Time of Reading 4:25 P. M. Nashville, Tenn.

1. LBC: Edgar, you have before you now, the body of [4812], of ... Avenue, Nashville, Tenn. You will be able to see him and speak out distinctly and tell us what is the matter with him. Examine him carefully and tell us his trouble.

2. EC: [4812], Nashville, Tenn. Yes, I have him here. He has uric acid poisoning, causing this hardened condition of all the nerves and muscles of the whole system; especially through the lower part of the body here. This was the first cause and the treatment for this has brought on all the rest of it. Circulation is very poor and very weak in both the quantity and quality of the blood that is thrown through the system. It is like the lack of power within the stomach to digest the food which is taken into it so as to be assimilated by the blood and carried through the body. There is a lack of power of motion of the body to produce the quantity necessary and carry it through to the nerve tissue, and has brought it to this emaciated condition - emaciated in its power to reproduce in itself building material to the body. That is enough to make him mighty sick. Not as sick in the trunk of the body as in the lower part through the powers of locomotion. His head is all right; brain is good; brain action is good; thought is good and normal.

3. The secretions of the secretory organs are not thrown out and are taken up and carried through the whole system. You see some organs secrete and others throw off, and this secretion of the liver and kidneys is not thrown off because of this hardened condition and is taken up again and thrown through the system, through the hepatic circulation. See?

4. (Q) What would you suggest to relieve this trouble? (A) First remove this trouble we have here. Remove this hardened condition of the liver and kidneys. He must assimilate more of the things taken into the body and thrown out through it here. Relieve the system of this by absorption or electrify it enough to take it through the organs themselves. Rebuild them within themselves through the organism of the system. Anything to get into the system to relieve it. Something to make it strong. Get it into action itself; put new life into the body - the power to

rebuild is very far gone. Take it through electrodes. Anything to stimulate the opposite pole of kidneys and liver. Manipulate the body until we can get it to acting of itself. That can be done all right, but nature is not able to rebuild it within itself.

5. (Q) What would you suggest to do now? (A) An ounce each of rectified spirits of turpentine, oil of juniper, sweet spirits of nitre, balsam of sulphur; eleven drops of this every four hours until we have a reaction from the kidneys. Cleanse the body thoroughly. We will have to follow it as we go along, won't get well in a day, but will have to relieve him mighty quick.
