1. EC: Yes, we have the body here - [4881]. Now, we find conditions are most unsatisfactory with the physical forces of the body, and there may be said to be a complication, or a combination of disorders in the physical forces of the body. In some respects we have conditions where the blood supply, being deficient in its supply of red blood, prevents the proper building up of the system. In another respect we have the nerve centers of the system so fagged, so disordered, and some impingements or lesions are formed in centers, as to prevent the body regaining its normal strength and vitality, and when there are applications for some conditions as disturb, through the digestive system, or through the ability of the proper locomotions for the body, we find these - apparently, after a time - cause disorders in OTHER directions that seem as hard to cope with as with those as were FIRST applied for. The tendency of the conditions in the joints and in the locomotions to have the distresses, comes from poisons as accumulate in system from those tendencies of the blood stream to not throw out the poisons as are accumulating in the system. At times we have the effect of toxics; then, at others, we find the organs - especially those of the pancreas and of the liver - form those conditions as make for distresses through the alimentary canal, as well as the local disturbances as come to the capillary circulation, or in the cuticle itself.
2. In making, then, changes as would be for the most benefit for the body, we will find - while it would require time and close attention, and that of PERSISTENCY on the part of the body in making its BUSINESS to be better, and aided - yet, as WE find, were these followed or adhered TO - though we will find it necessary to make alterations and changes in the applications as may be made for the body - these, we find, would be the BASIS to begin with:
3. First, we would give those to the system in the form of medicinal properties as will make a change in the whole of

the active forces through the DIGESTIVE system, through the assimilating system, and for eliminations through the alimentary canal. True, these will be found, that after taking same for some little time, there will come disturbance as will appear to upset the body. These, however, we would find, would pass off in a day or two, should the body not become distressed or attempt to take OTHER properties as to change the conditions, but merely cutting off the quantity as would be given until the system adjusts itself, and the betterment would then begin; and for the changes as will be NECESSARY, these may be added from time to time, as those properties as are given are finished, or taken.
4. Then, we would begin as this: First we would take 16 ounces of distilled water. To this we would add 6 ounces of wild cherry bark. Reduce this by simmering, or slow boiling, to 1/2 the quantity. Strain while warm and add 4 ounces of simple syrup. AGAIN reduce this by slow boiling to the 8 ounces. Then we would add:
Podophyllum (dried).....................1 grain, Syrup of Sarsaparilla Compound........1/2 ounce, Elixir of Calisaya....................1/2 ounce, Tincture or Elixir of Buchu Leaves.....20 minims, Tincture Nux Vomica....................20 minims, Oil of Sassafras.......................20 minims, 10% solution Iodide Potassium.........1/4 ounce, 10% solution Bromide Potassium.........20 minims, Tincture Capsici........................3 minims, Pure grain alcohol, or 85% alcohol......1 ounce.
Shake the solution together before the dose is taken. The dose will be teaspoonful 4 times each day.
5. We would also be mindful of the diet, that there are only those of almost the pre-DIGESTED foods or raw foods taken; that is, of mornings, those of citrous fruits, or of gruels, or of the dry cereals, PREFERABLY - when dry cereals are taken - those that require a great deal of mastication before it may be swallowed. For the noon meal, we would take those of broths and of juices, whether they be of vegetable or of meats - or they may be changed to where they may be a portion of each. Of evenings, the BEGINNING should be at least one, two, or three raw vegetables, and this may be ended with some light pastry, provided same is sweetened with other than that of sugar, or is of the natural sweets. Little of soft drinks or of any stimuli may be taken, and at least ONCE each week there should be those of the high

enema, or of the colonic irrigation.
6. When this has been taken, then we may give that as may be the aid in making PERMANENT results for the physical conditions of this body, [4881]. We will find that these will be best active when these are taken in the order as given, in compounding, and taken in the MANNER outlined, taken at least half an hour before the meals.
7. Do not overtax the system. Keep in the open as much as possible. Do not get too MUCH sunburn, or too STRONG a light for the sensory system or for those of the capillary circulation either, but where the air is good and fresh - this the best for the body, until these properties are taken. Ready for questions. We are through with this reading for the present.
