1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions; also the treatment for the care and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, we find the body physically and mentally very good in many respects. There are rather those conditions in the physical forces of the body of which the body should be warned and, being forewarned, be forearmed concerning the results that may come to the physical reaction of conditions that are, little by little, taking hold - though at times the system adjusts itself against these conditions.

4. These conditions have to do with some specific conditions as exist in the physical structure and the effect this produces in the functioning of organs through obstructions created in portions of the system, as we shall see, and - being forewarned - these may be easily corrected at the present time, when - were these allowed to become deep-seated, and allowing destructive forces to become accumulative in the system - they would be hard to eradicate, or to bring to normal forces.

5. Now, these are the conditions as we find them in this body, [4580], we are speaking of, present in this room. First:

6. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, while this is very good in many respects, we find that the ability of the blood stream, under the pressure under which it labors, is not giving as much rebuilding cellular force back into the system as it uses. Not considering that as may be termed age, and usage of arterial circulation, and the general debilitation as follows under such conditions - but of the slowing up of the exterior or the capillary circulation at times causes the internal or the deeper organisms to suffer under plethora condition, and the capillary and the lymphatic circulation suffers from a form of congestion. Such results are seen at times when the body feels as if the whole outer skin, or the

4580-1 Page 2

whole capillary circulation, or some given portion of the body - either in extremities or in portion of the body - becomes as irritation, without a rash or any capillary excretion showing. This, as we see, is produced by conditions that exist in the nerve system, and the taxation and the circulation in the exchange in the centers - for, as we see, this condition exists in the human anatomical circulation: Blood thrown from pulmonaries and heart circulates as within the figure eight. In this particular body we see, as it were, the extremities of this circulation slowing up. Hence the blood becoming surcharged. Not that we have a blood condition that would be irritating, but one that does not supply rebuilding or replenishing forces, and the hemoglobin of the blood is low.

7. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM (from which this circulatory condition is produced) we find the seat or cause of these conditions, and these, as we see, are so situated in the body that the sensory organism and the generatory organism, especially, are involved; that is, the creative forces of the body and the higher vibrations to the sensory system are involved first. Hence the subluxations are seen in the 5th cervical center, and in the 2nd and 3rd lumbar plexus. Center in cervical, plexus in lumbar, then, involved. In the reaction of this is to produce the slow return of the circulation through the circulatory forces as supplied from the aorta artery to head, and of the stem artery to the lower portion. These, becoming slowed in their return from arterial to vein circulation, leave drosses in portions of the tissue of the head and of the trunk portion of the body, or to the kidneys proper. Hence that of which the body is to be warned is of destructive forces being built in the system that would hinder in auditory and eyes, and in the kidneys and their normal functioning with the liver.

8. These subluxations as we see in these centers are, or HAVE been, produced - not so much by the deterioration of the injuries as some such conditions are caused or produced, but rather as of a sameness of position, and tendency of the physical body to give way to depressions from such conditions, and we have then a lateral lesion in the 4th and 5th cervical, and a circular lesion in the 2nd and 3rd lumbar.

9. In the reaction, then, to the functioning organs from these conditions, these, as we find, exist. Not as destructive forces as yet, but rather that of improper incentives to functioning organs, and as the result of same indications of this nature within the physical forces of the body.

10. Brain forces of body very good, and as is seen by the functioning of the sympathetic nerve system under these conditions, the body often - through mental strain - distributes distresses over the system, rather than becoming centralized or localized, and through such is able to aid self MATERIALLY in ridding the body of physical conditions; yet the body should remember as this: The body is made up of the physical, the mental, the spiritual. Each have their laws, which work one with another, and the whole is the physical man; yet do not treat physical conditions wholly through spiritual or mental laws and expect same to respond as one. Neither treat spiritual or mental conditions as material; for MIND is the builder, and through the mind APPLICATION of the laws pertaining to physical, mental, and spiritual, one is made ONE with the whole.

11. In the blood supply in the body, this the differentiation between the rebuilding and the replenishing. Hence throat, bronchials, and the whole of the sensory system, becomes involved through the depressions in the cervical region. Not that the eye fails in its reflection, but that there is gradually being accumulated in those tissues that govern directly the vision and the auditory forces (the hearing), that which hinders BOTH in the perfect operation of the physical nature, and physically must be removed.

12. In the pulmonaries, the lungs, the heart's action, these show rather the effect, then, of a condition that is detrimental in the nerve and blood supplies of this body.

13. In the digestive system, this we find capable of being controlled (though not always has it been so) by the mental forces of the body to that condition wherein it (the digestive reaction - that is, the brain forces are connected, as we see, directly through the hypogastrics to the digestive system), the body (and in the mental manifestations of the body this has been controlled to that extent), would be a good dietician for many others as well as for self!

14. In these there is improvement at present, yet a better blood supply, a more uniform and a more cooperative nerve energy in the system, would prove beneficial even to these conditions.

15. In the mesenteric system, and the lower portion of the digestion, these we find at times are under strain, as it were, from those subluxations in the dorsal region. This produces at times those distresses that are of temporary nature through the digestion, in intestinal system, and the old conditions as have existed in the eliminations of the

4580-1 Page 4

body appear as recurrent to body; yet those ABILITIES of the body again show the reaction is better.

16. Then, to meet the needs of the conditions of the body at the present time, we would apply as these forces for the body:

17. First we would have those proper adjustments, osteopathically made, in the cervical and dorsal, and lumbar region. The ADJUSTMENTS necessary in cervical and lumbar. The dorsals - only as the coordinating centers necessary for the correction. These should be made by adjustments given with general manipulation, not oftener than once each week.

18. Then the body, itself, take those regular specific exercises for the head and neck - that is, each evening before rest is taken, work the head forward, backward, side, circular. As the body rises from rest of mornings, the same should be continued or taken again, and COLD water applied to the neck from base of brain to center of shoulders for at least two to five minutes each morning. This will enliven these conditions, with these corrections made - which will take at least eight to ten. Once each week only would we take these, but keeping up these others - until we find the variations in the whole system, such that the eye, the ear, the circulation, the digestion, the eliminations, are made aright.

19. Do that. Ready for questions.

20. (After pause) Do this, as has been given, and we will find the better physical conditions for the body, that the spiritual, the mental, the physical, may manifest the better towards that of the fulfilling of the purpose of the life in this experience.

21. We are through for the present.
