1. EC: You see, we have in this body of [4731] many different functions of the body involved in the abnormal condition of a well person. We have first through the head, beginning in the head, through the nasal cavities and the throat and bronchials inflamed, aggravated by the conditions we have from below. Also we lack the rest of the system throwing off the used forces by these functions themselves. We also have in the lungs the conditions as produced by the lack of proper nutriment to the blood and lungs themselves, produced by conditions from below that first produced it. We have impoverishment of the blood; that is, we have the lack of red blood. In fact, we have the red blood corpuscles diminished greatly in number from the normal. We have the white blood in over-quantities but the quality is not much better than normal. The leukocyte properties in the blood are below normal, that is, the rebuilding forces of the broken tissues as we have through inflammation in the throat and lungs. There is an impaired condition in the liver, and intestinal digestion is very poor. The stomach is good at times and at others it is bad, produced by conditions of things taken into it. We have a condition existing in the stomach where for days the stomach is good, the digestion is good, then it is to the bad. In the respiratory system, and the capillary circulation to the extremities of the body, the extremities become clammy; the blood has become thinner than normal.

2. (Q) What was the beginning of the trouble? (A) The first was from way back, when the condition came into the system through that of the nasal into the blood, bone and marrow of the body itself, and has produced a lack of leukocytal condition in the body and in the nerve capacity to throw off used forces in the body from the liver, lungs and throat.

3. (Q) What other conditions do you find that are abnormal? (A) Only some reasonable conditions we would find from the condition of the body. The kidneys and bladder in an overtaxed condition, producing this over amount of the urine at times, straining through the system here of the urinal canal, and overtaxation of the kidneys themselves.

4. (Q) What is the present condition of his throat now? (A) There is a good deal of inflammation and laceration through the nasal, up high, and to the bronchials.

5. (Q) What treatment would you prescribe to relieve these conditions and bring back the body to a normal condition? (A) We have it here. We have into the system, that is, taken in here, for the condition of the bronchial, throat and general circulation to these parts which will be affected by this:

Turbene [Turpentine?].....2 minims, Eucalyptus................. [amount missing?], Heroin..................1/8 [grain?], Creosote, a minim, that is to a dose.

6. (Q) Any other treatment? (A) This works against the stomach. First take one dose a day until we form into the system a betterment of the condition in the stomach and intestines. Form a better condition first into the system with that of water to cleanse the system from the condition it has been in. Then to cleanse the nasal channel we take into it equal parts of soda, salt, cream of tartar, formed into milk warm water, snuffed into the channels themselves. For the condition of the lungs and circulation and to produce stronger respiratory action through the whole system we use inhalation into the lungs of brandy, apple preferred, heated. Not it itself, the air from it. The appetite will be produced, and the whole body will be rid of this languid condition and form a heat to the body and will assist the body in assimilation of things taken into the system and to throw off through the respiratory system, and expand the lungs more. Don't take too much at once. Heat it in something that is wood, preferred, a wooden vessel, and heat it so we have the warm air off of this inhaled into the lungs through the mouth. The body will improve. The diet should not be too heavy, which it has not been heretofore, because it has not been able to keep it. Plenty of fresh air at all times to the body. Exercise not to strenuous for the body, but enough to produce action to the whole body. Keep it with plenty of pleasant things to the eye and mind. He has been worrying a good deal about himself lately.
