1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Now, we find there are those conditions in the system abnormal that may be corrected, and those that may be only assisted. These, then, are the conditions as we find them in this body that may be assisted and brought to the normal conditions. First:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY we find as these:
4. This full in many respects, yet carries in same many of those bacilli that are detrimental to the functioning of the system, in respect to rebuilding in the body, especially. Hence we find the constituents and elements of the blood deficient, or over supplied in other respects with conditions in the blood stream proper. The hemoglobin itself thickens too much under the effect of pressure, and shows how that at times coagulation takes place too soon in the healing, and again breaks easily. Hence those conditions as are seen in various portions of the system where such is produced form this condition.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this we find depleted, for there are many ganglions that show the effect of conditions in the cerebrospinal and sympathetic system. Principally these are at present in the sympathetic, for there have been some conditions to correct portions in the cerebrospinal, but not so much in sympathetic. In those ganglias, especially, where cerebrospinal and sympathetic join, in the upper cervical, in the central dorsal, and in the whole lumbar region, these are the distressing conditions in the nerve system, and the effect produced then in the functioning organism is more in the region of these lesions, and the condition or connection between same and the circulatory system, both of blood and of lymph. Hence the tissue in the condition as is found in various portions of the body.
6. IN THE FUNCTIONING ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces show the reactions are good.

7. Sensory organism all under strain. All more or less in that condition of being either over supplied or under nourished, and one showing one way, one another - that is, in the auditory and in the sight, in the effect as is produced in the taste, or sense of smell - both working opposite in each instance, see? That is, overtaxed in certain portions, the sense of hearing acute; overtaxed in others the sense of hearing deficient; of sight and of taste deficient, and vice versa in feeling and in the sight and speech.
8. In the throat, bronchials, lungs, larynx, these show the effect of the circulation and of the condition as produced in the glands, through that of the variation in the lymphatic circulation and of an over supplied condition in blood stream, as well as an over stimulation in the sympathetic system.
9. Digestion very poor, save at such times that stimul[i] have been used, which became detrimental to the liver and the mesenteric system, for inflammation is shown through these, in the glands and in the functioning organs. Hence the repression as has been at times to the digestion, especially through the intestines, and the trouble as has arisen from same through the mesenteric system, and especially in the colon, and the overtaxed condition produced in kidneys. The inflammation also, as is created by this disturbance in mesenteric system and through the functioning of the lymph and of the condition in the gland, shows through the mesenteric and in the proper and false pelvic organs. So, we have the deterred (that is, hindered) circulation in the lower limbs. This is assisted in its deterrence, or the lack of circulation proper, by that condition produced in the lumbar region. Hence this condition has been called other conditions than that as is PRODUCED in the lower limbs.
10. Then, to bring about then normal forces, for these that may be corrected, we would have a specific condition to follow. The diet must be looked after in the proper way and manner, and it will take time, patience, a consistent manner of living, consistent way of following out the suggestions, and PERSISTENCE in diet and medicinal properties as may be applied to the body, with other conditions which will be given later on.
11. Take then as this, as medicinal properties:
12. As a rub or massage for the condition in the glands, and a condition as is to be produced in the lymphatic circulation, take as this:
13. Mullein (green) 6 ounces, and put this in 16 ounces of

water (rain water preferable). Reduce by slow simmering - not boiling, but steaming or simmering, to half the quantity. Bruise the leaves when put in the water, see? Press these out. Use the water, with the amount of corn meal (well ground) to make in the form of poultice, see? only don't use it as poultice, but MASSAGE it in the system - in the groin, across the abdomen, across all portions of the system where this condition is shown, as in throat, under arms, in the small of the back - all of the system, see? The LEAVES (as have been pressed out, see?) may be applied AFTER the massage and the bathing off.
14. Take internally as this: 6 ounces of the inner bark of sweet gum tree. Add this to 1 quart of distilled water. Reduce this by simmering to 1/2 the quantity. Strain off. Then add 2 pinches of powdered elm bark, see? Then add to this: Cinnamon water (20% solution).....4 ounces, Oil of Turp......................10 minims. Reduce again by simmering to two-thirds the original quantity - that is, after these are all added, see? Then cut in alcohol Balsam of Tolu 2 drams. Add to solution. Then add: Elixir Calisaya...................1 ounce, Oil of Peppermint.................2 minims, Oil of Sassafras.................15 minims.
15. Shake this solution well together before the dose is taken, which would be a teaspoonful 4 times each day, before each meal and before retiring.
16. Let the diet be of pod vegetable nature, or of everything that grows ABOVE the ground and none that grows UNDER the ground. Little of the meats. The meat JUICES may be used, but none of the meats.
17. Keep the intestinal tract open by using high enemas; drinking plenty of water at ALL TIMES. Keep the system full, even though it may act fully on the kidneys (as portions of this as given will make, see?), but we must flush and cleanse the system.
18. When this has been carried out to the second quantity of the medicinal properties, the rubs kept up - that of the Mullein Water and the Meal (for these rubs should be given at least every other day, see? in the evenings preferably), then we would give from here that which is to be carried out further. Do that for the present then.
19. We are through.
