1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4393], present in this room. Now, we find while the body is very good physically in many respects, there are those conditions as disturb the equilibrium of the body, that are precautions taken in the present will bring not only relief physically, but will prevent greater distresses later. These conditions, as we find, are primarily an unbalancing of the system as related to elements that go to make up the vitality of the system itself. Hence partakes of many varied conditions in the system, and some of the disorders as are seen are rather the signs of disturbance than the real causes of existent conditions.

2. These, then, are the conditions as we find them in this body: First:

3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find there is that which NOMINALLY would be called of little disturbance, yet were the activities of same classified there would be found that the metabolism and katabolism of the system was disturbed through the elements that are lacking, or over-predominant in the blood stream itself. This condition produces, then, rather the impoverishment to functioning systems, or produces an over-abundance of other elements in other functioning organs that produces disturbance in that organ or portion of the system, as is seen in the manner in which the respiratory system responds to the functioning of the organs of the hepatic circulation. While there are no evidences of disorders IN the respiratory system, other than that of the impoverishment which produces IN the lung area that of a FULLNESS, that does not become oxidized as proper in the functioning of the system, this makes, then, burdened conditions in the liver and spleen, as well as for the kidneys themselves. This is rather, that there is the necessity that the liver AND the kidneys FUNCTION nearer in coordination, that there be no disturbances in the ORGANIC functioning of the organs. While the disturbance in the

4393-1 Page 2

present is functional in nature, are these allowed to remain without the creating within the physical organism that which will produce or keep a more even balance, or a better coordination IN the hepatic circulation, there must arise not only FUNCTIONAL but ORGANIC disturbance in the organs of the hepatic circulation. Hence the lymph and the emunctories of the hepatic circulation are those involved in the present.

4. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, that the body from the mental portion has been under strain is evidenced by the characterization in many of the centers along the cerebrospinal nervous system, especially in those ganglia along the 3rd, 4th and 5th dorsal centers. WITH the unbalanced condition in the elements of the system, the organs that function under the impulse of those ganglia or centers show that there is a congestion at times in the FUNCTIONING of digestive and assimilation. This within itself shows, or indicates, how that the disorders in this physical body become, then, as complications that COULD arise, were there not the equal balance brought in the mental, the physical, the imaginative body. The sympathetic system has been under such strains that all along those centers where there are particular centralization between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic system, makes for those of heaviness to the body, depressions in the feelings, as of far away feelings, as separations at times between the outer self and the inner self, as if the skin would dry, again as if the heart and lungs were too full for the body, heaviness in the lower portion of the torso, the feet feel as if they would drag, stretchy feelings through the lower portion of the limbs themselves. These are rather indications than causes. These are reflexes from an overtaxed mental and physical being, with improper nourishment or sustenance coming from the blood supply to bring buoyancy to the whole physical being; the brain feeling at times dull, as if unable to think farther on, as if it would stop. This all from the SYMPATHETIC system, and needs rather that of the resuscitation of elements in the physical being as would bring to the body those of renewed energies that would supply the whole system. At times the throat dry, and at others phlegm and congestion through the soft tissue of face and head. These are reflexes again, and in the effect of impairment to the circulation by those pressures in the upper dorsal and sympathetically from the upper cervical area.

5. In meeting, then, the needs - for, as is indicated, the organs show the STRAIN under which they have existed - while

4393-1 Page 3

the FUNCTIONING is disturbed, that, will there be brought revitalization in the system through the creating of an even balance in the elements of the body, these - the organs - will respond to the reviving, as will the nervous system and the organs that are affected at times under same.

6. Then, we would take internally as this, first: We would prepare in this manner: To 4 ounces of simple syrup, we would add: Elixir of Quinine.....................1/4 ounce, Tincture of Valerian..................1/4 ounce, Iodide of Potassium 10% solution........1 dram, Tincture of Capsici.....................3 minims.

7. Shake the solution together before the dose is taken. We would take half a teaspoonful 4 times each day. When this has been taken for 5 to 10 days, rest from same for 3 days, then take Atomidine - as is prepared, but take only 3 minims in water twice each day for a week, or 8 consecutive days. During the period we would have, at least twice each week, a full manipulation throughout, with especial attention being given in correcting those subluxations in the upper dorsal area, as will relieve the pressure in the lung, the heart area, and which will also aid in EMPTYING the drosses from the system both through the respiratory system and through the alimentary canal. In the same period we would have, ONCE each week, those of the electrical vibrations from the plain VIOLET ray. This along the cerebrospinal system, particularly in the brachial and lumbar plexus. Do this, and we will find in a few weeks a near normal balance in this body. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) What causes asthma and hay fever? (A) Those pressures in the upper dorsal area, and the condition in the blood stream - as for elements that make for proper coagulation and elimination in the respiratory system. With the correction of INTERNAL conditions, and the correction of those subligations in the dorsal AND cervical, this should be ridded from the body, and all ASSOCIATE conditions where irritation to muco-membranes are affected by any outside influence; for unless a body is able to build resistances within the system (which is lacking in this one, particularly, as has been outlined), it BECOMES susceptible to cold, congestion, or those effects of an overflow in some portion of the body.

9. (Q) Is my heart affected? (A) Not organically. Sympathetically, yes, but not organically.

10. (Q) Any other vital organs affected?

4393-1 Page 4

(A) FUNCTIONALLY, the respiratory system, as given, and the organs of the hepatic circulation are affected, but NOT ORGANICALLY. With the correction of those centers in the cerebrospinal system, and a building up of the elements as we have outlined for the properties to be taken, these will be removed. As there are lacking of elements in the system, these are to be supplied, as we find, with these. We have first, as given, the cinchona or Quinine, with those in solution that will act directly with the blood supply through the liver and spleen. Then with he Bromide of Potassium, this as a sedative, yet creating an irritation in the first days this is to be taken, see, for the system, so that when those of the iodine - that will act with the functioning of the glands, especially the thyroid, the endrenal [adrenal] - these, with the changed condition in the stimuli as goes to the lacteals, will create an equal balance, relieving the pressure in the sympathetic nerve system, will bring normal conditions for this body. Do that.

11. (Q) Is my hearing affected? If so, how can I recover my hearing? (A) This rather sympathetic; this from those pressures in the upper dorsal, and a poor circulation to the head; not disturbed to an extent that the organ - or those of the system itself - be disturbed; for with the correcting of a circulation, both as to nerve and to blood supply to the head, these will CLARIFY themselves. Better be more mindful of the organs of the hepatic circulation, than of those in the organs of the sensory system.

12. (Q) Do you suggest any diet, or different mode of living? (A) The diets as have been outlined at times for the body are very good. We would not change much from the general mode, but corrections FOR the system will be well. With the taking of these properties there will be different desires in direction of foods. Follow the inclinations, but do not OVER-indulge in any. Moderation in all things!

13. (Q) Is my overweight harmful to me? (A) No.

14. (Q) Is any present treatment I am using harmful? (A) We would change to this outline, and we will find results if this is done.

15. (Q) Is liquor harmful? (A) Over-indulgence, harmful. That that is a stimuli with the repressions in the hepatic circulation WOULD be harmful. This will be found, that during the period this prescription as first given is taken, if there is an OVER-indulgence the body will be mighty sick! that is, from the stomach itself.

4393-1 Page 5

16. (Q) How about my eyesight? What should I do to preserve it? (A) Correct this blood supply! Correct these of the circulation to the head, and we will find these will all be bettered. Do that!

17. (Q) Would you suggest any physical exercises that would be beneficial to me? (A) These exercises would be sufficient in the present. This would come later, with the general mode or activities of the body. Let's get THESE corrections made!

18. (Q) What is the cause of aches and pains in back and neck? (A) This has been described, as for the impaired circulation, as well as those subligations or impingements in the upper dorsal area.

19. (Q) Are the osteopathic manipulations that have been administered given properly? (A) Will this be reversed; that is, the order of the applications, that first the system take internally those properties as outlined, then the manipulations given, these will work together and make BOTH MORE effective.

20. (Q) How shall I overcome lassitude? (A) By the supplying to the system all the necessary elements that allow the body to govern its own activities through its own MENTAL abilities; for these are good!

21. (Q) What should the body do in case of acute illness as a result of this particular condition? (A) Will these treatments be given, or followed, there will be little or no acute spasmodic conditions arising in either the lung or the nasal from the conditions, see? for these work with and remove the causes, while much as has been applied has been for effects rather than causes.
