1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. Now, the conditions as we find existent with this body may be termed psycho-diathetic; that is, while there are many complications and many varying conditions arise in the physical functioning of the body, the seat or cause is from a condition existent wherein there is such dilution in the blood as to prevent the replenishing of same, and preventing of same from carrying out its double functioning through the organs of the system - produced by an injury received to the physical body just above the portion of system where the chyle is carried into the ducts from which the blood is taken as new blood back to the system. We have a form of lesion there that prevents the nerve energy from the system carrying out its action in a normal manner. The physical attempt is carried in a portion of the impulse, especially, of the system to reproduce itself through the functioning of the various organs. These not being deficient, except having GROWN so by the inactivity of the system to produce that necessary for the resuscitation from the blood stream, produces what may be termed, then, a psycho condition, or a psychological condition; that is, the impulse from the internal system - through the lesion formed - affecting the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus at the lower end of the stomach, produces then regurgitation and the reaction of the pancrean action in the system - causing, then, this condition as is seen. Hence we have debilitation throughout the body. Tendency to swell in portions where blood is unable to come back to its normal flow, or once in a portion of the body, in other portions we find the appearance as of anaemitized condition, in others again it presents as the plethora condition. The repulses - as is seen in the lungs at times - bad. The throat dry, and tendency to appear as
4605-1 Page 2
if irritation along the bronchials. The effect to the sensory system is very marked, as may be seen from the effect of a psycho condition produced to the sympathetic system in any form, or in any place, yet in this particular place we find comes the appearance of nausea, dizziness, tired easy, deflection in the kidneys - as ALL conditions may be seen from the effect of a disturbance of the nature in this portion of the body.
4. Now, to meet the needs of these conditions, and to bring the near normal forces for the body - and by care and by attention, and by persistency, by consistency through the diet, through the action of the body as respecting itself, through those conditions as may be administered for the bringing about of normal forces for the body - this may be eliminated, or it may be changed so that much better condition would exist throughout the body. Not that the body is entirely inactive, either physically or mentally; yet these constant drains on the system - without the ability to resuscitate - must eventually bring such disturbance, not only functionally but organically, as to be hard to combat with. Do not think that the condition is easy to meet - though this, taken NOW, may be brought nearer to normal through the proper handling of same.
5. Here we find, just below the point of the hip and near the end of the liver, the appearance of a hard cake-like condition - externally speaking. This is the indication as will be seen. No operation would relieve the condition, for in the first place the blood supply nor the nerve system would stand for same, under the existing condition - for coagulation is way below normal within the physical forces of the body, [4605] we are speaking of.
6. The condition then to be met, first we would apply those properties of as hot application of Castor Oil to this side as the body can well stand. While this will produce some distress in the hepatic circulation, and an over abundant activity in the kidneys, this should be kept up (evenings principally), so that the condition may be given impulse from the vibration created by absorption and heat to that portion of the body. Let the acid from same be active below the pancrean reaction, or without going through the intestinal or through the stomach tract and hindering those disturbances already produced in the gastric juices of the stomach proper.
7. Then those centers from which radiate the impulse to this portion of the system - those of the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th dorsal - particularly these, need attention through the deep manipulation, osteopathically given, that again the central
4605-1 Page 3
cerebrospinal nervous system may radiate that impulse as is already in part to the system in an increased way and manner.
8. As for the diet, let that be principally of that as almost pre-digested foods - though as much of raw vegetables as may be well taken, carrying plenty of iron and of salts; such as carrots, celery, lettuce, asparagus very little - but this has a diarrhetic that is good for the system. This, of course, cooked (the asparagus), and let no stimulants of any character - either tea or coffee - be taken, for these would be hard on this portion of the body.
9. After at least thirteen (13) such adjustments and at least fifteen (15) such applications, we will find different conditions existent entirely with the system. Then there will be the necessity of taking into consideration the action of the lower end of stomach and of the liver and the hepatic circulation, in ELIMINATING from the system so much of the used forces that must be assimilated and thrown out through their regular channels; for unless these are considered we may overtax one of the eliminating centers to the destruction or to the harm of another, producing a condition either in kidney, liver or the capillary circulation that would again be hard to deal with. Hence this must be carried principally through the alimentary canal. Not by the ordinary means of cathartics, but rather that of stimulation through the added force of electrical vibration, with the alternated of the water supply to the system, externally and internally. These, however, would best be given when these first applications have been carried out. Do that.
10. Nausea as may be produced, as given - and headaches - do not take sedatives so much, though soda - plain bicarbonate of soda - may be taken in small quantities for same, PROVIDED the foods taken carry sufficient iron and salt and salts, or vegetable and fruit salts. Do not eat apples. Other fruits may be taken in moderation - especially tomatoes.
11. We are through for the present.
