1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4461]. Now, we find there are some specific conditions that cause disorders in the system, and there are some effects produced that have been at times called or termed the causes. As WE find, some of the more serious indications are results and NOT causes, and were those corrections made for conditions as PRODUCE disorders many another condition would disappear. These, as we find, have to do (the causes) with the eliminating system, and conditions produced there in their return causing other disorders that are of a greater or lesser disturbance in the system.
2. These, then, are conditions as WE find them with this body, [4461] we are speaking of:
3. First, the BLOOD SUPPLY indicates that disturbance in the liver itself, in the inability to function either as the excretory forces demand or as the secretive forces demand. These conditions, however, have been produced as much by the adherence of conditions in the intestinal tract as of the organ's disturbance itself. So, one produces the other - but THESE conditions must be considered together when applications would be made that would be of a PERMANENT relief to the body. The blood supply shows a heaviness, lack of the proper distribution or that thrown into the system to make for the proper eliminations, drosses being carried back into the system cause or produce the disturbances, or that hardened condition, or tendency towards same, or spotted conditions as exist in liver, and THIS in turn gives that effect to the circulation as produces those distresses in the heart's activity itself, though no ORGANIC condition exists there. Also in the region of the duodenum there is shown a tendency for FULLNESS, and the area as should be covered by the digestive forces in system are not PROPERLY distributed, or are SMOOTH rather than of their proper relationship. In the caecum region, not as of appendicitis or of that as causes for that
4461-1 Page 2
disorder in this region as ordinary. There are those adhesions that are produced by the lack of proper peristaltic MOVEMENTS through the system, this causing a thinning of the walls and the attempts to produce the proper eliminations through the intestines, aiding the blood - with those foods taken, and with the properties taken - to make or cause adhesions. This has raised the pressure in the blood supply. This has caused those temperatures to rise at times. This makes for those pains as felt in the lower part of the stomach or the duodenum, and in the bowels themselves - see? This also produces that condition, or that heaviness in the blood supply in which there are at times great variations as to the numbers in white cell and in red blood cell. This causes the nausea, the pains in shoulders and arms, and - as has been termed at times - an acute condition, or that of angina pectorins. This, as we find, is a RESULT - not a cause, though the RESULTS may be VERY detrimental to the body unless corrections are made.
4. In the NERVE SYSTEM, we find these have been allayed or assuaged often by the use of properties as to produce a sedative effect to the nervous system. This has made a tendency for some of the larger ganglia in the system to become in a form or manner, as it were, deadened to the conditions; so we have in the extremities at times as of a pulsation in the body itself - that is, the structural portion - feet, hands, tend to feel full, stiff, as does the shoulder, the lower portion of the back, through the shoulders and under the shoulder blades, around the neck, this fullness in the face at times, with the blood flow to the head; that tendency towards shortness of breath is a result of the NERVOUS reactions in the system. This wholly sympathetic condition, or produced by that of hindered FUNCTIONING of organs.
5. In the functioning of the ORGANS themselves, these are much as has been described as how these are disturbed. There are those disorders, to be sure, from the lower hepatic circulation as related to the kidneys in their eliminations; for with the disturbance in the liver area, with the disturbance for the excretory and secretive functioning of the liver itself, we find these show an excess of those drosses, and clayey or reddish sediment forms in urine - a heaviness in the kidneys; these are results, NOT causes - though causes may arise from such disturbances.
6. Now, in meeting the needs of the conditions as we find them for this body, [4461] we are speaking of, these - we find - will be hard to be dealt with unless there may be
4461-1 Page 3
gained something of a sympathetic feeling for those applications as have been outlined for the body. Would be well, then, that first those who are in sympathy with those sources of this information make overtures in a PROPER way and manner; NOT as of something out of the ordinary, NOT as someone attempting to rule or direct, but rather as one feeling the interest in, the seriousness of the situation and conditions, offering a channel for proper corrections. These also will be of some trouble to handle out of an institution, yet these MAY be properly done - as we find - even in the home, will the time, the patience, the precautions necessary be taken for same to be handled, see? THIS, as WE find, would bring a nearer NORMAL reaction through the system, requiring time, requiring persistence, and requiring the PATIENCE.
7. First we would begin with RESTING of the body for at least ten days, see? Go to bed! Apply over the liver AREA those hot castor oil packs. Keep them up for at least two to three hours each day, see? During that period also we would take all the OLIVE oil the body WILL assimilate, in SMALL doses - half a teaspoonful every two hours whenever the body is awake. We would, every SECOND day - that is, a day lying between the two - apply those packs of Epsom salts saturated solution across the CAECUM, see? that's the lower intestine here, you see, or the large intestine - especially in the right side, across the bladder and across the kidney area - for twenty to thirty minutes each day, just once a day - you see - during that period, and every other day, until there is the full reaction from the liver and a drainage from the whole intestinal tract. There will be found that during that period there will be some nausea, some pains as of gas, some as of passages of blood - and some may appear even in the stool, but those of the whole intestinal system would be CLEANSED by this. During that period there should be given only such as THIS as the food values:
8. Fruit juices of mornings. Rolled oats or of whole-grained cereals during the noontime. Of evenings there may be given broths, with brown bread, and a little stimuli as of coffee, tea or milk. Not a great deal of foods to be given, but practically all of these are BLOOD building nature - yet a TENDENCY for proper elimination.
9. After there has been a full cleansing, we would then CHANGE as to the treatments. We would give every other day an eighth grain of the animated ash, and apply over the liver area - and over the central portion of the body - the ultra-violet ray, thirty to forty minutes after each dosage
4461-1 Page 4
of the ash is taken, see? Then begin with a little heavier diet. It may be necessary during the first ten days that high enemas be given to assist in REMOVING the feces from the system, that is PRODUCING the great troubles - see? ALSO, when the ash and the ultra-violet are given, begin with those of the osteopathic manipulation and adjustments through the whole system, and we will find we will bring a better and a nearer normal condition for the body.
10. Drink all the water as is desired during this period of taking the packs or the oil internally. Ready for questions. We will find that this will reduce those pressures, and there will be no return of those contractions. There will be nausea, and there will be pains through the whole intestinal system, but THIS - as we find - will be much better than operative measures; for the blood supply, the whole condition is in no way in a position for operative or strong internal medicinal measures. We are through for the present. Copy to Mrs. J. C. Boggs " " Ass'n file
