Time of Reading ... Ave., Unknown. Cincinnati, Ohio. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: We have in this case before us a peculiar circulation or a lack of circulation to the front lobe of the brain; it seems to be cut off in some manner; it goes so far and won't go any farther; seems to have a depressing action on the mind; where the mind would expand under present conditions, it seems hampered. The portion affected in this case seems to be the frontal lobe almost entirely; the circulation is also impeded by a lack of nerve force at its exit at the base of brain.

2. This condition is all reflex from troubles in the trunk of the body. The trouble in this patient began first by reflex conditions that existed, or was brought about in the lumbar region and in the pelvis. This condition affected the locomotor muscles, or the muscles of locomotion and the nerves to the lower extremities.

3. We have two nervous systems in the [a] body. In this body, there is a lack of coordination in the nervous system. We find trouble in the solar plexus, which lies immediately behind the stomach; this nerve center has considerable influence through the sympathetic system, with past and present conditions. This patient is sick all over at times - the whole nervous system being affected from the tip of the spine to the top of the head, due to this unstable equilibrium of the nervous system, and, consequently, of the circulation. The digestion is bad on account of what is taken into it, partly, and partly because of reflex conditions that exist or have existed in the pelvic organs. She is nervous and sick all over.

4. TREATMENT: First, her nervous system is in such a condition that quiet is an absolute necessity, even though you have to resort to the use of opiates, but do not use opiates unless absolutely necessary.

5. We can keep this patient from brooding over her troubles, and melancholy conditions, or perhaps losing her mind entirely, if we get busy right now. She needs stimulation through the lower part of the body by electricity or manipulation, in order to bring about reaction from the

condition existing in the brain and the pelvis. This will have to be done gradual, as the system is not sufficiently strong to undergo radical treatment, else, we may destroy the whole reasoning power, if brought about too suddenly. Along the spine, at the third cervical vertebrae, we need relaxation by manipulation, and by animal heat from the outside in order to relax the whole system. Get rest, even though sedatives through the stomach have to be resorted to.

6. After we get relaxation, and as the body gets back to its working state, use suggestion, powerful suggestions, because this patient is susceptible to suggestion. As to diet, that must be looked after carefully. The blood pressure also must be watched. Splenic action is still very poor. Good nourishing diet is necessary; and eggs and whiskey will probably stimulate as well as anything. Continuing with the treatment, following the suggestion as outlined before, get this body under control; internally, use sedatives if necessary; get the stomach right by proper diet - also aurum metallicum [auri chloridum, gold chloride?] and soda as an internal medicine.
