Time of Reading Unknown. N.Y.C. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

2. Now in and with this body here, [4701], we are speaking of, we find there are abnormal physical conditions in the body. We find that there are things that prevent the functioning of organs and systems in their regular channels, and the physical body, attempting to adjust itself to the physical defects in the organism, brings about bad or not normal conditions in the system. Broken cellular force in the system produces various kinds of troubles to many portions of the body, and especially about those where this abnormal condition exists.

3. Now these are the conditions as we find them in this system: The blood supply in this body, for the body is very good in itself save through the physical defects, you see, the blood supply then is very good for the existing condition, and not only the blood supply, but the force and rebuilding properties in the system. The number of nature's warriors in the blood, the number of the cellular force producing rebuilding units, or plasmatic cells, is very good, only misdirected through some of the causes to which we come later. Again the nerve force in the system is over-taut in many ways, and exaggerated in some portions of this physical body. In the functioning of the organs of the body the brain force throughout its attributes and connections are good. The action of the lung forces and all of its organs and attributes to itself is very good, considering the manner and way in which this body has to care for itself. There are times when some little inconvenience is experienced in this body, yet these are entirely reflex conditions.

4. In the physical make-up here, that is, along the vertebrae of the spine, we find there has been some muscular displacement of some of the centers, where deflected circulation has been taken up by the treatment given to the system, and the system attempting to readjust itself, producing circulation to some portions of the body that causes abrasions in the cuticle, which at times causes much

4701-1 Page 2

inconvenience to the body.

5. The deflection of blood force and nerve energy in the pelvis, from injuries to the spine, produces trouble through the locomotories, pain through the sciatic nerve and much dread to the lumbar plexuses, that is at the second and third, here, you see? At times improper functioning of the pelvic organs, and only reflex to the digestive organs, because some of those have become much exaggerated in their functioning effects through these applied mechanical forces to the system to produce proper functioning. Yet we find there could be given to the system that which should and would correct this condition in the body a very great deal. Though there would be times when the body would feel the return of some of the effects through some of the atmospheric conditions, such as we find them at present, so that it might and would be better for a change of climatic conditions for this system.

6. This is the mode and way we see to treat this organism to bring about a perfect handling of the body itself: We would change the climatic conditions of the body, as it should be warmer, a more southern climate would be better for this body than this place, more air and more oxygen through the proper channels and by being in the open. Then we would apply to this body, the applications to be made externally: Balsam of sulphur rubbed or massaged well into this body along the sacrum and lumbars to the abrasions that appear on the body. As this is being given, which will be absorbed by the system and taken up by the organs, a lotion is made of this: this is for the sore spots on the body that have become very objectionable to the body itself, but it is nature's way of eliminating much of this trouble. Take the roots of the plant known as Plantain. The roots are reduced to a jelly-like form by being boiled, or reduced over the fire, then add to this the oil from butter, without salt in it. This is also reduced by heat, we obtain the oil from the butter by the milk being taken out. This is applied to these same portions of the body.

7. After treatment of this manner and form for some weeks we will find there will appear abrasions or pimples over much of the body, which will be caused by the system taking up and absorbing these medicinal qualities, and the reaction from them. This lotion, or the medicinal properties of the butter and plantain, is then discontinued, and we begin with the ultra-violet ray along the lumbars and to the solar plexus, not any higher on the body of [4701], you see, this ray is applied once a day for five minutes. After this has been given for some ten days it would be left off. Then

would come manipulation through osteopathy, deep in along the spine, and we will find re-adjustment can be made if these are followed out exactly, so that we will have a perfect equilibrium through this brush end of the spinal cord, and there will be an end of the toxic condition. An operation will not be necessary for this body. We will find the body will then adjust itself to conditions and be worth a great deal to itself and to others.

8. (Q) Can we get this plantain in any district, Mr. Cayce? (A) It is best to get it where it grows, or where it is fresh.

9. (Q) Is it available in New York, Mr. Cayce? (A) In some places it is, it grows in many places.

10. (Q) How shall we extract the oil from the butter, Mr. Cayce? (A) By heating, and by extracting the milk from the butter the oil comes off of itself, and just the same with this plant, the residue is drawn off and becomes in the form of a jelly and is mixed with equal parts of the oil of butter, and then applied to this body as given here. In the first treatment with the Balsam of Sulphur, the sulphur is prepared in linseed oil, and when applied to the system is absorbed and carried entirely to the organs about the pelvis and sacrum, affecting the lymphatics in this portion of the body. As this reacts on the nerve force and energy it causes a new coagulation of the blood centers in this portion of the body. The reaction as these places are reduced, and the electric force as applied, bring new energy as it encircles the veins and arteries in this portion of the system, causing them to absorb these particles, and to carry them through the proper channels. Then the body can be given the manipulation and adjustment needed. It will be well to have one give the adjustment that at the same time can apply magnetic force from the hands. Such an one for this body to be in touch with would be Dr. A. C. Layne [A. C. Layne, D.O.] of Griffin, Ga.

11. (Q) What particular point or town would be best for this body, Mr. Cayce? (A) Just as we have suggested here.

12. (Q) How long before this body will be well, Mr. Cayce? (A) We have given it here, follow that.

13. (Q) Are there any other details, Mr. Cayce? (A) The body is good throughout, as we have given here, and needs only the adjustment of the forces as we have given them.

14. We are through.
