouble. We have at times some reflex trouble more to the liver than the kidneys, but they carry more albumen than they should; this, with the age, causes trouble.

5. Now to relieve these conditions in this body: local applications should be given, that is taking off the disused matter, that is the discharge, from the eye; it is well that these discharges are removed by plain warm water carrying an antiseptic preferably alkaline than acid (about twice a day or more frequently if necessary) according to the blood supply at present. We would correct the physical body by manipulation along the upper portion of the body, that is from the first cervical along the whole spine, and by adding to the system a low electrical force along the cervical leading to the nerve and blood supply of the head, which would increase the force to bring relief. The form of electricity would be cold, not of high voltage, but low.
6. (Q) Would this form of electricity bring the hearing back to normal, Mr. Cayce? (A) This is what we are giving the treatment for. It will assist to bring it back; age will have something to do with it, and it will take a longer time on that account, but the age must be taken into consideration. But it will help the body to think easier, and the body will not feel the aches and pains in the lower limbs. The manipulation and the electricity will both help.
7. (Q) Will you give us an idea as to the time for this, Mr. Cayce? (A) It will be from three to five moons if the treatment is given regularly and systematically.
8. (Q) How frequently should this treatment be given, Mr. Cayce? (A) Manipulation to the spine every two days, and vibrations to the system every five days.
9. We are through.
