1. (Q) LS: What is the most economical method of removing the casing from oil well drilled 2-1/2 miles north of Kopperl, Tex.? (A) EC: Yes, we have had this before. The conditions that have been produced within the hole itself to remove or preparatory to removing the casing from the well have been improved somewhat. There is a possibility of at present removing the casing from the well by using the jars and making these of greater length and taking hold of the casing and jarring it loose. That is, the center casing, see?
There has been some funny work about this. Not all straight, you see. Some bad incentives from some of those that have been working this before. Conditions have been somewhat improved, not straight yet. Needs to be someone else higher in authority to be on the ground, for there are some bad conditions between some of those operating, and some of those having charge of operations. Clear these up.
This may be removed with loss of some of the casing, not a great amount. Properly handled, with the extra length jar, see? Use in jarring loose the casing which has become imbedded by the continual drain of water and sediment from the outside, and bad conditions produced by heavy vibration produced below, see?
2. (Q) Would it be more profitable to drill another well in the Kopperl pool north the present well in location given previously in a reading, or move the equipment to the pool northwest of Duffan, Tex., given in previous reading? (A) When the conditions regarding the property rights and lease holdings have been set proper. The better plan would be to move to other location or that in the Duffan [Duffau] vincinty, (see?) as has been given, unless these conditions are properly and legally set, done. There is some contention among those that are interested that show the condition. As has been outlined, your success in production will be the better factor in giving the satisfaction to

everyone interested, and with the proper handling the Duffan [Duffau] location will bring success sooner, for financial conditions may arise that would give a great deal of anxiety to many concerned in drilling in the Kopperl territory, for that is deeper you see. Weigh those well. Act on these as outlined. Do that.
3. (Q) Which of the two would be least expensive and more easily financed? (A) We have given it, conditions must be set.
