1. GC: You will have before you Dr. James R. Parker, present in this room. In relationship to the Cayce Hospital, you will tell us if he is suited and in ability adapted to serve in the medical department of this institution. You will answer questions concerning same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the mind, and the abilities, Dr. James R. Parker, present in this room. Also those needs and those conditions and relations as respecting Cayce Hospital. The relationships, the conditions, as regarding this, would be both compatible, good, and would be for the better conditions of each. In considering such relations, there are many conditions to be considered. There is not only the adaptability of the individual to that being attempted, but the ability of the individual to apply self in that direction, or in that which is being attempted to be manifested through that institution. There should be, then, that full conviction in self by such an one as Parker, as to the sincerity, the verity, and the ABILITIES of those as are associated with the undertaking to carry out that which is being attempted to be manifested. There is also that necessity for the individual to so attune self from the spiritual effect that must be instilled in the individual TO WHOM such applications may be made, as would come under the supervision of the individual; for it is not ALL of life to live, nor yet all of death to die - for in the midst of death one is in the midst of life, and it behooves one, then, that their own individual life be such that it - their life - is compatible to those tenets, those teachings, those principles, as would be set up by the application of self's efforts toward the individuals whom one would attend. Ready for questions.
3. (Q) What arrangements should be made? Should Dr. Parker live in the institution or be on the staff as a visiting physician? (A) On staff at present.

4. (Q) What future would this individual have in this institution? (A) THIS depends, as has just been seen, in the individual - for, as given, much is yet to be accomplished, much is to be gained for self in satisfaction of self and self's service rendered to a peoples; for not only the PHYSICAL welfare of the individual, but for the moral, the spiritual life, as well. One that does not consider such conditions, well that they do not associate themselves with such an undertaking - for they will be run over! One putting the hand once to the plow and looketh back, is worse than the infidel. Then, be fervent in purpose, instant in prayer, ever serving in a manner that self will ever be willing and anxious to meet self's own endeavors at the next corner; for, as one serves, so does the future - or that in life - bring to one so serving; for - that sown, that shall one reap, and God is not mocked, for one that serveth his fellowman lendeth to the Lord.
5. (Q) Any further suggestions or advice? (A) Would the body Parker, then, associate self with such an undertaking, satisfy self of the REASONABLENESS of the service, and then apply self in the way that the body would like, desire, wish, to be served. We are through.
