1. GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [4470], present in this room, and the problems which confront this individual at this time, especially that of selecting the specific phase of his work in which he can render the greatest service, the place and associates for same. Please give advice and guidance to him under the present situation, and answer the questions which he will ask you regarding all phases of his life.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [4470], present in this room, and those conditions and circumstances that confront the body at this time.

3. In the body-physical, this we find very good in many respects. There are some minor conditions at present that should be looked after, that the expressions of self and the abilities of self may not be hindered in the future. These, as we find, have to do with some specific conditions that are arising in the system, especially as related to the eliminations and the effect that conditions have had, do have, upon portions of the system in this respect. There is the beginning, or a form of prolapsus in the descending colon. This, as we find, may be best relieved by some corrections being made in the lower and sacral region.

4. In the matters or conditions that confront the body respecting those conditions, those surroundings through which the body may serve the better, in the ways that are in keeping with that the body despises to express or manifest:

5. While the conditions have become acute, apparently, in some respects in the present field of endeavor, in the present localities of the body may the greater contentment come to the body, especially in the developments that will come for the way in which the body may give expression, and give those efforts for expression of the abilities that are within the body's scope of work or activity. While in the immediate future there may come those circumstances that would apparently be contradictory to these conditions, we will find that soon there will be the way opened, and that

the body will find the associations, the connections, the relations, satisfactory in EVERY sense, and the peace of mind from within, the contentment that comes from service well given, will repay fourfold. Ready for questions.

6. (Q) Does the greatest opportunity lie in teaching, directing theatrical productions, or in personal appearances before the public as a dramatic artist? (A) This should be RATHER a combination, for in the personal appearances, these give an exemplification - or manifestation - of the abilities, and awaken within those in whom talent has lain, or is dormant, or innate, the DESIRE of self-expression in a given way and manner; also the teaching, the personal direction, the personal ministration to the various needs of individuals, gives the body-mind itself that ability of expansion that brings to the body itself an enfoldment, an unfolding IN the lives of others the abilities aroused.

7. (Q) Will the best opportunity for me develop in Tidewater, Va., New York, Chicago or California, or is it best in some other place? (A) In Tidewater, Virginia as we would find, for - as is seen - there are those influences that make for an unfoldment in this portion of the country as a whole, that DOES not, WOULD not, exist in such a completement in any other portion of the country. While it may be found necessary to make excursions into various portions of the country, and in some respects this may appear to require a great deal of effort and vitality on the part of the body at this portion of its experience in the earth's plane, yet SERVICE requires the EXPENDING of self IN that manner that will bring the most to the most PEOPLE, the most individuals, and in the rest periods - or in those relaxations that come from a work well done - THIS, THIS surrounding, offers that which will build up the faster; or it may be termed in another manner, in which the body, the mental forces, may choose for itself. The years in this experience in Tidewater would outnumber in other portions of the country by at least a quarter of a century.

8. (Q) Name and tell me how I may contact an individual who will be able to write special original sketches or plays for me to use in public productions. (A) There are many channels through which such may be obtained. Would be WELL that the body make CONTACT through at least two, three, or even more such channels. These may be obtained through many of the guilds in various centers where those of advanced, mediocre, or even unknown producers - or WOULD BE writers - are showing or PRESENTING to such

groups THEIR efforts, and in such a way not only would the body find such materials as desired but wold gain, maintain, and receive from such groups an impetus that, with that portion of the country, would far surpass in many another field; for THIS surroundings, as the developments come in the next few years, will show the conditions or position as of this nature: It is too far north to be termed wholly of a southern nature, yet too far south to be wholly overshadowed by the New England or middle or north Atlantic portions of such endeavors, and sufficiently close to all fields of endeavor of this nature as to make it an IDEAL surrounding for such works - see?

9. (Q) Any special guild that he should contact? (A) As is indicated from this, those through the Carolinas, even as far as Georgia, also in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey.

10. (Q) Name and tell me how to contact an individual who will manage and present me for public appearances. (A) There are many channels also through which such an one may be obtained. Would be WELL that this be chosen through one of the groups in the clubs or guilds in the greater centers - see?

11. (Q) Could I reasonably expect success taking a play production on the road under the booking management of Harry Culbertson, of 5525 Blackstone Ave., Chicago, Ill? (A) A portion of same might be expected to be VERY, VERY, satisfactory, until certain portions of the country are reached which are more of the southern portion, of the middle or eastern west. Then keep away from that portion. More through the Carolinas (both), and toward the eastern shore. Don't get too far from big bodies of water!

12. (Q) Would I be well advised in considering accepting an offer to instruct salesmen of Ford automobiles under the management of Mr. Trant of Trant Motor Co., Inc., Norfolk, Va.? (A) Be well to consider same. This as a fill-in, to be sure.

13. (Q) Would it be best to leave my sons in the schools in which they are now, under present arrangements, or would it be best in the future to have them directly under my authority? (A) In the immediate future let them remain. In the changes that will come in the next terms, and in the changes that will be apparent, would be well for them to be nearer under the personal direction; not to overshadow them, for - while their abilities lie in quite different directions - the basis or the fusing of their abilities into crystallization of their life's work would be well to be directed by the body itself. Reason with, not contend with.

14. (Q) Am I justified in planning to remain at Atlantic University? (A) Remain.

15. (Q) What would be the possibility for my success in New York, and when should I seek a connection there? (A) If for temporary, why this may be done at most any period. Rather the connection should be THERE as assistance for the endeavors in the centers, or center, in which the body should - or, as we find, would be better adapted to gain better impetus from, and - most of all - years and contentment from.

16. (Q) Through whom should I seek recognition in New York? (A) Through those connections already had would be the better.

17. (Q) To whom may I wire for a recital engagement either the night before or the night after my booking at Defiance, Ohio, on the 20th of this month, near this town? (A) Any, or the one through whom the approach is made to THIS particular field. That's not definite? There are individuals, and a group, who are - as it were - attempting to induce the body to consider the conditions of this portion, or this vicinity - see? Then, through this same channel, or through this same group, the BOOKING may be made.

18. (Q) Is there anyone in Dayton, Ohio, that I should approach? (A) There are many that might be approached, but through this same group in Defiance, let THAT connection be made in Dayton - see?

19. (Q) Would it be advisable for me to accept the position of director of dramatic department of the Conservatory of Music conducted in Norfolk, Va., by the Misses Ewell? (A) Be very good.

20. (Q) Any further advice that will be of benefit to this body at this time? (A) Much might be said as respecting the efforts of the body in the various fields of endeavor, yet will the body harken to the voice from within - as it prepares itself for the various efforts in the varied directions - there will be the giving of the proper motive forces in the activities, as well as the next step in EVERY direction.
