1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Now, we find there are abnormal conditions in this body. Some we find are of minor consequences when the seat or the cause of the troubles are removed. These we see produce, or are the seat of those forces that give distress in the system, are from conditions that have existed in times back and affect directly the vital portions in the tissue and in the organs as function against, as it were, the distresses as are produced in the system.
3. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body. First:
4. We would give as this: Pathologically speaking, we have a very interesting study in this body as to how functioning organs function under distressed conditions through the mental abilities of the body to resist against physical action in the system.
5. Then, in the blood supply, we find these conditions: This is above normal in supply, though subnormal in its flow. Hence the distressed condition as occurs in the body by a slow pulsation, though no organic conditions produced as yet in the heart's action, though below normal in its pulsation.
6. In the elements and constituents of the blood, then, we find this not drained or strained, as might be termed, in the eliminating organs of the system. Hence we have the dull tired feeling occurring over the body, especially after rest. When the body should be rested it feels tired in gaining the equilibrium for locomotion of any character in the body, yet we find the will often overcomes the condition and the body, through sheer will force, forces itself to function and to gain a kind of equilibrium throughout the
4544-1 Page 2
circulation. Then we have a deep circulation high. A hepatic circulation low. A capillary circulation very slow.
7. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in this we find that in times back the body was much more of a nervous temperament than at present, for there are deep seated lesions that have in part deadened, as it were, the nerve reaction. These, especially, we find in the lower lumbar region, and especially on the left side. This gives the mesenteric system the whole heaviness as is produced on this side, and at times the form of a catchy or acute pain, though of a general distributed nature. These, we see, are produced from lesions as have been formed in the pelvic region. In the reflexes then as this produced, or has produced (and now we have the effect of that as the system has attempted to adjust itself), first there was create inflammation through the lower portion of the intestinal system. With the sluggish circulation as produced by the retarded conditions, we had a form of anemia through the colon and the lower portion of the intestines. This then produces the constipation from which the body suffered at times. These conditions have been bettered locally, though the system, the cause of these conditions remains in the system, and now, as it were, sap the vitality of the blood supply. Hence the dullness in the functioning of the system through all drosses in the body. Then from this we have had a form of toxin as produced, both of uric toxin and of the intestinal toxins, which produces the poisons to the fibre or tissue in mesenteric system, in the jejunum of the intestines themselves, and this gives the dullness, the lack of vitality in the whole trunk portion of body.
8. In the functioning then of the nerve system under this deadened condition, as it were, we have a reaction through the sympathetic system, yet the will force as is exercised over this shows its effect in the body, and the ability of the system to be rejuvenated, as it were, and be rid of these conditions in the body.
9. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces, as would be seen from the action of the mental forces, exceedingly good. Vital to all portions of the body.
10. In the sensory organisms, we find through nerve centers in portions of the body that have received those shocks to the nerve portion, from the 2nd and 3rd dorsal, to the upper part of the face proper, brings reaction occasionally that cause distresses to all portions of this part of system.
11. In the throat, bronchials, larynx, we have the effect of this circulation and this lack of vital force in body at
4544-1 Page 3
times, produced by dryness to throat, lack of proper secretions. Again over secretions are thrown off occasionally.
12. Lungs very good.
13. Heart's action, as is used as it were by the condition of circulation and poisons in system.
14. Spleen engorged, overaction of the mental forces, with the lack of an equilibrium created in the rest of the digestive system and of blood clarified in the emunctories of the eliminating portions of body.
15. Stomach shows how the effect of reaction has been, and how the lack of the vital forces necessary for the body to assimilate properly that necessary for rebuilding.
16. Liver shows the plethora condition of the organ, overtaxed in its functioning.
17. The digestive system in the intestines strained at most all times. Lack of functioning in the region where Peyer's gland once functioned. Hence in the lacteal ducts we find the inflammation as was once produced in intestines and the soreness across the diaphragm and across the upper portion in left and to the right side comes directly from this inflammation at times.
18. Colon shows the effect of these conditions, as do the organs of the pelvis.
19. Then, to relieve these conditions in this body, and bring them to the normal forces, we would first give as this:
20. Before taking any condition in the system, cleanse the system thoroughly by taking excess quantities of water for three to four days. Then take as this: Syrup of Sarsaparilla..............1/2 ounce, Fluid Extract Stillingia...........1/4 ounce, Fluid Extract Poke Root............1/4 ounce, Fluid Extract Wild Cherry..........1/2 ounce, Fluid Extract Yellow Dock Root.....1/2 ounce. With sufficient Peptotol to make....12 ounces. The dose of this would be half a teaspoonful three times each day.
21. After this has been taken for four to five days (be sure the system is cleansing itself properly, by using high enemas of warm water, or of oil), then begin with deep osteopathic manipulations in the lumbar, dorsal and cervical regions, to correct those conditions and those lesions that are deeply seated, there applying at least once to twice each week those vibrations from electrical heat, as would be
4544-1 Page 4
from rays of Alpine or Rino rays (Mercury Lamps). These would be applied for three to five minutes at each application, and should be at least eighteen to twenty-four inches from the body when applied, depending upon the type of ray used.
22. Doing this, and keeping the diet such as is easily assimilated in the system, we will find we will bring the normal conditions, through persistence, to this body, [4544].
23. Do that.
24. We are through.
