1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
2. We find in the system of this body here, [4479] we are speaking of, some conditions that are abnormal that may be corrected. There are some abnormal conditions in this body that have become normal conditions by the setting up of various diverted actions of the functioning organs. These then are the conditions as we find them: first in the blood or life-giving force in the system we find at the present time a change in the vibrations of the blood flow, with a difference in the effect of the capillary circulation, which has been suddenly diverted or predisposed from its exterior effects, carrying to the capillary circulation diffused forces that will, and that are, gradually being assimilated; which should be eliminated from the system through other channels. That is the effect to the system by the high state of capillary respiration has induced these impurities to start their elimination improperly, when they should be eliminated through the secretive organs in the system in their regular way. This is not a functional disorder that would cause abnormal conditions, but is an abnormal condition in this body here.
3. We find that from some time back the distribution of the blood force in the system has come to certain organs in an improper manner to eliminate the used forces in these portions of the body; that is those especially through the head that have to do with the sensory organs and its functioning; and the blood force needed to rebuild cellular units, or protoplasmic cells in the body itself if lacking, so the used force remains in an improper place and has built up a thickening or tissue that has disturbed these cells in their functioning, and an improper action of the entire sensory system is reached, or an improper supply of blood force to the brain that acts back with a corresponding effect to the organs of hearing; the ears we are speaking of now, you see? The ducts and channels and functioning organs to produce the various vibrations of sound to the body itself by this condition, that is the thickening, have become inadequate to hear, and this condition has become set up. And in addition to this the blood cells that carry

temperature, or inactive cellular force, waylays or inhibits the nervous gangular [ganglia?] so that the blood force in going along does not relieve. The nervous gangular [ganglia?] being affected in turn reacts on the blood supply, which becomes lax in its muscular functioning and so does not carry the force in its proper condition.
4. The venous blood flow to the head is normal, while the arterial force becomes over stimulated by this condition in the system, carries more than is needed to these portions of the body. Then treatment to the organs themselves has been of a nature that has caused destruction to the cellular or organic functioning of these organs. This in one organ, that is the left ear, could be brought to a normal condition considering the rest of the body, if treated properly. That is by treating the condition and not the effect in the system through this form or manner: by manipulation, through osteopathic force, the nerves encased in the muscular force along the spine and those that have effect in the throat and in the mouth above the palate, and from the mouth to the ear, giving incentive to the nerve force through muscular relaxation to produce sufficient circulation to relieve, or carry off through the proper channels, the used forces in this portion of the system. It will be necessary from time to time, where the incisions have been made, to keep those cleansed, so that the proper elimination may be carried on throughout the system. The treatment to relax these portions of the body may appear too severe at first and seem to produce more trouble with all of the organs affected, yet from the reaction will come the proper distribution and assistance to elimination in this body, and his hearing will return to him better than before. But this must be treated properly, or along the lines here outlined; internally from the throat and by relaxation to the whole system from the third or fourth dorsal to the head muscles, the nervous system, and the whole upper portion of the body.
5. (Q) Question: Will the hearing in the right ear be returned to normal, Mr. Cayce? (A) We will return some portion of this to normal, but not the whole sense of sound, as this ear has been punctured.
6. (Q) Question: How long before the left ear is returned to normal, Mr. Cayce? (A) From 5 to 8 weeks.
7. (Q) Question: How frequently should this treatment be given, Mr. Cayce? (A) Every other day for the manipulation. Every 5th to 6th day for the douche to the ears themselves, or oftener if

necessary, because some soreness will result; but be very sure to use antiseptics throughout, alkalines will be necessary to this system, something in the form of alkaloids.
8. (Q) Question: Will Dr. Hurd be the physician to treat this, Mr. Cayce? (A) It should be one that understands fully the relationship between the physical and the vibratory condition of soul force in a physical body; and the effect that it must have on organs that have become distressed by the expectancy of inactivity. We would not say that Dr. Hurd was the one.
9. (Q) Question: Are there any other details for this body, Mr. Cayce? (A) Only follow these as given here, if these organs are treated in the proper manner, and if we keep all of these cells and forces vibrating through this manipulation, and through the cleansing as given here, we will find that the hearing will return to this body. Do that.
10. We are through.
