1. GD: Now you have before you Mr. [4636], who is present in this room. You will answer any questions I might ask you relative to his business associations.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here and many of the business associations connected with this body.
3. (Q) What shall Mr. [4636] do regarding the Star City Coal Mining Corporation receivership at Shelburn, Indiana? How may he realize on the bonds now held in this company? (A) We find in this condition there are honest preparations being made for the handling of conditions. That is, through the receivership efforts there will be the honest effort to prevent the disintegration of the developments as have been done by this corporation, and that, the bonds, may be disposed of in a manner that would be satisfactory. This we find might be accomplished in Memphis, Tenn., with one Charles Smith, and the conditions as now exist with [4636] regarding these conditions, with this honest effort as will be put forth by this company, we would say these will be satisfactory a little farther along.
There have been some conditions quite unsatisfactory that have brought about the existing conditions, and from a two-fold source, yet the developments, the operations, can be handled in such a manner as to be very remunerative to all concerned. These bonds will reach their normal valuation again, and in time be above the par.
4. (Q) What shall Mr. [4636] do regarding Boone Wollen Mill stock in Chicago, Ill.? (A) In this we find that there will be a new low level for a few days. Then with the gradual rise we would buy stock, for the market will show the fluctuations and this may be made into a good investment for the new developments with organization will be quite beneficial to those holding the stock. Should be, however, in the position to pool holdings when necessary. We would say buy at low level, sell at the high when passed 17 5/8.

5. (Q) What shall he do in regard to Western Public Service Company's contract at Colorado Springs, Colorado? (A) There are some conditions regarding these conditions; that is, the contract, that are not entirely satisfactory. These may be straightened out. There are individuals that, with the developments of other interests in this portion of the country, see this chance of a new kind of contract for utility service. This would not be good to let it pass, yet there would be conditions under which it would not be well to continue in same. This could be better judged by developments. Watch the action and movements of (yes, there are individuals in Chicago and in Denver interested in these contracts) these.
6. (Q) What shall he do regarding the Indianapolis Light and Heat Company's stock in Indiana? (A) These may be obtained, and we will find that there will be some extras to be paid for the obtaining of same. Be warned of these individuals, yet this would be well to obtain these and may be accomplished on the second day of August, not before.
7. (Q) Will 17 5/8 remain high on Boome for a long time? (A) No, there will be changes. These as the days opening as 15 5/8, you see, going to 17 5/8 and advancing on the general. 16 1/4 - we have had a fluctuation of a whole point in the last change with the numbers of changing mounting higher as these fluctuate and change. We will have a greater difference. Hence these are given as quotations of stock market reports only as the stock for investment. Keep those so they may be pooled with those in a change. One is as a speculation, one is as an investment. They change as notations, as speculative.
