1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, we find the body is a little bettered from conditions which have existed; yet the condition is far from being satisfactory, for that which is causing or producing the disturbance (which has become accentuated from conditions that have been of long standing) has only been temporarily relieved, and the needs for the proper correction or elimination of that causing the condition have not been reached.

4. Much may be said concerning the cause of the existent conditions, or that producing same. More might be given respecting that than that which is necessary at the present time. It is best, however, to meet the needs of existent conditions; then there may be given that which has been meted to correct the disturbing conditions. That at present to be considered is first the inactivity of the kidneys nominally, and the over abundance of secretions that desire the exit through these channels. This is evidenced by the condition of nausea and the congestion in liver; for the obstruction seen in the descending colon - or near that portion of the system where the intestine empties to the larger, or empties to the colon - this, as we see, is the basis or cause of condition. While the strangulation produced in kidneys is from nerve pressure from the radiating of the nerves in the internal system, especially that of the lower hepatic circulation; and the condition existent needs attention in a way and manner as to remove this trouble, so that the system may have the opportunity to recuperate, or to gather sufficient of the forces in active portions of the body to recuperate from such over, or such excess of, accumulations that should be eliminated through the liver channels, and the kidney channels - see? Hence we

would apply these at the present time:

5. Across the abdomen - that is, so we come in close contact with the bladder - and across the back where we come in contact with the kidney tubes, apply saturated solution of Epsom salts in which there is put a very small proportion or portion of laudanum - see? Hot - hot as the body can well stand same.

6. Over the liver area, and especially the lower portion where the gall duct empties and where the lesion is in the hepatic circulation - that is, the portion where the sacrum is involved - apply hot castor oil - plenty of it! Renew THESE, especially, until there is full activity from the bowel proper.

7. As soon as this shows signs of activity, begin with the deep manipulation - as the body is able to stand - of stimulating the whole hepatic circulation, especially from the last dorsals and the whole of the lumbar region, taking into consideration the intercostal nerves and muscular forces throughout the right side.

8. Do that at present. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) How much laudanum should be applied? (A) Where half to a pound of the salts is used in solution, add twenty to thirty minims of the laudanum to the solution. Small quantity, but, heated, is effective in this condition.

10. (Q) Should the oil be heated too? (A) The oil - Castor oil - must be heated, and these are to be renewed every few minutes until there is the action from the system.

11. (Q) Is there internal medicine that she should have? (A) For the nausea there may be taken equal parts limewater and cinnamon water. This will assist in neutralizing conditions so that the activity set by the application of the oil externally will equalize the condition and cause the proper reaction, rather than regurgitation, through the duodenum and pancrean region. A few drops in water of each; that is, the equal quantity of limewater and cinnamon water.

12. (Q) Should she be taken to doctor's sanatorium? (A) Not necessary if these are applied. The manipulations will be just as necessary as the external applications, that the condition may be kept on the improve as the troubles are started or being removed by the external applications.

13. (Q) Manipulations should be given osteopathically? (A) As given, osteopathically - from the lower dorsals and the whole of the lumbar, not forgetting the intercostal nerve plexus of the right side; and these should be given every day until the condition is relieved.

14. (Q) Doctors claim kidney complication creates nausea.

4612-1 Page 3

Is this correct? (A) Just as given. Complications, sure - but its more the liver and more of the impaction in the descending colon than that of purely ORGANIC conditions in liver OR kidneys.

15. (Q) Would high enemas be beneficial to wash out the colon? (A) High enemas would be beneficial, provided the oil (such as Usoline) is used for the enema, so that there may not be too much dilation of the colon; for this is a portion of the trouble which caused the condition, for the pressure is created on the nerves of the lower hepatic circulation.

16. We are through for the present.
