1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. Now, we find there are specific abnormal conditions with this body, and these conditions in various cycles of the functioning of the organs produce disturbances in the equilibrium of the body.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them in this body, Mrs. [4560], we are speaking of:
5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this very good at most times, yet when this disturbance arises in the equilibrium of the system the blood supply shows the effects of the toxins as are left in the system by the disturbed eliminations, and portions of the organism suffer therefrom.
6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, in this we find the greater cause of the troubles. There are in those centers about the 12th and 11th dorsal those conditions that produce the specific conditions, that in the functioning of the organs as governed by the centers from this portion of the system produce these depressions to the nerve system - the burning sensation as comes to the brain center proper, and the depression over the rest of the system - which affect DIRECTLY the functioning of the kidneys, from the position of the lesions, that affects directly the digestion, for the reflexes from this give rise to the conditions that meet directly with the center of the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus. Hence the disturbed condition as comes to the whole trunk portion of the body. The circulatory system and the pulmonaries become involved through the repression of blood supply in its circulation. Not as the character of the blood, but the character of pressure as produced at such times. The reflexes to the brain center proper produces the burning sensation along the

pineal gland. Hence the repression that appears in the centers of the head, and reaches same through the pressure of the gland at the base of the brain to and through the medulla oblongata, this producing a repression to all the sensory organism, and a burning sensation to the capillary circulation.
7. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, all portions of the system are involved at such periods - these depressions, see? The sensory system, through the repression created in the sympathetic nerve system. The functioning organs, through repression in the cerebrospinal nerve system - as is produced at times pains to the lower end of the spine. These come as throbbing pains.
8. Now, to meet the needs of those conditions at the present time, we would use those of hot packs of salt at such times to the 11th and 12th dorsal, see?
9. And the manipulation through that of the osteopathic adjustments, for adjustments as well as general manipulation will be necessary to bring about the correction of those conditions - relaxing same by the application of heat to this portion of the body before the adjustments are made. Do not attempt to make the full adjustment or to reduce the lesion all at once, for it will require at least twenty-eight (28) such adjustments to bring the body near to the normal condition.
10. After at least twelve to thirteen (12 to 13) such adjustments have been made, we would begin to wear the Radium Appliance across this portion of the body - keeping this there at all times save in the afternoons, when this should be removed - the body lying prone, ON FACE - laying pad across the 1st and 2nd cervical vertebrae. This will create an equilibrium throughout the nerve system, and stimulating the blood stream to that effect of producing normal eliminations, with the stimulated effect of the adjustments given osteopathically.
11. Take at least half of the osteopathic treatments before the using of the appliance. Then wear this when necessary - that is, after the body is relieved of the condition - to keep the normal equilibrium. Do that.
12. (Q) How long should this Radium Appliance be applied to the cervical? (A) For fifteen to twenty (15 to 20) minutes each afternoon, preferably between the hours of three and four. This is the cycle of circulatory change for this particular body.
