1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions; also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. Now, we find there are those conditions in the physical forces of the body that cause uneasiness and distress in the body from time to time, although the body is very good in many respects. This inability to keep perfectly in coordination seems to be that which causes distress in the system - that is, there occur occasional conditions that in reflex produce nervous debilitation, also nervous digestion, and these may prelude or may follow those of the nervous or sick headaches at times. These conditions, then, we see, vary as to that seemingly producing the condition.
4. Now, these are the conditions as WE find them in this body, [4864], we are speaking of. First:
5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this very good at most times, yet when these disturbances occur we find oftentimes following same there is the apparent effect of streptococci that produces inflammation in various portions of the system (which does appear - and this would be found in various forms by the analysis of the blood following such conditions), though, when system is cleansed by any purgative, and the body does not eat so much for some days, this apparently disappears; though lethargy and improper elimination - through the various conditions of the body - occurs off and on following same. That is, the condition as is seen in the extremities at times, the heaviness in the feet, tendency for the feet to perspire, tendency then for the body to be restless at night at times. These are after effects, which show the unequalization, or the incoordination, through the system - and, as we shall see, there are specific conditions as produce this.
6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, while we find there are those conditions in the various ganglia along the system which
4864-1 Page 2
would, in a manner, show that these are at least sympathetic with the conditions as existent, yet they do NOT PRODUCE the condition, yet these - WITH the conditions as cause these other disturbances - bring about the greater distress in the body. These, as we will find, are in the 6th to the 9th dorsal, and in the lower lumbar. One produced in times back by a wrench as was received in a strain, by the body being twisted, or thrown, or in lifting. These all seem to have been combined together for this condition. That in the upper portion of the spine, or in the upper dorsal, as we see, produced from a CONTINUAL reaction through the mesenteric system of properties taken IN the system to produce the mucus producing SERUM, as it were, within the body, or by taking too much of purgatives for the body. In the reaction from these were the lesions as are seen here.
7. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, brain forces are good.
8. Conditions in the scalp might be improved, as we see this is hindered by the circulation. This we would do by using a local condition, but better by creating a better condition throughout the GENERAL system, then add to those as would assist in the scalp and about this portion of the circulation.
9. Nose, nasal, and the organs of the sensory system, show the effect of improper elimination, and of the disturbed conditions in nerve and in blood supply, though not in that state of being active within self, or organic conditions existent.
10. Bronchials, lungs and larynx, very good, though we DO find at times harshness, or the tendency of these to be raspy, as it were, in their effect, or in their action and activity.
11. Digestive system often causes distresses. These are produced by that condition as exists in the system which should be eliminated to bring about more normal conditions to the body, and is as the seat, as it were, of the trouble in this body - which is as we see a hindrance, or a form of stricture about the gall duct. This, as we see, prevents the functioning normally of liver, and of the proper digestion taking place in the lower intestines. Hence the variation in the forms of distresses as are produced throughout the system. From these conditions arises the effect as is produced in the nerve system reflexly to the hepatic circulation. Hence disturbance at times in kidneys, and in the MANNER of the urine's passage - for with inflammation in these regions, we find the reflex will produce - when the streptococci is created in system by same, or when the presence is shown - that this irritation
4864-1 Page 3
produces some distress through these portions of the body. Now, taken in time, this may be relieved. Allowed to remain, this may grow to be a condition that would be alarming. Nothing to be alarmed about at present, yet these should be eliminated - corrected - and we will find the body will grow nearer to the normal. This produced in times back by a lick, or an injury to the right side of the body - seems to have been pressed or mashed too much here.
12. To go about to eliminate these conditions, we would add - or put together - the combination of that as will correct the vibration in the system, bringing about normal forces through the INCENTIVE of nerve reaction in the whole system, and of creating a purer blood supply in the body. This done by bringing better eliminations in the system, and through their PROPER channels, and also by correcting these conditions by manipulations osteopathically given, and in GIVING the osteopathic manipulations empty or drain once in a while - or at least twice during the treatments (of at least thirty) - drain the gall ducts, see? osteopathically. By draining same, we mean by EMPTYING same, so that the system in its rebuilding and in its creative forces will bring about better conditions for these portions of the body. Also there will be found in these manipulations that this lesion as forms across the lower portion of the body, near the diaphragm and near the center of the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus, will be reduced or absorbed, by this increased circulation in the capillaries, see?
13. Taking as the medicinal properties while the manipulations are being given (and correct with these manipulations those as we find in the cerebrospinal system), but take while these are being given, these properties, in this manner, and in this manner prepared: To one (1) gallon of rain water, add: Sarsaparilla Root................4 ounces, Wild Cherry Bark.................2 ounces, Dogwood Bark...................1/2 ounce, Prickly Ash Bark...............1/2 ounce, Sassafras Root Bark............1/2 ounce, Yellow Dock Root.................1 ounce, Calisaya Bark..................1/2 ounce, Buchu Leaves....................30 grains.
14. Reduce this by simmering (not boiling) to one (1) quart. Strain, and while warm add four (4) ounces pure grain alcohol, with two (2) drams Balsam of Tolu cut in same, adding five (5) minims Oil of Peppermint.
4864-1 Page 4
15. Shake solution well together before the dose is taken, and take teaspoonful four (4) times each day, before meals and before retiring, see?
16. Do this. Follow this out, persistency, consistently, taking at least thirty to thirty-two (30 to 32) such adjustments, and at least have the gall duct emptied twice during this treatment.
17. Let the diet be rather of the green vegetable than of meats, see? though meats in moderation may be taken, preferably though the JUICES of meats than of meats themselves.
18. We are through for the present.
