1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions; also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now we find while the body is very good in many respects, physical and mental, yet there are those conditions that cause distress in the body at times, and there are those conditions of which the body should be warned that corrections be made before there are those resultant conditions that would bring greater distresses in the physical forces of the body.

4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them, and how these may be corrected in this body [4450].

5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this very good, yet somewhat deficient in the blood count. In the constituents and elements, when divided, we find there is lack of sufficient of the leukocyte to meet the needs of the forces necessary to destroy all foreign bacilli that is necessary to be destroyed in the system. The cause or production of this is of various conditions and reasons. One of the things that it is necessary to meet this for - at the present time - is for that condition as is produced by the change of the temperatures on the body's reaction and the cycle of development for same that brings about that condition wherein the mucus membrane of the throat, nasal cavity, is overcharged, or supercharged, and this irritation is a lack of sustenance within the system to meet the needs, or the excess of that as produces the condition IN these portions of the body. In this particular case we find it the lack of that necessary to destroy that produced in the system by the condition existent in the system, or - in other words, in a more scientific manner - it would be put, the metabolism of the body is in the inactive manner for the body, or this is unbalanced.

6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, here we find the seat of the

4450-1 Page 2

trouble. We also find those of which the body should be warned. This existent trouble in the nerve system, then, radiates from the 4th and 5th cervical, and the 5th and 4th dorsal. These actions on the nerve system, by the subligations that are caused here (by lateral lesions of a minor nature) produce in the system those conditions wherein - as the resultant effect to the central nerve system, to the face and head, to the lungs, through that connection between the sympathetic and the cerebrospinal, in the region of the secondary cardiac plexus center - in the 4th dorsal and the 4th and 5th cervical centers produce this inactivity or strain of which the system is not capable to produce the necessary conditions in the blood to over balance the condition - hence the overtaxation. This, as is seen, produces the continual secretions from nose, eyes, and tendency to sneeze, and the irritation to the body. That as the resultant condition of which the body is to be warned, is the effect same is producing on the digestive system, and especially to the cardiac end of the stomach, which is tending to sag - the stomach itself. NOT as ordinarily dropped down from the pyloric end, but dropped down or sag from the cardiac end. Hence there may be expected later on, unless this condition is corrected, the trouble with those conditions - as too much acid, and lacerations and ulcerations, or both, in the stomach and intestine. Then, better correct same at present under those conditions in which it may be corrected, than to allow it to run on so long that it will bring about that condition which will be hard to meet in that state, see?

7. The action of the organs in the body is very good, save as these over stimulations through these portions of system at present.

8. To meet these at the present time we would, then, osteopathically correct those conditions in the cerebrospinal system, and with the gentle manipulation as comes between we would bring about that contraction and that relaxation along the central system that will bring the more normal forces to this body.

9. Being consistent, being persistent, in the diet and in the acts of the physical body to keep it physically fit. PHYSICAL exercise. The mental exercise is good - but the PHYSICAL exercise is necessary to keep the physical body fit. That of setting-up exercises morning and evening. MORNING for the lower portion of body. Evening for the upper portion of body. Reversing this, as it were, in this individual - but this necessary for the activity as is seen.

10. In the diet, do not eat too much meats. Twice to three

4450-1 Page 3

times a week the body may take mutton or beef, but do not eat gross meat, or hog meat, or any that is extraordinarily fat. Leans - but not fried meats EVER, see? Green vegetables a plenty.

11. Take the osteopathic manipulations, then, and keep the inhalant handy that will prevent these secretions while corrections are being made, of THIS nature:

12. To four (4) ounces of pure grain alcohol, add: Eucalyptol...................20 minims, Atropine, dissolved.........1/4 grain, Rectified Oil of Turp........10 minims, Benzoin.......................5 minims, Canadian Balsam, or Balsam of Fir.......10 minims, Rectified Creosote............5 minims, Tolu in solution.............35 minims.

13. Keep this in glass container with glass cork or stopper. Have container at least three times the size of solution. Shake solution just before inhaling. Inhale through nostril and through the mouth, see? Inhale this three to four times each day.

14. Do that. We will find we will bring better conditions and will bring about corrections of conditions in this body, and - as will be seen after the change in the temperature, with these corrections - not so much cold will be taken, not so much inconvenience will be felt by the variations in cold feet and in cold hands, or in clamminess that comes to the body from time to time - tendency to perspire in evenings, or the easy inclination to have hot and cold flashes that occur under certain existent circumstances for the body.

15. Do that.

16. We are through for the present.
