1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4472]. Now, we find there are disturbing forces in the physical body. These conditions, as we find, are of both specific and reflex nature. They have to do with conditions as exist from disorders in the digestive system, in the nervous system, and EFFECTS as are produced in the body FROM these.
2. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [4472] we are speaking of:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY - This we find subnormal in many respects. There is a form of anemia, though there is not always an unbalanced condition in the blood itself. This, however, is often impoverished from toxic forces as exist in the system, so there is an unbalancing of the system in the attempt to create that that would care for the eliminating of the disorder in the blood stream itself. When this takes place we have an impoverishment to the organs and to the functioning portion of the organs themselves, so that we have the over abundance of impulses in some directions and the lack of functioning impulse in other directions, as we shall see.
4. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM we find those of a specific nature that adds, or aids and abets the disorders as are apparent, and the basis of many of the disorders may be corrected by the stimuli to nerve impulse in various centers where the impingement has prevented the normal flow of the impulse form ganglia in the system. These, as we find in specific centers, are in the lower lumbar - 3rd and 4th; in the 8th and 9th dorsal, and especially in the 3rd, 4th and 5th cervical. The reflexes from these impulses are to produce in the lumbar region, or across the small of the back, those of the backache, those of a disorder in the eliminations, those tendencies for the feeling of a heaviness and a swelling in the lower limbs, the feet tired, burning sensations over the body, as reflexes in the circulation from that impingement in the 8th and 9th dorsal area. This also, in its reflex to the cervical area, brings those of
4472-1 Page 2
heaviness in the head, especially on top of the head, as of weights on the head. These are reflexes, and by the REMOVAL of those pressures, and by the stimuli to the circulation, nerve circulation as well as blood circulation, we will allow the body to REST better, so that in the resuscitating forces as is maintained and attained through normal sleep will bring a much bettered condition for the body. This will also prevent those hot and cold flushes as the body experiences at times.
5. Now, in the FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, we find there are specific hindrances from those subligations in the lumbar, the dorsal, and the cervical area, as is evidence by those in the throat, bronchi and lungs, oftentimes as of an overflow of the SECRETIONS from same. AGAIN we will find the effect as of a dryness in this area, a feeling of burning in the stomach itself proper, from those of gases as form by the improper impulse of circulation to the emunctory and capillary through this portion, by the EFFECT as is produced in the organs themselves, from the 8th and 9th dorsal centers. As the condition is produced in the stomach, this we find as of that of regurgitation of too much acid, by the improper assimilation and eliminations through the alimentary canal.
6. The heart's action, as we find, is of a reflex nature, and with the stimuli as may be received through the removal of the pressure in this portion of the system will bring TO the body a bettered condition in this direction.
7. The liver torpid in its activity, though not ORGANICALLY as an organ deranged; rather in the functioning thereof.
8. There is a tendency for the accumulations of poisons from the colon itself. There HAS been periods when the body suffered from colitis, or colon irritation, and the feces as are seen in portions of the system, or the accumulations as come through this portion of the system, is from that of the tendency of the lack of the movements in the system as regarding this, as well as tendency towards that of inflammation; not so much, as to have other than an abnormal pulse and a TENDENCY without too much temperature, though there has been periods when temperature existed. This creates a form of strept in the blood supply that makes for the dryness, or this tendency for inactivity in the liver. It may be termed malarial, yet it is more that of a strept nature.
9. In meeting, then, the needs of the conditions of this body, [4472] we are speaking of, we would find that with the corrections osteopathically, or chiropractically - PROVIDED the chiropractic is more of the manipulative nature than
4472-1 Page 3
JUST corrections, that the relief would be ALMOST of IMMEDIATE relief to the body - but we will find that to REDUCE the susceptibility will be necessary that those of the high colonic irrigations should be given occasionally. We would take one every other week until four are taken, THEN they may be taken once a month until six or eight are taken. This will aid in RELIEVING this toxic force and allowing the blood supply also to clarify.
10. We would take, after there has been the SECOND of the colonics, those of a tonic that will aid in removing this tendency for irritation in the skin, clarifying the blood forces in such a way and nature as to relieve toxic forces in the system. Prepare these in this way and manner:
11. To 1/2 gallon of distilled water we would add: Wild Cherry Bark........2 ounces, Sarsaparilla Root.......2 ounces, Yellow Dock Root........1 ounce, Burdock Root..........1/2 ounce, Prickly Ash Bark......1/2 ounce, Elder Flower............4 ounces.
12. Reduce this by simmering, or slow boiling, to 1 quart - see? Strain while this is warm and add 2 ounces grain alcohol, with 1 dram Balsam of Tolu cut in same. We would then add to this, Oil of Sassafras 5 minims, Tincture of Capsici 2 minims. Shake the solution together before the dose is taken, which would be half a teaspoonful 4 times each day.
13. In the matter of the diet, we would take as these - though this may be altered from time to time to meet the needs of the conditions of the body. Beware that not too much pastry or of confection are taken, though there will be periods when there will be the unusual desire for such.
14. Mornings - citrous fruit juices, or stewed fruits, or fresh fruits, with a little sugar and crame. Do not have the fruit juices - that is, the citrous fruit juices - with those of the cereals, but these should be taken at different periods.
15. Noons - dry toast, with vegetable soups, or broths of meats that do not have hog meats with same. Also the fresh vegetables GREEN may be taken at this period.
16. Evenings - cooked vegetables, well balanced. Not too much meats, but these may be taken occasionally - especially those of fowl or wild game, but NO hog meats at any time.
17. If we will follow these lines, we will find we will bring a great improvement for this body, and in a few months almost normalcy.

18. The manipulations and corrections we would have at least two or three times each week.
19. We will find that it will be well also that occasionally there be given the vibrations from the electrical driven vibrator just before retiring in the evenings, that it may make the body rest the better. When these vibrations are given, these should be GENERAL over the whole cerebrospinal system, but SPECIFICALLY they should be given in the upper portion of the SACRAL region, in the solar plexus center, and THEN at the 2nd and 3rd cervical. We will find these will bring rest to the body. Ready for questions.
20. (Q) Do I drink sufficient water? (A) With taking of these properties, and plenty of salt but not peppers in those of the foods that are taken, more water WILL be taken. Not sufficient is taken. As we will find, especially in this district, Columbus, that were there added oftentimes a small pinch of elm to the drinking water this would aid in the digestive forces of the body, just a pinch between the fingers added and stirred into the glass of water about three to four minutes before it is drunk.
21. (Q) What causes me to have an appetite out of the ordinary? (A) The natural effect of those conditions within the system where the impoverishment of the blood calls for continually, through the digestive forces, those to supply the needs of the body. This a form of anemia.
22. (Q) Do I have a tape worm? (A) No!
23. (Q) Why is it that I have difficulty getting sufficient sleep? (A) Those pressures in those portions of the system that tend to produce the tendency of the IRRITATING feelings, the tendency of feelings of MOVEMENTS from within and without about the body. The PRESSURES as are created in the cerebrospinal nervous system and they are gradually affecting the SYMPATHETIC system - which must break down under the strain sooner or later, unless corrections are made.
24. (Q) When walking or riding, what causes a scum to come over the eyes, making objects blurred? (A) Poor circulation from those portions in the cervical, as indicated.
25. (Q) What is the trouble with my forehead between the eyes, more noticeable when I have a cold? (A) This disturbance in the circulation from the dorsal and the cervical regions, as has been indicated, needs correction for the perfecting of a proper circulation through the body.

With these corrections as have been outlined, we will find these disorders will disappear. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " File
